New RGR Plugin = Supports Video Recording, Sega CD and Fixes
RGR Plugin 1.94 is ready for download
Click Here to Download (Click Here for a Mirror Download) NOTE: No save files will be lost in upgrading. EDIT: I just updated the download links with 1.941 which fixes audio lag in Mednafen systems Video Recording This is the biggest feature in this plugin release and is a very commonly requested feature. You now have the ability to record gameplay videos using the RGR Plugin. The games record with little to no lag and the best thing is, it requires no video recording knowledge and no additional software. Go ahead and start recording some videos and upload them to youtube, just be sure to place a link to the rgr game page and than add that video to the rgr game page (to help increase your videos views and likes AND to help out vizzed). If you want to earn Viz by recording videos, scroll further down this post. The supported systems include: Nintendo, Game Boy, Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance, Famicom Disk System, Game Gear, Sega Master System, Turbo Grafx, Atari Lynx, Wonderswan, Wonderswan Color, SuperGrafx, Neo Geo Pocket, Neo Geo Pocket Color and Super Nintendo (SNES requires that you play in Mednafen mode, link can be found at the top left of game window). Also note that Game Boy Advance games can now be played in Mednafen and the benefit of that is Mednafen has higher video recording capabilities (as far as emulation goes, the default VBA is usually best). Sega CD Fully Supported Even though Sega CD was added with the last plugin, it wasn't fully supported; this is why it was released in a beta state. Now it's all set and ready to be enjoyed. Various Fixes Various things have been fixed, one of them being the N64 Hi-Res Texture hack games. Want to earn up to 50,000 Viz from recording videos? Earn up to 1,000 Viz for every 10+ minute video you record. Go here for more information: https://www.vizzed.com/boards/thread.php?id=49859 Your Donations Help As some of you know, vizzed has been in a financial struggle ever since Google took down the ads on vizzed months ago. We've been trying out other ad networks but haven't had any luck. If you enjoyed this update and would like to financially support future updates, please take this time to donate. Also keep in mind that server fees still need to be paid monthly so if you want to help us out with the bill, contact me or simply donate. If you have any questions, comments, feedback or compliments, please ask in this thread: https://www.vizzed.com/boards/thread.php?id=49844 |

Game of Week & Day = Free Netplay
Normally you need to be either a powerlevel of at least 'Normal' user or have the Netplay/Laptop item in order to join netplay sessions and you need the Netplay/Laptop item in order to join sessions. I recently made it so that anyone can join and create Netplay sessions on the Game of Week and Game of Day games. Not all of the Game of Week/Day games will have multiplayer or support netplay but when they do, you might as well take advantage of it if you currently don't have access to netplay.

Want the Netplay, Beta Test Ticket or Laptop item?
Want the Netplay, Beta Test Ticket or Laptop item? Here's a special offer which will offer you the quickest way to earn these items. This offer is open to everyone.
You can earn these items for taking screenshots and also assigning those screenshots to a category (and sub category when available). All previous screenshots you have taken count just as long as you assign them to a category. Here's how many screenshots you have to take and assign to qualify for the following items: 100 = Beta Test Ticket (allows you to play games before they officially release) 250 = Netplay Item (allows you to create netplay sessions or join them if you're a newbie user) 500 = Laptop and Beta Test Ticket (laptop item allows you to play all games with no viz) For more information on items and other item shop accessories, go here: https://www.vizzed.com/boards/store.php?action=shops&types=accessory Bonus: -If you assign a screenshot to a category or sub category on a game that hasn't had a screenshot submitted to that category or sub category, your submission counts as 1.5 screenshots (example: if a game has user submitted screenshots but no one has taken a screenshot of the title screen and you take one and assign it to the 'Introduction' category or if no one has submitted and assigned a screenshot to certain levels in a game) -If you take screenshots of a game that has no user submitted screenshots, your submissions for that game count as 1.5 screenshots (in other words, it'd count as 2 screenshots since the above bonus would apply as well) Rules: -You must assign all of your screenshots to its proper category -If your screenshot fits into a sub category, you must also assign it to a sub category -Your screenshots must be unique; in other words, they can't be too similar to another one of your submissions -Offer ends November 1st Tips: -Find a game with a lot of levels/locations and take a screenshot of each level/location -Find games that have few or no screenshots and submit screenshots to those (you can usually find those games on the back pages) When you've qualified for one of the items, let me know in the below thread which item you want and tell me how many screenshots you took that qualify you for that item and I'll look into it and if I'm satisfied, you'll be granted the item that you're asking for https://www.vizzed.com/boards/thread.php?id=47557 |

Sega CD Beta Release
Sega CD games have been added to the site, but they're currently in a beta state and can be found here:
https://www.vizzed.com/playonlinegames/index.php?system=scd Currently only staff and beta testers can play the games. To become a beta tester, you'll need to buy the 'Beta Test Ticket' for 10,000 Viz here: https://www.vizzed.com/boards/store.php?action=shops&types=accessory The Sega CD games will be available to everyone at the end of the month but if you're not a beta tester or a staff member but want to try it out, we currently have 1 Sega CD game available to everyone; Sonic CD: https://www.vizzed.com/play/sonic-cd-scd-online-sega-cd-63680-game There were 220 games released for the Sega CD, Vizzed has almost all of them, however, some of the games that vizzed has may not work or may need fixing, that's why they're in beta. While the games are in beta, you can play them for free if you own the Laptop item or the V-Machine item but once they're no longer in beta, you wont be able to play the games for free, you'll have to pay for each individual game. Since the Sega CD games are so large in file size, they're going to cost a lot of Viz to help cut down server fees. The average Sega CD game is going to cost anywhere between 100 - 1500 Viz. If I didn't do that, there's a good chance that so much bandwidth would be sucked up that vizzed would lose money and could potentially close down, so the high Viz prices on the Sega CD games are meant to prevent that from happening (the games are anywhere between 50 - 500 MB each). If you have any questions, please ask in this thread: https://www.vizzed.com/boards/thread.php?id=47089 |

RGR Plugin 1.91 Available Now! = Netplay, New Systems, Features and MAME/Arcade
The RGR Plugin 1.91 has been in development for almost 3 months but after 100s of hours and $1000 of investments, it is now ready for download:
http://www.vizzed.co/VizzedRgrPlugin-v1.91.msi And here's a mirror link in case the above link doesn't fully download: https://www.vizzed.com/vizzedboard/retro/VizzedRGRPlugin/Installer/VizzedRgrPlugin-v1.91.msi Netplay This is the most anticipated feature ever! You can now play various games with others online. You can view all sessions on this page: https://www.vizzed.com/playonlinegames/netplaysessions.php You must have a powerlevel of Normal User and up to join sessions, or you must buy the 'Netplay' item from the itemshop using Viz. For more information on powerlevels, go here: https://www.vizzed.com/boards/controlpanel.php?category=help&help=usernamesandpowerlevels In order to create netplay sessions, you need to own the 'Netplay' item for 25,000 Viz which you can get here: https://www.vizzed.com/boards/store.php?action=shops&types=accessory Supported Systems: Nintendo 64, Super Nintendo, Sega Genesis, Nintendo, Turbo Grafx and a few others. MAME/Arcade Games Arcade games have been among the most requested games and we're currently in the process of making them available. Since they're in the process of being worked on, they'll only be available to staff members and beta testers. However, if you want to become a beta tester so that you can get early access to the Arcade games, you can buy the 'Beta Test Ticket' from the item shop for 10,000 Viz here: https://www.vizzed.com/boards/store.php?action=shops&types=accessory Once you have that, you can test out the Arcade games. Probably around 30% of the Arcade games currently don't work but they're all free of Viz during the testing phase. Also, all of the Arcade games still need to be renamed. You can find the Arcade games here: https://www.vizzed.com/playonlinegames/index.php?system=mame Since most of you are now feeling pretty disappointed that you have to either save up Viz or wait a few months to get access to the Arcade games, I've decided to make 8 games available right away: Small games: Donkey Kong, Marble Madness, Frogger, Flicky Big games: Metal Slug 5, King of Fighters 2000, Cruisn USA, G.I.Joe New Systems Atari 5200 has been added to the Retro Game Room. Apple II and Commodore 64 games are now compatible with the RGR Plugin, they were already available using Java emulators but now they can be played using the RGR Plugin which means better playability, better compatibility and more features. You can find Atari 5200 games here: https://www.vizzed.com/playonlinegames/index.php?system=a5200 If you have any questions, feedback or problems with the new plugin, please reply to this thread: https://www.vizzed.com/boards/thread.php?id=45575 |
