Whether you found out from word of mouth, the recent newsletter or because you already have access, a lot of you probably know that Netplay is in development and is ready for people to test it out.

If you're interested in testing out the netplay, go to this thread:
https://www.vizzed.com/boards/thread.php?id=44366

Note that only Trusted Members and higher can create netplay sessions, so those who apply to be a netplay tester will only be able to join sessions already created.

Trusted Members: You guys can already access the netplay page; more info here: https://www.vizzed.com/boards/thread.php?id=44117

Once you've tested out the plugin thoroughly, please leave as much feedback as possible to this thread:
https://www.vizzed.com/boards/thread.php?id=44366

The point of this is to get as much info as possible so that we can get the netplay working as good as possible and released as soon as possible.

As some of you know, I've been working on getting legal backup copies of the games in the RGR. I have a lot already but still a ton to go. Systems you could donate games for include SNES, NES, GBA/GB/GBC, N64, Genesis, TG, etc (basically anything, even modern, but preferably retro).

Here's what I'll give you based on how many games you donate:

Donate 2-5 games:
-25,000 Viz
or
-Trusted Member Position
or
-Gold Membership on Get-Your-Rom.com ($25 value)

Donate 6-10 games:
-50,000 Viz
or
-Elite Member Position
or
-Platinum Membership on Get-Your-Rom.com ($50 value)

Each item from above is limited. The amount of games required to donate greatly depends on the games you plan to donate. Simply respond to the thread below (or send a pm) of the games that you're willing to donate and I'll tell you whether I approve of them or not. Once approved, I'll give you my address for you to send the games to and the item that you want will be given to you once I receive the games.

You can donate either retro games or modern games. Any modern game you donate or retro games that I already have that you donate, I'll probably sell them and use the profit to invest into the RGR Plugin for more systems or features.

The new RGR Plugin 1.7 is available now, download it here:
http://www.vizzed.co/VizzedRgrPlugin-v1_7.msi

This plugin should automatically uninstall the previous when you go to install it.
(click here for a mirror download link if the above isn't working or is too slow)

This new plugin is about 3 times larger than the previous plugin (at around 45 MB), however, it may be the last plugin for a very long time because this new plugin gives me the ability to add new systems to the plugin/rgr without having to release a new plugin. So future systems will be added to the site and made playable without the need for getting another plugin. So this may be the last plugin you'll ever have to install. You wont lose any save files from upgrading.

New Systems
The following are new systems which have been added to the Retro Game Room
-MSX 2
-ColecoVision (supports screenshots and saving)

Newly Supported Systems
The following systems were already playable on the site but now they're playable with the plugin which means they now have better compatibility, playability and features
-Atari 2600 (supports screenshots and saving)
-MSX

Hi-Res N64 Texture Hacks
This new plugin now supports High Resolution texture pack hacks for N64 games. These are basically enhancements to N64 games which either give them waaay better graphics or new graphics. We currently have 10+ games to choose from: https://www.vizzed.com/playonlinegames/index.php?hackType=Texture%20Pack

AL, TG, SGFX, NGP, NGPC, SMS, SGG, WS and WSS now support high scores again
The last plugin had problems with high score submissions for Atari Lynx, Turbo Grafx, SuperGrafx, Neo Geo Pocket, Neo Geo Pocket Color, Sega Master System, Sega Game Gear, WonderSwan and WonderSwan color, so the ability to do high scores was taken down last month. As of this plugin, the feature is back!

Thanks to tom760 for helping make this update possible. To thank him, please donate to his paypal address here: tomwg123@gmail.com If you'd like to see more systems added, please donate to the site to help us speed of the process of getting more games and systems added. You can donate to the site here: https://www.vizzed.com/boards/donations.php

If you have any questions or feedback regarding this update, please reply to this thread:

The new 'Video Game Room' has launched, which is eventually going to have pages for every video game and all the information and graphics you'll ever need for any game (currently it only has Dreamcast, Playstation, Playstation 3, Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii). Keep in mind that these games are not playable, this new section of the site will be similar to ign, gamefaqs, or mobygames. More information can be found here:

If you have any questions or feedback, please post them here:
https://www.vizzed.com/boards/thread.php?id=37506

The server transfer is completely finished. Save files, screenshots, graphics, site files, etc... everything has been transferred to the new server. The site should also be faster than it was before.

If you have any questions or comments, please post them in this thread:
https://www.vizzed.com/boards/thread.php?id=37452

The transfer isn't quite complete, some screenshots still need to be transferred. The old backed up RGR Plugin save files also still need to be transferred. Everything else is transferred though, the games should all work and the RGR Plugin games should work now. File uploading should work now as well and screenshot submissions and highscore submissions should also work.

If there's something that isn't working since we transferred over to hostgator, please let me know in this thread:
https://www.vizzed.com/boards/thread.php?id=37344

The server transfer is very close to completion, just a few things left to transfer and a few things left to update on the new server. Posting works again. File uploading is still down but it should be back up soon. Maintenance will be completely finished within 12 hours.
