Education is truly essential. With it, the skills and knowledge of our predecessors are passed down to us in order to mold many youthful students into newly crafted, functioning members of society. However, not all of us share the same optimism regarding school; some of us might not care too much at all. There have been far too many cases of those who dropout, along with varying degrees of discipline. I seek to ask of your opinion on your opinion of education, as well as if it is functional or flawed.

What is your opinion of school?  Does it need to change or improve?  Thanks for listening. It's riveting.

Well... Uh... School itself is good enough, i had my exams today. But the people on my school were bullies and people who found theirselves better in anything at first. Now i became more used to them and they got used to me. First they called me names when i did something weird or was doing crazy things with my ADHD. Now, it's all going better. Would i stay at my current school? I'd say "Yes.". But only 62% of me says so. I had better schools, and one of my previous schools were so friendly, that i managed to get friended with everyone in the first middle school year. I even managed to get close to the principal of that school and it's sister-schools. (There were like 11 schools of those spread over the Netherlands)

But i noticed i'm going off my subject. Sorry.
I like school. A bit. Maybe it will be "I hate school forever" once i am on a different one. But that will disappear, just like all the others.

Ever since high school, I loved every school I have been in, the schools, experiences , classes, teaches, and everything were all amazing, so I'm fine with school and what it gives me, I just don't like home work. And waking up

I never graduated High school, I drop out around the beginning of the Tenth grade and for me.... it was the dumbest decision I ever did. I still regret to this day. Sure I'm doing ok right now, I have my own small cookies business where I bake fresh Mexican cookies, than I sell and distribute them all over Los Angeles and so far I been able to pay my bills and eat every night.. But to this day I still think It was dumb to drop out, who knows what I would of been capable of... perhaps go to college, earn a degree and a career but no.... I did not take advantage when I was a teenager.

When I was a kid I had no motivation at all, did not care about school when I was a teenager, had no plans for the future. I was very negative back than.... and It's all thanks to my older brother..... well that's a whole other story I don't wanna get off topic.  But anyways.... My advice to anyone that's a young kid  is to simply take advantage of your youth. Finish school.  Get a diploma and degree if you can, because once your older and you start paying bills of your own..... you start thinking that School wasn't that bad at all and sooner or later you'll start missing it. Remember it's only 12 year's of your life .... well unless you go to college..... but yeah, take advantage and enjoy those years. Don't be like some other idiot like me for example.

I'm going to put this as an ok for me. Because with this I had up and down experience's. Mostly at time I went to school of people who bullied me to no end. I would say I liked nursery, primary school. Secondary school was ok despite the fact I was mostly picked on. And collage was good. So I dunno how to explain if I like it or not. Its inbetween it. I like most parts of my journey through it while others I didn't. I hope this answers your question. If you still feel a little confused by my post just pm me and ask.

My opinion of school has changed a lot over the years. In the past I used to hate school. I used to hate the people there (most are meanies), waking up, everything. However this year things has changed. I made a lot of new friends, and I even became friends with some of my teachers!

This school year, 8th grade, taught me that I should stay away from idiots (Not replying is the best reply to them), because there are some people in life in which, no matter how many times you talk to them, they will never understand and keep on being stubborn. Some people from my school love me, so I should focus on them. Plus not everyone will like you in life, and that's a fact, since we're all different (the world would be boring if we all had the same mindset). School is important to all of us. Whether you hated it or not, you will always miss it at the end.

Except for 7th grade, I've always liked school. Most of my friends I have met in class at school, and it's hard to be able to hang out with friends outside of school due to them being busy. They're just going to get busier since some of them want to apply for summer jobs!

The classes themselves at school aren't so bad either, for the most part. I learn interesting things in just about every subject aside from math. Also, since I'm in a public high school, I'm able to choose most of my elective classes (any class that isn't a core subject)!

I don't think my school needs much improvement, but my classmates' behavior really does. Sometimes my classmates talk so loudly and so often that I can't concentrate on my tests, which really lowers my grade :/

Yes and no. I hate waking up early in the morning since I'm a night type person, and I despise any kind of homework but other than that I guess I don't find it so bad now that I have a bit more freedom over what subjects I take. Also keeps me actually being social in stead of mostly staying inside playing video games and watching anime all the time lol. I definitely prefer it to actually having to go to work each day. While I'm really happy about finally having summer vacation I usually end up getting restless not going to school though. So that's why I'm hoping to fill the summer with other things to spend time on since my attempts at getting a summer job haven't gone very well.

Like Zlinqx, yes and no. Let's make a bit of a "chart" here.

Pros:
-Time consuming (not boring)
-A couple of friends (not many)
-Frequent breaks

Cons:
Homework is a bit absurd around here
Teachers are kinda mean

I like learning, but I've hated school with a passion since first grade.

Mostly I've always felt that way too much time is wasted, that a lot of what is taught isn't worth learning (though that's more understandable in elementary-high school since the point is general education), that there's too much busy work (once again, wasted time), and that I didn't like most teachers. Time wasting and disliking teachers were my biggest issues with pre-college school. The one year that I was homeschooled was so much better because I could do more in less time and even study a couple things of my choice (programming, 3d graphic design).

College had less hated teachers because you can usually have some choice in the matter, but the time wasting was even more unforgivable since it now cost tons of money. I already had general education in high school, so I felt that all of the classes that were unrelated to my major were just a money-making scheme by the college to waste my time and keep me there longer. Thanks to all that time wasted on irrelevant classes, you (or at least I) become a jack of all trades, master of none. Not being adequately trained in your specific field of study, even after four years, is extremely frustrating.

What do you think I refer to it as a concentration camp so NO.

I mean they show so much favouritism it's actually ridiculous like there was a massive fight once and they send one person home and excluded them for the rest of the week (it happened on a Tuesday) and the other one who was equally as idiotic was allowed to be in the rest of the week I mean wheres the logic in that!
Only lesson that its not too bad in is History/Geography cos they actually treat us equally in there.

I personally thought it had it's ups and downs.

The high points of school were the social interaction. I loved spending time with my friends and meeting new people. I got along with pretty much everyone, so that was nice. Plus school is the probably the best opportunity you'll ever have to meet a special someone since there are so many options, and you're pretty much guaranteed to see them on a regular basis.

The downside was the actual classes. I didn't so much mind the work, it was just way too slow paced for me. Everything here has become so standardized I couldn't really learn at the pace I would've liked. In more classes than not, I would sleep most of the time, and still set the curve on the tests, or at least be one of the 3 highest grades on a bad day. From getting used to being so lazy and still being able to pass, it got to the point I stopped doing homework altogether, and half the time didn't even do the in-class assignments since I knew I could pass by the grades on tests and projects since the grade was weighted around them. This wasn't exactly a great habit for me to form, and has made life a lot harder since.

I like school except for the early mornings and no computer or xbox on school nights and seeing bullies. I do like most of the rest of it though like seeing my friends. I hang out with my best friend during summer break but get to see more of my other friends during school year. Maybe I won't like it so much when classes are harder I don't know.

I like interactions at school and learning about certain things. Like the only part i honestly do not like is having to wake up early. Test i can get over. I just really hate waking up super early and being tired all day long.

I love learning. Our time on this planet is so limited that we must make up the most of it.

That being said, I usually hate school. Its once-size-fits-all approach destroys brilliant minds and makes less brilliant minds feel completely left out. I was lucky enough to be part of a language program (accelerated learning of the regular English program, Spanish); otherwise I would have been bored out of my mind. The same thing applies to sports and arts; without this supplement many students would simply abandon school because they feel like they are not doing anything worthwhile

I generally like school now, I'm in collage and honestly it's alot better than high school. The main reason I like it better is you make your own schedule and you have alot more freedoms when it comes to studying and how you go about school on the regular and your not forced to stay on campus during lunch and periods where you don't have class.

I kind of like school. I actually learn during school. I always manage to make a new friend somewhere. The teachers are helpful. I tend to have a good time. Of course I also have down times too, but I manage to find ways to improve from them. Only things I don't like are waking up early and having to deal with jerks on a daily basis.
