I've made an update that now allows you to double post in threads you've created. Previously only Elite users and up could double post. This will be great for users who need to dump their own threads with updates or add additional content to whatever their writing about.

Interesting update.

I'm sure we'll be keeping an eye out for abuse, so there's no need to worry about that.

It should definitely help users wanting to host their own competitions and I definitely see some changes that could be made with how the Stories forum currently works (with people currently posting a new thread for each chapter).

I like this update. It means I don't have to have to have my NFL Pick Em thread so cluttered anymore with each post. It also doesn't give me an excuse to not have a blog that I have been thinking about doing for awhile now, and recently have a theme for it. 

At the same time, I don't like this idea. I see a lot of opprotunities for abuse with this. 

So, as much as I like this update for my own personal reasons, I respectfully think that this one was not a good idea. I think that is should be restricted to certain forums.

I love this update too. Of course there's going to be some abuse, but as kirbmanboggle said, that's why we have moderators. The moderators can revoke the Viz and CP for each post and/or edit the double post if needed. Now when people want to update their own threads and they had the last post in those threads, they can just post again instead of creating another thread. (Unless they already used the double-posting ability)

I am a newbie and unless I have totally overlooked this there is not a section for anything like this in the help area. The idea sounds nice as they are creators of a thread should have special abilities. But please someone inform me on this more. Thank you!
