Vizzed has become a pretty large part of my life  seeing I moved recently and have no one but my family. So out of curiosity how many of you mix the two or keep them completely separate. For  me I keep them pretty separate. For instance I don't just add my internet friend's to my Facebook. I have to be really comfortable with them to add them. Besides Boots I really don't talk about my Vizzed life to anyone.  I have a feeling that is going to change now that my boyfriend is from Vizzed.  So what about you all?

I mix both my internet life and real life together, which is furries/Yu-Gi-Oh! (internet life) and football/Yu-Gi-Oh!/Cycling/furries (real life), and I've not really cared to what people think about what I do with my life.
The way I see it: Whatever happens on the internet shouldn't affect your real life credibility, unless it's really heinous/illegal, and real life should affect internet life. I enjoy mixing both "lives" and the 'pick n mix' lifestyle I have :3

It's only recently, in the past few years, that I've been more open about myself, in terms of internet life in real life, and I've been happier knowing that nobody really cares.

The extent of my online life is here, making a few posts, playing a strategy game on another website, and some facebook stuff.  I know all the Facebook friends in real life and I don't make friends with online strangers.  I may chat and talk to you and we can have an amiable relationship but I don't consider people I don't know as friends.  End of story.

I am about 90% in the real world and 10% online.  I don't spend much time or energy on here and it is easy to keep both separate.  I don't fell the need to share one with the other and it's as easy as hitting that red X in the top right hand corner of the website to turn this off and go about my day.  I am baffled by the folks who live their entire lives online and take everything so seriously.  

This is all a game and you can turn it off at any second.  It doesn't mean anything.  The real world does.

I actually separate between personal and acquaintance. Take my use of facebook for example. I know people in person but they are far away physically, so I use facebook to keep track of them. I treat Vizzed differently that I don't treat people I talk on here personally like how I am with facebook. That's why when people say they want to friend me on facebook, my criteria is whether they are wanting to interact with me personally and that they would actually use their name when friending me on facebook instead of an alias. Outside of Vizzed, I don't really talk about the site. I might reveal some of my personal life in my Vizzed life, but I don't talk about my Vizzed life in my personal life.  I keep my personal life separate from my Vizzed life.

I generally keep them separate. The only think I really have connect with my real life is my Facebook. That one should be obvious though, seeing as how about... 50 to 60 percent of my "Friends" I am related to.

Usually completely separate really with the one exception being facebook as I mainly use it to keep in touch with relatives or real life friends (even though I barely go on facebook anymore).

I sometimes go on the Internet to take a break from the real world anyways so keeping the 2 together wouldn't exactly be ideal for me.

I mix the two quite a bit, actually.

Well, Vizzed, I have been on for quite a while and have met many people here. a lot of my friends have problems, and because of those problems they suffer. It makes me so sad to see my friends suffer, so I'm always trying to help them, usually that affects me in real life because of the feelings and stuff. It affects my mood in real life and how I see things. Now, Vizzed isn't all of my life. I have things to do in real life too, even if I spend most of my time on the site.

I don't really talk about Vizzed in the 'outside world'. The only one I've ever talked to about Vizzed is my sister, but that's only when she asks me about it. I don't really tell anyone other than her, because it just feels...awkward to talk about a site to other people who don't know what the site is or who the people are on there.

I feel as if I let them intermingle a lot. What I do on the Internet is part of real life. I do not pretend that it is just some faraway land where nothing exists. Of course there is plenty to do outside of the Internet, but I spend a significant portion of my time on the Internet daily, so it would be asinine to not mix the two. 

I think both real life and my internet life merged ever since I first went on Youtube back in 2006. Though I had a different account back then. BBC website this site and youtube I am on the most.

I try to keep them separate since the internet and real life are 2 completely different worlds to me. There are people who know me in real and others who only know me from the online world. The connection is all based on which world I know you from. Vizzed has created my gaming life much better than before as well as keeping me from getting bored during my free time.

I don't really have much of a real life so I guess. I don't talk to the people I see in real life about my life here on Vizzed. Nor would I think they'd care

For the most part, I keep them separate. I have tried to mix them a few times, and it hasn't worked out. And I am kind of glad that it hasn't. If you check my profile, you will see that I do have some real life friends added. But you will also see that they are all newbies and most of them haven't been on the site since they signed up. I don't really talk about Vizzed in real life. None of my family know about this place except for my brother. As far as Facebook goes, I add people from Vizzed. But I don't really use Facebook that much so it really doesn't matter. So for the most part I keep them separate.

I personally keep things completely separated its like a ground-rule because I don't actually know the people behind the avatars with whom I speak every now and then, its just safer that way.
What happens on the Internet stays on the Internet.

I keep it separate for the most part. But would tell a little bit about my real life but not all of it. I have my reasons for not putting both of them together.

I definitely keep them separate. None of my friends know anything about Vizzed, I've never told them about it. My friends aren't really into video games as much as I am, so I don't say anything. I tell people on here a lot about my real life, but not super personal things.

Leading the kind of life I do, the line is fairly blurred for me between internet life and real life in a lot of ways. Let me explain what I mean.

My work is online, my classes are online, and my entertainment is online. Literally everything important aside from family and religion is online for me, and as such, it's kind of difficult to not blur the line any. When you're spending that much time online (all day most of the time between lessons/study and work), online is where all of your friends tend to be. lol I found my best friends online, I found my profession online, I found my education online, and I found the only woman I ever loved online.


However, this does have it's limits. I do exercise myself in differentiating between real and entertainment. If someone flames me on here, it doesn't affect me, because I know Vizzed is for fun, not real life. If I lose something on Vizzed, it's okay because it isn't real life, it's entertainment.

Trolls don't bother me, haters can't get to me, and nothing on here can ruin my mood. Why? I learned a long time ago not to take anyone seriously when it was entertainment related. Much like when I'm playing online with someone who's being a jerk and trash talking me, you'll never see me throw a tantrum and slam my controller against the wall, because it's entertainment not real life. No drama, and don't take it seriously. Too many people can't grasp that concept.

However, my friendships, education, and work I take just as seriously and personally as if it were all in my physical world.

I keep them very separate. My friends only know about Vizzed that it's a site where I play games, I've only mentioned it once or twice and they don't even know that it's called Vizzed. My parents don't know a lot about my Vizzed life, all my mom thinks about is that I'm too much on here
I sometimes tell my brother and sister things about it though but that's the limit. The things I share on here are real life things but I still have some kind of limit like everybody else. Then again, most people on Vizzed are Americans and probably don't know a whole lot about the Netherlands or Dutch things. I have one Vizzed friend on facebook though (where I'm not so active, I have 5 people I believe XD).
