Me growing up with Pokémon like I did, I immediately think of the Elixir item, which restores 10PP for one move. I guess that would sort of count as a health potion? Either way, that's the closest to what I think.

Okay When I saw the title of the thread, my initial thought was "a thread about Video Game potions?" so yeah it was a pretty easy answer for me when I saw the actual question.

I think of Health or Mana potions when I see Elixir, and though it can apply to either, I think mana potion is usually what it is. Or it seems that way to me.

   The first thing I thought when seeing this thread was that it seemed to be a thread that was supposed to be for a Pokémon game, and was just in the wrong place. As I grew up with Pokémon, elixir was always the Pokémon item, so some kind of healing item is always what I think when I hear that word being used.

I think of the Kingdom Hearts/Final Fantasy elixirs. They fully restore the HP and MP of a single character, or everyone if you have a Mega Elixir or that one Lunar Elixir or whatever it's called.

Elixer is usually a potion that fills both Health And Mana. I figure this is a pretty simple question for any veteran of RPG type games.

I've played clash of clans before and I don't believe anyone would cite that as their first reference to Elixer, unless they were fairly young gamers that haven't played a lot of classic RPG's before.

Potions, probably mana potions instead of health potions to be more specific, though I really think that's what almost everyone who's played a decent amount of RPGs think about when they hear it. It seems like it would be more likely to think about something else if you're not much of a gamer or at least not much of an RPG fan.
