Hi everyone! I wanted to say a bit more about the wedding of my big brother which I posted up last year. I have some good news to share! First there will be two different types of weddings being held the traditional wedding in July. And the actual wedding that holds in August. I'll explain what the traditional wedding is. For anyone who is Nigerian would understand that in our country we hold two weddings. The traditional one for family's to get to know one another. Then the actual white wedding that comes in later on.

Ok time to get to the chase. I'm going to be a bridesmaid!!! Not only that. My mother called me to the living room for an important talk. She said about the traditional wedding. And said she was having a hard time finding a baker to do the things. She had a word with my uncle who lives in Nigeria. He said why can't eni do it? And he also said anyone who has not tasted enis cake is missing out. To be honest I was surprised that I got that job. And it would be an honor to share my cake to the people and all. So there you have it. I get to be a bridesmaid and bake a cake! Its going to be a 3 tier cake though with different taste of each one.

juuldude : Thanks lol. Both of the weddings are in different places. They had a reason not to chose me, juul please remember I am a sick person. And for once I'll dress nice, and in put on some makeup. ^^

Because I am a tomboy, my mother complains that I don't wear makeup. I've already told her why only for occasions and when I feel like it.

It always feel nice to put on some nice clothes, I wore a suit for the first time when I had a Christmas gala at my school in December, I felt pretty fancy

I know how important family is, especially when it comes to weddings. I thought it was a no brainer to have you make the cake and be a bridesmaid. Congrats, and enjoy yourself

Eniitan : Wow, that's amazing news to hear, big sis! Make sure to bake the yummiest cake there is! Be also the best bridesmaid! I hope you have tons of fun on your brother's weddings.

bobq : Here are the 3 cakes that I will be doing. The first one will be a chocolate cake covered in black colour icing. That's my signature one which comes out very moist. Second is a marble cake. Which is sponge cake and chocolate cake mixed in together and lastly. A plain chocolate cake. ^^

Eniitan : That is really awesome Eni ^-^ !! such a big task and wonderful one and you get a hold on it that's just great and your uncle is right about that! Getting to eat cake made by a sweet and loving woman as Eni?! That is a PERFECT treat ^^ and with her decorating skills and happiness towards making things xD I'm not sure whether I'd be happy or sad about having to eat it.

Seriously though congrats and hope things will turn out well < 3 and I agree with user  *^-^* BEST BRIDESMAID 2015!!  I completely understand the make up part too, and you should only wear it when you feel like (personally I enjoy when people don't use it that often, since it hides their outer actual prettiness, though on occasions such as this i can understand ) 

Have fun and we'll all look forward to hearing how things turn out afterwards when you leave and come back from the wedding (I know it's not till July and August but eh we'd still like to hear how things went, I'm sure) 

That's really cool! 2 Weddings, that's pretty special too. But I know you'll be the best bridesmaid ever! And of course your cake will look great again, too.

The bride may request the cakes to look a certain way, be considerate of that. They call them bridezillas for a reason; they want every part of their day to be perfect or else look out, so if the bride freaks out on you, dont take it personally.

I would love to see a pic of the cakes once they are perfectly ready. Have fun making them.

bobq : Well....heres the thing. The brides family is doing the other cakes which is fruit cake and something else. Whereas I get to choose whatever cake that I am doing for the traditional if that makes sense.

Sooooooooooooooo muuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuch caaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaak!!!!!!!!! And chocolate....I love it! I hope you have lots of fun making them! If things don't go as planned, don't stress out. The fun will all be worth it in the end!

Reopened due to the request of the thread creator.

Hey guys....long time no see. Ok....so guys the wedding is tomorrow on the 4th of July....I logged in to reopen this old thread and to update you guys as of what is happening....things have been stressful, fun a real pain and many more emotions to it. But hey its a wedding right? I am pleased to say those jewelleries I got done in a nick of time and also I am just finishing off the cake and my oh my...it looks  so beautiful... I really wish I can show you but not yet. I may consider doing wedding cakes in the near future. Because my mum and I planned out a good time structure for it as in days weeks and so on....

I am not going to lie. I messed up on the cake twice, and not wanting to allow people to eat these types of cakes, I redone 2 of them to make sure it looks how it is meant to look. I remember one day I had what bob said before in my head echoing *Those cakes better be the best freakin cakes you ever made Eni* so I told my mum to buy more things to fix it. I wasn't going to have any mistakes. Its fine for family birthday cakes. This is a wedding cake we are talking about! So of course it has to be the best, of the best of the best!! I am still running around like a headless chicken to get stuff done. I am sorting out my clothes make up, etc. So that they are out and all I have to do is to grab them. The pictures will be up as soon as I can get them, so don't worry about that. So guys I hope to see you again real soon. I don't forget vizzed that easily one thing that most people know. I always come back. I love you guys too much for me to leave fully.
