Or hey even like Pokemon? For me i...don't even know why,Maybe its just ingrained into my childhood like Naruto or Trigun,And to be honest this is one of the few questions that i can't even completely answer myself,I can't exactly pin it down,But hey maybe if i know why some of you guys love Pokemon,I can finally get my answer,So lets all put aside our petty differences about what the coolest Pokemon is or what Pokemon is to OP for normal play,In this thread there are no good or bad answers,Lets just bask in the awesomeness that is...Japanese pocket monsters...you know that sounds really stupid when i say it out loud....huh...

relinquish022 : i love pokemon because it's a really fun game to play i mean a RPG where you can control monsters with special moves and abilities and the card games are also pretty fun to play

At the end of the day Pokémon is my childhood and its mostly why I love it

I like pokemon just because I enjoy training then, teaching them powerful moves, leveling them up and watching them evolve and grow. It is just a really fun game and I think that the growth of your pokemon and how strong it gets with each level is all a part of the awesome experience. I enjoy battling gyms and my rivals and just the whole fun of watching my pokemon grow and evolve. Pokemon has been a great part of my childhood and I have been playing it ever since I was little and I have to say that I have truly enjoyed it every step of the way. It is just fun and I enjoy all that each pokemon game has to offer because they all have their little quirks. 

Good question by the way, I do find it rather difficult to answer.

I love Pokémon because. It was my childhood I really enjoy playing it and always had. But I won't be playing the newer versions, as I am a old school person. ^-^

Came for the amazing designs, stayed for the customizability.

Because its a very unique rpg that has 6 characters you take in battle, some stronger than others and so much hours in gameplay, battling with a friend or traiding with him one of your monsters.... also because of ledian 

I love Pokemon because it takes me away from reality. Just like a good book does. When I play this game I put myself into the world of Pokemon. A world where if I screw up I get another try. Where I am never alone because I have a team of six amazing creatures by my side that love me unconditionally and put their trust in me. An where everything always turns out okay in the end. Nothing is better then coming up and getting on my DS to play and battle it out. I have to remind myself that its not real when the bad guys come up and I start yelling at the game. Or when I am loosing a battle but I pull through to the end. I have played the game since I was eight. I remember getting my game boy taken away at youth group at church because I just couldn't put the game down. And yelling at my Dad for saying Pokeman instead of Pokemon. So ever since I was introduced to the game I have absolutely loved it. What is there not to love about it? It is simple but challenging at the same time. One of the only games I could beat. Its so exciting seeing how the graphics just get better and better with every new land and the Pokemon just keep getting better too. I hope this game lives forever just like Doctor Who and I can let my kids play it when they are young. I will probably play it with them. So that is why I love Pokemon.

relinquish022 : I found pokemon emerald/ or green in my attic when I was 8 and I played it for 9 hours straight. The next day I showed my friends that I had pokemon (they would annoy me because I didn't have it) and me and my friends would meet up at the park near one of their houses and play. That was pretty much my childhood!

I love pokemon because I have been playing it ever since I was wee little and it is such and addicting game to play. Catching and training new pokemon never gets old for me and most likely never will.
 
 They also introduce new stuff each generation keeping it fresh.

I got into Pokémon in 1998 in second grade. Started out with the cards, TV show, and the games. I have ALL the 1st Gen games. Most of the games since the GBA era I have only played with emulators, I could never bring myself to pay the high prices for those games. All my 1st Gen games on Game boy I almost have all 152 Pokémon, mostly just need to trade Pokémon from red to blue. I love those games I can replay them over and over. My brother and I have thousands of 1st Gen Pokémon cards at my parents house. We kept very good car of them(doubly for the rare ones) and used them to dual for hours. A big part of why I joined this site is so that I can plan Pokémon games and I have seen plenty of interesting looking hacks I want to check out.
