Before I promote my Patreon and do a shoutout, I wanted to give a sneak peak at a few things I've been working on for the site over the past year, with some near completion. I'm hoping the fact that I've been expanding the site will rejuvenate everyone's interest in the site and encourage users to help support it financially.

Netplay for Game Boy / Game Boy Color / Game Boy Advance
This is basically finished, I just need to test it out thoroughly and see if it actually works as intended.

Vizzed Rhythm (Name Pending)
This will be a Rhythm game that lets users compete for high scores based on any song in the Video Game Music Room. This one is the closest to having a public release.1784565977.png

Vizzed Platform Maker
This is a surprise feature that some people may have come across already. It basically lets you create 8-bit side-scrolling platform games. It's loaded with tons of features and customization. Think Mario Maker but capable of making way more games and have far more things that you can completely change. It'll be a little while before it's launched but hopefully no more than a month. However, I could potentially have a beta up and ready to go within a week if there's enough interest.

3D Voxel MMORPG
This would be the biggest secret so far, and is the project that's furthest from completion. It'd be a shared world where users could build their own houses and structures. Users would be able to create their own characters, their own objects, block by block if they wanted, or select from templates. I'll give more information about this project at a later point.

I wanted to give a shout out and thanks to my supporters on Patreon. Their financial support has helped out so much during a time when the site is costing more than it's making and they're the reason the site hasn't had to be significantly downgraded. I'm hoping these shout outs give them more recognition among the Vizzed community. If anyone else is interested in supporting this site (there are tons of benefits for doing so), you can help out for as little as US $2 a month here:
https://www.patreon.com/DavidAuchampach

The site currently costs around $300 to run, the Patreons are currently covering $131 of that and I'm covering the rest. I had been covering $300 a month alone until these guys stepped up (and actually $500+ a month before the server migration took place last year). The site currently has no ads (for complicated reasons) but I'll be looking into testing out ad networks in the near future.

Here are all of my current supporters:
$50 Tier
dkmec20: Patron since May 2026, total pledge of $100!

$25 Tier
pokemon x: Patron since April 2026, total pledge of $75!
supercool22: On and off since 2023, total pledge of $105!

$10 Tier
Snax: Patron since April 2026, total pledge of $30!
tgags123: Patron since April 2026, total pledge of $30!
Zora Marslink: Patron since September 2023, total pledge of $340!

$5 Tier
dgj_83: Patron since April 2026, total pledge of $15!
Okazaki Tomoya: Patron since September 2018, total pledge of $470!

$2 Tier
DavidMcC1989 : Patron since September 2019, total pledge of $164!
merf: Patron since August 2016, total pledge of $356.36!

Thank you guys

This looks awesome! I love all the new things you're adding to the site that are original and not things people can get at other places. I think that will be good for the site. Hopefully help bring people in.

And I'm glad you're exploring getting some ads again to help pay for things. I wish I could help out more but I don't have the time or extra funds to do that.

Hopefully this does get other people to consider it though.

I'm excited about the platform maker. I'd like to try to make a Contra Castlevania hybrid. Or maybe make a Mario level that plays like a Sonic game.

geeogree : Yeah I'm trying to come up with unique ideas and concepts. Some of these new features with encourage community driven content, which is great. Some of these new "games" will utilize Viz in a way that'll increase the value of Viz again.

Snicket : All of those types of things will be possible. The Contra Castlevania hybrid would probably be possible within a month from now. The Mario in Sonic would also eventually be possible.

What you described is what of the most exciting things about the Platform Maker. It also has game templates and character templates built in. So for example, I can select the Bubble Bobble template and then I could replace the hero with Mario from Super Mario Bros and it'd be Mario killing the enemies by jumping on their heads instead of shooting bubbles at them. That example is something that already works.

I'm also making it so that you can take any of the Template games, we'll say Super Mario Bros for example, and given it modern day mechanics like Double Jump, Wall Jump, Reverse Gravity button, etc.

If all goes well, I might release a beta of it as early as tomorrow.

Vizzed.com is very expensive to keep alive! The Ads pay for the servers.

Vizzed has 3 TB worth of games and 1 TB worth of music.  This site is free to use but the ads barely pay for the monthly server fees.  If too many more people use ad block, the site cannot survive.

We prioritize the community over the site profits.  This is why we avoid using annoying (but high paying) ads like most other sites which include popups, obnoxious sounds and animations, malware, and other forms of intrusiveness.  We'll do our part to never resort to these types of ads, please do your part by helping support this site by adding Vizzed.com to your ad blocking whitelist.
