Yeah man. All the time. In fact, rare is the case that I'm without my beats while asleep.

Sometimes dude. Either by accident or it's just a once in a while kind of thing, you know?

Nah. I love music, but I don't care for it while trying to sleep.

Do you listen to music while sleeping? Maybe to get to sleep but forget to turn it off? Or you play relaxing music that helps you stay asleep all night long?

In any case, do explain.

I've done it before and it's a sometimes sort of deal. I've done it by accident when I fell asleep at the computer and my playlist was running.

I've also tried using those 2-3 hour 'relaxing music' tracks on youtube to increase the quality of my sleep when I can't get much. In the short term, it worked. One particular night felt like I had 5-6 hours of sleep when I only had 2. I'm not sure how that works but it's something to think about.

So what about you? Check out the poll and multi-vote is enabled.

I have never slept with music on because I guess I am a really light sleeper and even if very quiet music is on, there is no way that I can get to sleep.

I have sometime listen to music while I lay down and a couple of times, I have left it on while I was sleeping, and when I wake up, I realize I used up my whole battery life for my iPod.

Most of the time, it's music that won't make me fall asleep, so that's mostly the reason why I don't do that, but sometime it happens with me.

Very rarely do I listen to music while trying to go to sleep. The noise usually keeps me awake, and I cannot fall asleep with it on. Sometimes though, I am simply too tired, and my mind can still go blank. I also have to preserve battery life, and even if I have it charged, it can occasionally deplete faster than the battery can recharge. That is for my phone. I do not have to worry about that when I use my [boombox], but it can still be difficult to listen to music to go to sleep.

Side-note: Your polls are awesome.

I can't sleep without a radio and lamps on.
Why? I explain.
In my entire childhood ( that means even now ) my dad worked all night in the neighbour room.
He turned on a lot of lights and listened to radio so I had to get used to it.
Also I live near the train station which is very loud but I don't even notice it anymore.

BTW, the loudest sound here are the birds in the morning. You might think it is nice to listen to birds but in my town you hear like 20 birds chirp at once.

No, no, heck no. I would never be able to sleep if music was playing, I don't sleep well as is, that is the last thing I need. Have you have tried to sleep with GG Allin and the Murder Junkies or the Sex Pistols blaring in your ear? I bet it would be close to impossible.

I depends what I listen to. I have a playlist of tracks that help me get to sleep. Most albums have a chilled song in it, like One Too Many Mornings from Exit Planet Dust and Vietnam from Crystal Castles II.
All I can say is that I don't recommend listening to Aphex Twin, his music can control the sort of dream you have and it's not always pleasant.

I usually do, most of my music is soft, so I can sleep with ease. Lately, my earphones have broken because of this, so I'm easing down on it.

No. As much as I adore music I don't want it going all night.
However, when I was little I used to refuse to go to sleep without music because I was convinced that it kept the monsters away.
However, at the same time whenever I nap in the car, I always listen to music to tune out the other noise.

No, I don't listen to music while going to sleep. I use my clock radio to help wake me up (most days), but I don't use it before I go to sleep. Even if it was on low, it would probably keep me awake which is why I don't really bother using it before bed.

Yes, well sometimes when i'm not in my house like for example sleeping in a hotel or a friend's house mostly because it makes me feel at home (don't know why though) but i always put  my soft Rock music or classic Pop one or another Metal but it is not that hard.

Only sometimes, and it can't be anything fast or 500 beats per second, usually a slow piano song or a rain MP3 file that loops. I need it because I barely get any sleep as it is. Its not fun to twist and turn for an hour or two, lol

Sometimes when I have an hard time going to sleep I would listen to soft video game music. It would have to have nice soothing sounds. I rarely fall asleep on something that really fast pace and loud unless I'm dead tired.

It has happened like once or twice for me but it's an extremely rare thing. I usually prefer not to listen to music while trying to fall asleep and I wouldn't want the music to keep playing all night.
