I like to dip my toast in soup.
Sprinkle a little cheese on top of the soup and use the toast to absorb the soup and scoop the cheese and other items like celery, meat, potatoes and such.
It is the best way I know how to enjoy bread.

Ahh... Nice thread, lol. Well, I sometimes put some strawberry jam on my toast. Also at times I would put butter. And my favorite thing that I normally like to put on my toast would be melted cheese! lol.

I like putting jelly on my toast. Any flavor is good. Raspberry is probably my favorite. I don't like butter or cream cheese or any of that stuff.

I like putting jelly on my toast as well, for breakfast that is what I usually do and it tastes really good. I don't really like plain toast, I have to have some sort of butter or jelly on it, and it tastes good with orange juice, eggs and sausage. So that is what i like to have on my toast, along with the rest of my breakfast. It tastes great and I think butter  and jelly on bread go together quite nicely. So that is what I typically put on my bread. 

I love these types of questions I don't know why but I simply enjoy them.

I like margarine and jam, or peanut butter and jam.

Well sometime I like to put butter on my toast most of the time, maybe even grape jam sometimes. I might even put peanut butter on my toast for the first time to see what it taste like.

Tough question to answer because of the fact that it always depends on what meal it is and what it is the side to. Sometimes if it is lunch time I will make a toasted peanut butter and jelly (grape) sandwich which surprisingly was good even though the first time I had it was actually a mistake because I did not want to toast the bread.

If I am eating pasta or something with meat sauce I like butter on it and having the toast golden brown. Then I like to eat the meat sauce with the bread and it is so delicious I do not even need a spoon!

If I am eating cereal and I have to use bread instead of an english muffin I just spread peanut butter on it since peanut butter and the sugary cereal with the milk tastes so good! Though in that case I would rather put peanut butter on the muffins and eat it with the cereal.

And if I am sick and I want toast instead of saltines with ginger ale I always have toast with grape jelly.

I haven't had it in probably ten years, but still... I want to say apple butter.  My mother hardly ever got it for us growing up.. in fact, I'm certain the number of times I had it is less than ten.  However.... I was always absolutely thrilled every time. I've actually been wanting to buy some and have it again... possibly increase that number of experiences past ten...   I really, really love it. I'm actually surprised nobody has mentioned it yet.

My favorite thing to put on my toast is and likely always will be peanut butter. It is so smooth and I think it actually softens the bread a little bit.

I don't toast my bread, but I put strawberry and blueberry jam, with peanut butter. Yum~

I usually put either peanut butter or jam on my toast. Sometimes I might put either butter or margarine on it too, but most times I don't.

I like to melt asiago cheese on my toast.  Of course, I don't get it very often, but when I do, it's pure awesomeness.

I have to say this thread is to blame:  I went and bought apple butter last night. Haven't had it for around ten or more years and... vizzed, you convinced me.  I haven't opened it yet, but I'm so excited have some!  Aggggggh, I can't wait!

I like plain peanut butter. I also like strawberry jam on it, so either peanut butter or strawberry jam.

There is only one correct answer to this question and that is: CHEESE!! A proper toast should be around 40% bread and %60 cheese!
Well that is only my opinion and you guys will probably think I'm crazy but that's fine. (?ω?)

Jam (or jelly as you call it) goes brilliant with toast. Even better with peanut butter. The combo fills your mouth (quite literally since peanut butter sticks to the roof of it) with great taste. I can have it almost every day for breakfast, that being when all of the worlds shreddies run out!!
As you may tell I like my good old, but not out of date old, shreddies.
