Currently only staff and beta testers can play the games. To become a beta tester, you'll need to buy the 'Beta Test Ticket' for 10,000 Viz here:

The Sega CD games will be available to everyone at the end of the month but if you're not a beta tester or a staff member but want to try it out, we currently have 1 Sega CD game available to everyone; Sonic CD:

There were 220 games released for the Sega CD, Vizzed has almost all of them, however, some of the games that vizzed has may not work or may need fixing, that's why they're in beta.

While the games are in beta, you can play them for free if you own the Laptop item or the V-Machine item but once they're no longer in beta, you wont be able to play the games for free, you'll have to pay for each individual game.

Since the Sega CD games are so large in file size, they're going to cost a lot of Viz to help cut down server fees. The average Sega CD game is going to cost anywhere between 100 - 1500 Viz. If I didn't do that, there's a good chance that so much bandwidth would be sucked up that vizzed would lose money and could potentially close down, so the high Viz prices on the Sega CD games are meant to prevent that from happening (the games are anywhere between 50 - 500 MB each).

I'll test some games whenever my Internet stops being slow... I bet those games take a lot of time to download.

Just bought the ticket so i could try and those games cost a lot of Viz to play. Are you going to lower it after beta testing or what because 3 game is nearly 1 k Viz but i hope it pays of.

Jordanv78 : For consistency, please report any games not working to the thread I summoned you to in the site staff forum, just so that thread can be a 1 source for all information regarding Sega CD game testing.

There's no specific games I need tested out, so you can basically just do them in alphabetical order.

Just out of curiosity, You didn't include one of the Sega CD launch titles that has that naked chick scene in it, did you (some stealth game or something)? Not really a good idea to that one since all it would take is for one person to play the game (I believe you have to go through a big chunk of it), find it, spread word of it and cause Vizzed to lose a little bit of it's good reputation.

Cyro Xero : I didn't know there was a Sega CD game with actual nudity. If you can remember what it was called, I'll be sure to remove it.

I am scared that we have Sega CD games. Because it cost a lot of money. And I don't want Vizzed to close. But I got a suggestion. We should not let the guests to play Sega CD games because it cost no Viz for them. And so, because it don't cost viz, people who are members and who don't want to waste Viz will play as a guest.

By the way, the Sega CD games should all cost 500+ Viz because it take a lot of space.

Why not try to find some iso files (disk image)? it has a pretty good compression rate I'm not sure what it is but I'll try to find out

goku123 : I'm going to bet that all Sega Cd games are ISOs with the extension of .bin and are WinRar zipped. That's pretty much how all the RGR games are compressed.

I can't wait to play most of the games on the sega cd. They are going to cost around the hundreds, because of the file size.

goku123 : tRIUNE is correct. Actually the Sega CD games I've prepared for vizzed are smaller in file size that ordinary Sega CD games. Since the audio has been converted to MP3 format, that greatly reduces the file size.

lugiaboy : If Sega Saturn did get added, it probably wouldn't be for a very long time. This Sega CD project has taken me a while and I'll have to wait months to see if hurts the site financially at all or not.

Last time something went to beta testing (the MAME games in this case), I had to repurchase the Beta Test Ticket because it was saying I needed to go buy the ticket even though I already had one from near when I joined the site. Glad to see it's not asking me to buy it again this time around.

I'll check out a few games when I have a bit more time to see if things are working fine.

sonikku : It might've been called the 'Secret Ticket' when you owned it and when I renamed it to 'Beta Test Ticket', it probably didn't update the name for you.

The current itemshop is actually a feature I didn't make, I've made modifications to it but it's really kinda crappy. I started working on a new item shop around 2 years ago but never had a chance to finish it. Hopefully I'll finish it before the year ends.

You put Saturn game on here and I'll be the happiest person on Vizzed. But I was just wondering about exactly what you said- if having Sega CD would be a plus or just a liability. Even if it doesn't work out right away, we should still explore other ideas to have disc-based games here and use that as a lesson.

Eddy88 : He'll probably make it so that they cost more Viz to play, taking them down altogether would mean his time was wasted.

Cyro Xero : One of the reasons Sega CD is a good experiment is because they didn't make a lot of Sega CD games and the Sega CD games can be compressed more than most other CD systems. Plus Sega CD doesn't increase the chances of legal issues as far as I know.
