Each day there will be 4 Jerseys you can compete for:
Yellow Jersey: Most words in a day
Blue Jersey: Most posts in a day
Red Jersey: Biggest post in a day
Green Jersey: Most 30+ word posts in an hour

If you get 1st place in a Jersey for a day, you get to "wear" that Jersey the following day. To "wear" it means that the background of your username will have a unique background graphic. Only the top 5 places of each Jersey gets points, 1st gets 5 and 5th gets 1. Whoever has the most points for any Jersey at the end of the competition gets to wear that Jersey for the entire next month. If you have more than 1 jersey, your jersey receives stripes for each jersey color you own.

Along with Jerseys are Banners that change your username color. They basically represent who has the most points total:
Rainbow Banner: Whoever has the most points so far in the competition
White Banner: New member who has the most points so far in the competition (anyone who has signed up in the past 3 months)

You'll be DQ'd if:
-More than 35% of your daily posts are made in one of the spam forums which include: Crazy House, Vizzed Market and Polls and Questions
-You copy content from other websites or other posts
-You use the "tabbing" technique to make a bunch of posts in a short amount of time
-The number of posts you scored toward the Green Jersey is more than half of your total posts made for the day

Day 1 starts off with a ton of competition, over 1000 posts.

I am extremely proud.  I had great competition with cnw.  I tried to take the blue jersey from her, but I spent to much time resting and chatting in the chat room to do so.  I hope that the I can continue to have a strong lead in the TDV.

More than a little spam too. I let it slide because it was the first day which is always the craziest.

Congratulations to the days jersey winners, I tried my hardest to compete but you guys smoked me in most the categories. Hopefully day 2 brings more interesting conversation!

Lucky for me the most words of the day and most words in a single post jerseys exist or I don't think I would stand a chance otherwise lol.

I know I don't post ANYWHERE near enough to gain any points in this thing. The first place person tends to have more posts in that one day than I get in a week. If I get to 20 posts in a single day, that's an accomplishment for me >.> that's pretty much me pushing myself to stay on and post as much as I can and then I look and see 100+ posts from someone else. I don't even have 100 posts total! x.x

mr.pace : I actually had no idea you was trying to take the blue jersey from me. lol  It looks like both our teams are tied for now. I wish both of us luck and everyone else in this competition.

Crazy Li : Only 2 jerseys involve post count, the other 2 can easily be accomplished without having to post much but they do involve having to spend more time per a post since they involve making big posts.

Well I did my best but Cnw made it very challenging.

mr.keys steals rainbow banner from mr.pace

Darn.  That won't happen again.  I will reclaim the rainbow banner tomorrow.  Along with my covenant red jersey.

cnw64 cheated for longest post of the day for yesterday. His longest post was a review and he typed out around a 1000 word review and then at the end of the review he copy and pasted the entire review over again, made the text invisible so you can only see it if you highlight it.

Kinda disappointing since I'm trying to apply to become site staff and I see him as site staff making a mockery of the competition. In my opinion if you got a site staff position you should be a role model , not breaking rules and trying to get away with it. I don't mean to be rude or anything cnw64 just offering my opinion and you blatantly cheated today, and Its also my opinion you are massively spamming for the TDV this month.

I summoned the local mods to the review, its in the game reviews section. Just highlight the end of the review and you will see what I mean.

Wow....I was thinking that this competition would be fun and easy, but those numbers are staggering!  How do you people do it?!  Do you not have real lives?!?!  HAHA. 

I guess I'm at a huge disadvantage.  Even when I get off work, I have work to do that home.  *whibbles*

Do you have to officially enter, or is anyone on the site automatically counted towards the competition?

I don't think I have even the slimmest chance of winning, sadly.  *sighs* If it weren't for work, I could find things to talk about all day...I love to write!

It's not unrealistic to compete, but the first few days are near impossible to do well in unless you do have no life haha.

Once the month gets out of the first week, you'll have a better chance.

It's automatic. You are entered automatically when you make a post, similar to the VCS.

Oh okay, that's awesome then.  I'm sorry, but I'm new to the site, so telling me it's like VCS really does nothing for me!  haha!  Plus, it's like 2 am for me.

I hope I can make a dent in the competition at least once.  I love the idea....it's a great way to get people active and posting.  I bet I could do the same thing and get my students to post more on my site. You know kids love to compete.  Heck, they'd compete if the prize was a single sock!

legacyme3 : No problem, if it was possible, I'd DQ him from the entire competition for doing that because the fact that he did that tells me that he'll probably do anything to get points which means we should prepare for him to try and cheat again.
