So what are the Apps and Services? They're going to be various applications and services that will be available on Vizzed.com that could be of great value and sometimes cost money on other sites that will be located on the Applications / Services section to the site. Some of these services also put strain on the server but the server isn't being fully utilized so I wanted to find a way to put my entire server to use. I'll be adding new things from time to time and will add things that users request.

YouTube Video Downloader + MP3 Converter is the only service that we have available at the moment but it's very useful and powerful. It lets you download videos from YouTube and convert them into different sizes and even into MP3 format. It supports playlist downloads, video trimming, etc.

I wanted to promote this update more since I spent a lot of time on it and it hasn't really been noticed by many users yet.

I've created the most advanced Post / Thread search imaginable. The ability to search for posts based on a variety of parameters is something I've always wanted personally, and I know a lot of you have as well. Here it is:

As you can tell, the page is loaded with features! Here's a list of all the features.

• Powerful Search: The search results when ordered by relevance are incredibly powerful. The search ranks results by how closely they match what you typed. Matches in thread titles and descriptions count more than matches inside posts, and exact phrases or words near the beginning count even more.


• Exact Phrase Matching: Searches like mario 64 can still find and prioritize the exact phrase, even if part of the phrase is normally too short for regular full-text searching. Quoted searches like "Super Mario World" only return results with that exact phrase.


• Search Without Text: Users do not have to type anything into the search box. They can search using only filters, such as user, forum, rating, word count, date range, or post status.


• Search Options: Users can choose whether to search post text, thread titles, thread descriptions, or any combination of those.


• User x: Users can filter results by a specific member. The user box also auto-completes names, making it easier to find the right account. This dropdown behaves similar to the one on the Memberlist page that I recently updated.


• Forum x: Users can limit results to a specific forum.


• Time Frame x: Users can search only posts made between two dates. They can use a start date, an end date, or both.


• Rating x: Users can search by minimum and maximum post rating, including negative ratings.


• Word Count x: Users can filter posts by minimum and maximum word count. Max Words defaults to 10,000, which helps avoid extremely long posts unless the user wants them.


• Power Level x: Users can filter posts by the poster’s power level.


• Void x: Users can filter based on whether a post was voided or not. This makes it easier to review ignored or non-ignored posts separately. NOTE: Most old posts have had their words Voided from someone hacking the site in the past, I plan to come up with a good solution to fix this while trying to keep the posts that should be voided still voided.


• Result Ordering: Users can sort results in many different ways, including relevance, newest, oldest, likes, dislikes, rating, word count, thread title, post ID, and user power level.


• Highlighted Search Terms: Matching search terms are highlighted directly in the results. Stronger matches appear more solid, while weaker matches are still visible with lighter highlighting.


• View Options: Users can choose how much of each result to show. They can show full post layouts, hide layouts, or hide post contents and only show the thread/title information.


• Fast Results: While the results might not see incredibly fast, a lot of time went into optimizing the page as much as possible to make it as fast as it possibly can be. Keep in mind that it's having to search through roughly 1.5 million posts.


• And more: There's tons of other things like the standard 'Posts Per Page' dropdown.

Along with all of the search features, there's also really cool statistics based on all of posts found by the search. Here's a list of those:

• Unique Forums: Number of different forums found in the results.


• Top Forums: The top 3 forums found, with post counts.


• Unique Users: Number of different users found in the results.


• Top Users: The top 3 users found, with post counts.


• Unique Threads: Number of different threads found in the results.


• Top Threads: The top 3 threads found, with post counts.


• Unique Years: Number of different years found in the results.


• Top Years: The top 3 years found, with post counts.


• Average Words: Average number of words per returned post.


• Word Range: Lowest and highest word count among returned posts.


• Average Rating: Average post rating across the returned posts.


• Total Words: Total word count across all returned posts.


• Date Range: Earliest and latest post dates found.


• Common Day: Most common day of the week among returned posts.


• Common Month: Most common month among returned posts.


• Average Time of Day: Average hour of day when the returned posts were made.


• Voided: Number and percentage of returned posts marked as voided. NOTE: This is inaccurate currently for the reason mentioned above.


• Posts / Thread: Average number of returned posts per thread.

I've added a new Applications / Services section to the site and the first app that I've created is a YouTube Downloader which is loaded with features.

This page lets you download videos from YouTube but it also lets you do a TON more than just that. There are tons of other similar services online but a majority of them are scammy, have viruses, and don't have nearly as many features as this.

It does cost Viz and the amount of Viz depends on file size of video (trimming a video can significantly reduce cost), conversion type, if you want the files to be merged into a singe file or zipped (for playlists and multiple files), etc. I may drop the price of how much Viz it costs if anyone thinks it's too high.

Vizzed Patreons get a huge discount. Prioritized and Idolized Patrons receive 75% off, Colorized Patrons receive 90% off, and Stylized Patrons receive 100% off YouTube Downloader Viz costs. In fact, one of the purposes of this feature was to give users more reasons to support the site.


Here's a list of features:
Video Trimming: This allows you to specify only a section of the video to download or convert which is great for when you don't need the entire video. And the Viz cost only depends on the length of the trimmed segment. Normally this 2 hour long video would cost 727 Viz at Best Quality if I downloaded the entire thing, but in my example here, I've selected a 3 minute section which makes the total cost 29 Viz.

Batch Download and Playlist Download: You can select up to 100 videos or select a single playlist and it'll give you the option to either have a Zip file created with all of the videos or have all of the videos merged into a single.

Supports Many Video Formats: You can choose many different file types and video resolutions.

Supports Many Audio Bitrates: You can choose many different file types and bitrates.

No Viruses: Yes, this should be noted as a feature! Because so many similar services are either loaded with ads, malware or viruses.

Fast: It's actually faster than most similar services!

The site is in desperate financial need (more about that below), so I've been thinking about reviving my Patreon page but first wanted to see how much support I'd get (thanks to Supercool for reminding me). That can be found here:

The Patreon page is still up, and people can still become Patreons, but I currently don't keep it up to date like I use to, I don't announce it, and I obviously haven't done my part to make it worth pledging to...but that's going to change and is changing.

What would it take to get you guys to Pledge?

There are already some really good perks for Pledging but I can definitely add more. The $25 Pledge has this: "What Do I Work On? Your input will help determine what I invest my time into working on." but I'd prioritize this more, and give these users more of a say in what features I add and what I fix. The $50 Pledge has this: "1 Hour of My Time Monthly. I'll hang out with you online for 1 hour a month gaming, chatting, etc." and I'll prioritize this. I could also have a monthly stream session where I play a specific game with a bunch of Pledgers of a certain tier each month.

Another possibility is adding services to this site that are only accessible to users that Pledge. The server is utilizing 80% of its disk space but it rarely utilizes more than 50% of its RAM or CPU, which means this is untapped resources. I could add features and services to the site that would be exclusive to certain tiers, which could include:
-YouTube Video or Playlist Downloader / MP3 Downloader (no limits)
-Install an AI model like an LLM or image generation model
-Your own game server (much higher tier)

Let me know if any of these ideas interest anyone and if anyone would be willing to Pledge. Tell me what it would take to get you guys to Pledge. I'm open to honesty.

I could even make a deal that if my development slows down, you can pull the plug on your Pledges but as long as I continue to fix and add things on a weekly basis, you keep your Pledges up.

The site has not been profitable in a long time and I've probably lost $1000s over the past couple of years because of the site. I've made a lot cost reductions over the past couple of years but it still hurts me financially and continues to do so with the recent Google thing. I'm too passionate about this site to close it down, and I've been on my wife's bad side for quite a while due to the financial burden that this site has placed on our marriage, which is why I'm so desperate for some financial support.

What happened in 2025 on Vizzed? Not a lot but more than 2024. We saw the return of some veteran users, which was exciting. We also saw the return of the Spring and Autumn Tour de Vizzed. I fixed various issues throughout the site, including the YouTube Video Uploading and the issue with Threads and Posts Failing to Submit.

Mid 2025, I had to downgrade the server due to expenses. I was able to cut down expenses from $600 a month to $300 a month. This resulted into us having to lose most of the CD games in the Retro Game Room, but the new server still had enough space to keep the top 10% best games for each CD system. The new server surprisingly turned out to be much faster than the previous since the technology on the new server is far superior.

So what are my plans for 2026? Well I recently dumped Vizzed to a Github repository and set it as private. This allows me to work on the site not only with version control but also with AI assistance, which means I can find issues quicker and also add features quicker. For 2026 I also plan to develop a couple of games for the site that utilize the site's features, 1 of them which I did announce already. I'm behind schedule on it but I did announce a Vizzed Rhythm game for the Video Game Music Room which is behind schedule but I do plan to have it released in beta form maybe before the year ends.

At the moment, the file size limit is 256MB. I'll more than likely raise that to 1GB at some point, but I want to be cautious for now to make sure it doesn't slow down the website. In the past, there was suspicions that the site would get slow while someone was uploading a large file, since the videos have to upload to the Vizzed Server first, and then to YouTube from the Vizzed Server.

For the time being, I've also limited Public visibility to Trusted members and up, to avoid people uploading bad stuff and abusing it (this has happened in the past). Anyone that isn't a Trusted Member will have their video set to Unlisted and then me or a staff member will have to manually set the video to Public from the YouTube channel.

Here's how this works

Respond to this thread with up to 2 users you think would do a great job. The more users you choose, the less weight your votes have. So if you feel really strongly about someone, then vote for just 1 user.

Here's what determines the weight of your vote

The weight of a vote depends on the user and how many votes that user makes. Users who have a high rank, been around for a long time, and have a high post count, will have a vote with more weight. This is fair because those users should have a bigger impact on the results since they're more familiar with the community and have a higher reputation compared to someone who just registered with the single purpose of altering the results.

Here's the formula for figuring out the weight of your vote:
User Level * Power Level

And if you have multiple votes, it'd look like this:
(User Level * Power Level) / Vote Count

The User Levels can be viewed from their profile and also next to their posts to the left. A User Level is based on how long a user has been here and how many posts they have.

Here's the numbers that represent each Power Level:
0 = Newbie
1 = Normal
2 = Trusted
3 = Elite
4 = Site Staff
5 = Local Mod
6 = Global Mod
