Today I hit the worst milestone anyone could ever hit, 1200 Notifications. For the past 6 weeks I've been so busy with trying to bring in a 2nd income that I just did not have time to go through my Notifications. Now that I'm all caught up financially (for the most part), now I'm greatly behind on work on the site.

So my quest of going through those notifications begins right about now. I would take a screenshot of all the notifications but it's 34 pages long on my 1920x1080 monitor so I'll just take a picture of the scary reminder. Hopefully it doesn't take more than a week to get through these all if I invest 8 hours a day going through them.

Wow, kinda makes me wonder how high that number could go. Is that your personal record for the most notifications?

You invest 8 hours into just viewing and going through your notifications David wow. I applause your efforts and dedication to the site to make the site  better and to keep the members of the site happy. You really are a unique site owner, come to think of it, not to many web site owners are this personal with their members but that is what makes Vizzed great. Once again thanks David for all the time and effort you put into making the site what it is!

That sure is a lot of notifications. I knew you must get a huge amount of notifications, but that's just incredible. lol

Is 1200 the maximum of notifications that a user can get or is it just coincidence that it's such an even number?

Darn that is a lot. And by making this thread you made it even worse. Lol

And this is why I never went more than 4 hours without checking my notifications when I was a global.

The higher your power level on the site, the more notifications you receive. It would make sense that if the owner disappeared for two weeks that he'd have two weeks worth of notifications.

Crazy though, to see the vast number.

That is a scary number. Good luck going through them all. Do you think you will need caffeine or an energy drink to go through them?

thephantombrain : That is a personal record, my last record was around 700 or 800 I think.

Sword legion : Here's the secret to my success at pulling this off. Become a very busy person and then put off all those responsibilities for 6-8 weeks lol.

legacyme3 : Yeah I always hate putting it off to the side but sometimes I'm left with no other choice. Thankfully my PMs didn't get backed up too bad, I think I only have 107 unread PMs which isn't bad compared to the big numbers I've had in the past.

I was thinking about being "that guy" and just summoning you to your own thread as a reply...but then I realized it would hardly make a dent in what you have there XD. This 'reply to your thread' should be enough.

When I read the title I thought there was some sort of counter on how many notifications you've received and I thought to myself...The owner has only accumulated 1200 notifications in the time he's been here? That can't be right.

The I saw the screenshot and sat there laughing for about 1:30 seconds straight .

So there's actually a way to check back farther than 100? Never knew that.

megamanmaniac : It doesn't help that I recently launched a Minecraft server, that has taken a lot of my time between managing it, fulfilling user requests, installing new features and addons, etc.

Blubcreator : To be honest, Notifications that don't require my time or attention are sometimes a huge relief lol. The one that require a lot of my time are the ones that make me not want to go through the Notifications.

EideticMemory : I would've got to it sooner if it weren't for the Minecraft server lol. There isn't a way to check back any further but when you first open the Notification page for the first time, than it'll show all Notifications. Once you refresh the page though, than you'll only see the last 100 so I have to make sure not to let that happen otherwise there will be a lot of notifications I wont be able to attend to.

After 1000 it should just say AFK and just stop counting the notifications.

I can't even imagine the time you're going to spend reading and replying to these posts. That server kept you busy to say the least. Well, good luck with this quest for the notifications. I'll give you the masterwork longsword +3 as a reward... or maybe not ha ha
