  It's probably mostly because of nostalgia, but Super Mario World is my favorite. Donkey Kong Country is great too, but there's something that makes Mario World more fun. The power-ups, Yoshi, and feel of the game is great. I played the GBA port of it a ton. It was one of the first good games I played, and still one of the best.

The game I still play the most for SNES is FFII now known as FFIV.  It was the first RPG I played to completion and I'm always playing it on an emulator using the speed button programmed to my L2 trigger.  Most recently I beat the playable Golbez hack.

I am a huge fan of Super Mario World. It the last good Mario game in my opinion. Mario 64 was ok but I sucked at it so I just say I hate it so no one can witness my terrible skill. 
In Super Mario World, everything just seems to play how you would almost want it to. The level design is cleverly made so you can enjoy it and can set up for 1-ups and skillful jumps, a speed runner's heaven. Everything just feels perfect somehow, it was what the NES games and all other mario games didn't have. The NES games are great yet they lacked what Super Mario World had and I cant describe it.

After Super Mario World it would be A Link to the Past, that was amazing. Now I just have to get and beat A link between worlds.

Chrono Trigger.  It's the first SNES game I've played to completion (I don't think I've quite reached 100 percent, though).   It's also my fave.  The sheer number of combos you can string together, the great characters and gameplay, and the alternate endings make this a must-play.  It's the best RPG ever made, in my opinion.

Final Fantasy III takes the cake for me. Especially since it introduces the most vile, disgusting, and evil villain of Final Fantasy history...a clown who has no regards for life, loves to kill, and giggles at destruction. He may or may not be the strongest, but he certainly has no soul. 

I like the comparison between Dante's Divine Comedy in regards to the final boss fight too, how Kefka changes forms that each represent one part of the Divine Comedy: Inferno, Purgatoria, Paradiso, and finally Kefka himself, in the form of god, even though he most definitely will never come close to that.  

A fine story accompanies a game full of connections and mystery, and certainly a Final Fantasy favorite.

For me, it's a really tough choice on what my favorite SNES game is between Super Mario World and Super Mario All-Stars, well, until I heard about Super Mario All-Stars + Super Mario World, so that's easily turned out being my most favorite SNES game on the whole console.
