Here are the August 2012 T&C Thrilla's Surfari Speed Run Competition winners.


1st.

There were only 3 people who finished the game but that might be because the game was really hard. Hopefully future Speed Run competitions have more participation, I'll have to pick out easier games. I am very impressed with these 3 for beating the game.

I believe to get a time under 18 minutes requires a perfect or near perfect game. I died at least 5 times and wasn't good at avoiding coconuts which is essential for not wasting time getting 1ups in the mini game. So congrats rcarter2 and madison for truly impressive feats.

Thanks, jerryaberry. I bet it's possible to get a time under 17 minutes with a truly perfect game. I accidentally picked up some of the coconuts too, and I'm pretty slow at getting through the shark mazes.

And for the maze levels, I played in non high score mode so I could practice those using save states until I knew every turn and where enemies would come. If anyone beats my time, I won't even bother to try to take it back because I am drained with this game in speed run mode.
