Convert Lab is a free all in one media converting web browser application that lets you convert audio, video and image files to almost any format and also compress them, trim them, and additional features.
https://www.vizzed.com/apps/convert-lab.php

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TV8QFaA31xs

1791569201.png

General
  • Free to use directly in your browser. No account or installation required.

  • Convert videos, audio and images in one place.

  • Your files stay on your device. Nothing is uploaded.

  • Drag and drop files into the program or select them from your computer.

  • Works on desktop and mobile, with separate Queue, Preview and Output panels on smaller screens.

  • Undo and redo changes to conversion settings, trim selections, audio tags and album art.

  • Try the built-in image, audio and video samples without importing your own files.

Video Conversion
  • Convert supported videos to MP4, MOV, WebM or MKV.

  • Reduce file sizes by adjusting the resolution and bitrate.

  • Choose resolution presets, including 720p, 1080p, 1440p and 4K, or enter your own dimensions.

  • Convert videos to square or vertical dimensions.

  • Keep the original proportions or adjust the width and height separately.

  • Choose whether the video fits inside the frame, fills the frame by cropping, or stretches to fit.

  • Change the frame rate to 24, 25, 30, 50 or 60 FPS, or keep the source frame rate.

  • Rotate videos by 90, 180 or 270 degrees.

  • Remove the audio from a video.

  • Adjust the video’s audio bitrate, sample rate and channels.

  • Keep transparency in supported WebM and MKV exports.

  • Use Match Source to carry over supported properties such as dimensions, frame rate, bitrate and audio settings. Each file can use its own original properties during batch conversion.

Audio Conversion
  • Convert supported audio files to MP3, WAV, FLAC, M4A/AAC, raw AAC, Ogg Opus, Opus, Ogg Vorbis, AIFF, WMA, Apple Lossless or AC-3.

  • Extract the audio from a video and save it as a separate file, such as converting MP4 to MP3.

  • Adjust the audio bitrate using presets or a custom value.

  • Change the sample rate and choose mono or stereo output.

  • Export WAV files as 16-bit, 24-bit or 32-bit float.

  • Normalize the audio to bring its overall volume to a consistent target level.

  • Choose compressed, uncompressed or lossless audio formats depending on what you need.

Image Conversion
  • Convert supported images to PNG, JPEG, WebP, GIF, BMP, TIFF or ICO.

  • Export AVIF when the browser supports it. If that encoder is unavailable, the program saves WebP instead and tells you.

  • Resize images using presets or enter an exact width and height.

  • Lock the proportions so resizing doesn’t stretch the image.

  • Adjust image quality to balance appearance and file size.

  • Use the maximum-quality option for WebP.

  • Keep or remove transparency in supported formats.

  • Create ICO files for icons.

Video Frames, GIFs and Images to Video
  • Save a frame from a video as an image.

  • Choose where in the video to capture the frame.

  • Turn a selected section of a video into an animated GIF.

  • Adjust the GIF’s frame rate from 4 to 12 FPS.

  • Turn a still image into a silent MP4, MOV, WebM or MKV video.

  • Set the still video’s duration, dimensions, frame rate and bitrate.

Trimming
  • Trim video and audio files before saving them.

  • Drag the start and end handles or enter the times manually.

  • Enter trim times down to a hundredth of a second.

  • Set the start or end at the current playback position.

  • Preview just the section you’re keeping and step through video frames.

  • See how much of the file you’re keeping and how much you’re removing.

  • Reset the trim selection to restore the full length.

  • Use precise trimming when you need exact cut times or want to change the output settings.

  • Use Trim Without Compression to trim supported files without re-encoding or reducing their quality. Lossless video cuts follow keyframe boundaries, so the saved cut can differ slightly from the selected time.

Audio Tags and Album Art
  • Read existing song information and embedded cover art when you import an audio file.

  • Edit the title, artist, album, album artist, year, genre, track number and disc number.

  • Edit additional information, including composer, comments, copyright, publisher, BPM and lyrics.

  • Add, replace or remove album art using a JPEG or PNG image.

  • Keep different tags and artwork for each file in a batch.

  • Include supported tags and artwork when converting audio.

  • Save just the metadata and album art without re-encoding the audio or changing its sound quality.

  • Save the changes as a separate copy so the original file stays intact.

  • Support Unicode text in compatible formats, including song information written in other languages.

Previews and Quality Comparisons
  • Compare the original and converted image or video side by side.

  • Use a movable wipe slider to compare both versions in the same space.

  • Switch to an output-only view.

  • Fit the preview to the available space or zoom from 25% to 400%.

  • View images at their actual pixel size with 100% zoom.

  • Scroll both comparison views together when zoomed in.

  • Switch between the original and converted audio to hear the difference.

  • Preview the fully converted image before downloading it.

  • Generate a short converted sample for audio and video before running the full conversion.

  • Move to another part of the file or refresh the preview to check a different section.

  • See the actual converted image size and estimated full audio or video size.

  • Preview the complete output after conversion finishes.

Batch Conversion
  • Add multiple videos, audio files and images to the same queue.

  • Select which files to include, with options to select or deselect everything.

  • Give each file its own format and conversion settings.

  • Apply the same output settings to other selected files of the same type.

  • Choose whether shared settings also include dimensions and trim selections.

  • Keep individual song tags and album art when applying shared settings.

  • See progress for each file and the overall batch.

  • Keep the batch running if one file fails.

  • Retry failed conversions without converting the successful files again.

  • Cancel a batch and restart the remaining jobs while the page stays open.

  • Download completed files individually or together in one ZIP.

  • Automatically give duplicate filenames unique names in the ZIP.

  • Download completed results again without repeating the conversion.

Working with Viz Studio (Coming Soon)
  • Use Convert Lab on its own or open it from Viz Studio.

  • Send a selected editor clip into Convert Lab.

  • Add a converted result directly to Viz Studio’s media bin.

  • Send a converted result back through Convert Lab for another conversion.

Current Format and Size Limits
  • Available video formats and encoding settings depend on your browser and device.

  • Audio processing and lossless trimming accept inputs up to 512 MB, with device memory sometimes imposing a lower practical limit.

  • Animated GIF exports are limited to 48 frames and up to 6 seconds, depending on the selected frame rate.

  • Still-image videos can be set from 0.2 to 30 seconds.

  • Album art supports JPEG and PNG files up to 20 MB and 4096 × 4096 pixels.

  • Supported audio tags and artwork vary by format. WMA supports text tags only; raw AAC and AC-3 do not support embedded tags in this workflow.

  • Batch ZIPs are limited to 4 GB and 65,535 files. Completed files can still be downloaded individually if the ZIP is too large.

  • The conversion queue stays in memory while the page is open, so download your results before closing it.

If you have any questions, issues, or suggestions, let me know.

I said I would release a new feature each week, I'm a little late with this one, but the next one should be on schedule.

Also, a shout out to my Patrons for helping me pay for this site! These features are may way of saying thanks.

This seems like a really useful feature, I don't think I have ever seen something like this before, and if I did it probably would give a virus lol. Being able to convert a mp4 to an mp3 is useful for me. or like a jpeg to a png.

classgame : I've increased the limit to 1 GB. The limit can't realistically go much higher since it's being rendered in the browser and the browser can't support much more and anything higher than that can cause browser issues. If I figure out a solution to that, I'll implement it.

okay I'll give it a try to see if a video I had been trying to shrink will accept (it's a rather trying process because no matter how many times I click 480p not much progress is done, and 240 just makes it blurry)

*one check later* not enough the video is 1.01 GB I guess I'll just keep playing around with ClipChamp and see if anything makes a difference (I have a big one that I can experiment with and hope it does shrink because it would be a shame if I can't upload it) well at least this can be good for a counter regarding file size. However I did have a turning point when experimenting. Apparently the size of the film also has to do with the size of the screen.

Man, this would have been an absolute blast back in time. When I was trying to become a voice actor the ability to strip videos of its audio was much needed yet I had no effective way of doing it, this bad boy would have given me much easier access to that (and who knows if my life would have been different due to that).

While it's not going to be one of the most useful apps for me, I will still use it for a couple things. Resizing and somewhat editing images could be very welcome, and the Trimming will be a marvelous tool when I renew my MP3's playlist.

I'll keep checking if the rest of functions could be useful as well, but for now I already have a ton to do and tamper with so it's not like I'll get bored anytime soon xD

classgame : I wish I could find a solution to that problem.

EX Palen : That's great feedback, and some good examples of it's potential use. I find myself adding features to it that are helping me do things quicker so this will definitely be getting continuous updates.
