I never had to go to summer school , which is good because that mean your summer will be ruined if you have summer school and only thing you need to do to prevent yourself from going is to do your work . Did you ever had summer school ?

But yeah, I had to go twice. First time was at an actual school, second was online.

Both times were because of my English class, if I recall correctly. I never really did much of the work, which is why I ended up having to do it. Yes, I have done summer classes, but not because I failed a class. I go to an online school so the first time it was because I was a little behind in the program and needed to take a summer class to catch up. I will also be taking a summer class this year because I want to take an extra course in the regular school year.
