Here's some brief TdV info:

Each day there will be 4 Jerseys you can compete for:
Yellow Jersey: Most words in a day
Blue Jersey: Most posts in a day
Red Jersey: Most CP in a day
Green Jersey: Most CP actions in a day

If you get 1st place in a Jersey for a day, you get to "wear" that Jersey the following day. To "wear" it means that the background of your username will have a unique background graphic. Only the top 5 places of each Jersey gets points, 1st gets 5 and 5th gets 1. Whoever has the most points for any Jersey at the end of the competition gets to wear that Jersey for the entire next month. If you have more than 1 jersey, your jersey receives stripes for each jersey color you own.

Along with the Jerseys are Banners that change your username color. They basically represent who has the most points total:
Rainbow Banner: Whoever has the most points so far in the competition
White Banner: New member who has the most points so far in the competition (anyone who has signed up in the past 3 months)
Gray Banner: Veteran member who has the most points so far in the competition (anyone who signed up more than 7 years ago)

Tour de Vizzed Rules:

You'll be DQ'd if:
-More than 25% of your daily posts are made in one of the following forums: Crazy House, Vizzed Market, Polls and Questions, Video Game Craziness, Newbie Forum (unless posts are made in your own thread then it's 50%)
-You copy content from other websites or other posts
-You use the "tabbing" technique to make a bunch of posts in a short amount of time
-You're caught cheating or unfairly earning Contribution Points
-You're found to be reviewing games that you have not finished
-You post twice in a row on a thread
-Your posts are found to be below site standard to unfairly gain points or are completely off topic
-More than 25% of your daily posts are made in the same thread (your own thread and staff threads are an exception)
-If 50% or more of your daily words are posted in the final hour of the day
-Staff members are not allowed to feature their own reviews during the Tour de Vizzed

Reminder: Be sure to PM the RGR Staff if you want a game page added to the site that the site currently doesn't have.

Additionally:
If you get DQ'd just once from a Jersey, you can no longer get points for that Jersey for the rest of the month. We will be very strict from now on with the Tour de Vizzed. Only CP actions which you earned CP off of count toward the Green Jersey.

If you get DQ'd from too many Jerseys in too many TdV competitions, you'll be DQ'd from the TdV forever. Also, if you get DQ'd from a single Jersey in too many competitions, you'll be DQ'd from that specific Jersey forever.

Also, if 50% or more of your daily words are posted in the final hour of the day, you'll be DQ'd from the Yellow Jersey. Too many users have waited until the end of the day to submit a bunch of reviews to the site and that's unfair to users competing

Additional Tour de Vizzed Info:

Some CP actions only count as 1 per day. In other words, any action in the below list can only increase your Green Jersey points by 1:
Forum Navigation, Review Rated, User Referral Posted, Video Rated, Post Spell Checked, Visiting Vizzed, Screenshot Rated, Post, Game Commenting, Thread, Thread Reply, Chat Room Minute, Staff Forum Post, Staff Forum Thread and Screenshot Details Added.

These CP actions do not count toward the Green Jersey: Game Content.

Also the following types of threads have been restricted 1 post per day.
This Thread, ABC, Elimination, and Hangman style threads. Currently ask me anythings not restricted unless abused.

Each day there will be a specific CP action which will be worth doubled the points which benefits the Red Jersey competition. Below is a list of which actions are worth doubled on which days this month:

Let the games begin!

well I may not be competing this time due to time constraints but right now I have the motivation to start writing up some reviews, game guides and getting screenshots so I'll be good to go for Summer.

Day 1! I will be really competitive, and I will win Blue Jersey as much as I can without getting DQ'd. I will try to get Yellow and Blue Jersey depending on who will compete, if tornadocam competes, then I will just go for Blue Jersey. Or anyone else that only goes for CP and Word Count.

Here we go again, TdV time. First time it feels like it's been an eternity since the last one, maybe I'm getting old way faster than I'd admit.

I could have a bit more free time for this month, so if I don't spend it gaming (which could perfectly happen) I could get some work done on a couple projects during the month.

Other than that, I hope that my (ir)regular activity and my wordy nature will be enough to get a summon for this thread every now and then. I'm not even going to see if I have any main or side goals to achieve, at least I'll wait and see how I fare for the first days and how my work advances.

Good luck to all participants! They may take out the Christmas lights, but they won't take away the colorful spectrum we'll see in our usernames for the next two months.

The TdV is always the most exciting time and I look forward to all that happens over the month.

I should have a bit of time this month to get active on the site, however at the moment I'm recovering from the flu. It's been a good holiday season, hopefully this TdV can piggyback off of that.

Looks like Dauntez will be the one to beat, but hopefully there is a tight battle this time!

I probably won’t be too active in this TDV, but I do have a goal I want to complete sometime this year. Good luck to those competing.

This first day has been fun so far, it brings back memories of when I competed in 2013-2014. I don't know that I'll be able to compete and be active every day, but I would at least like to use this TDV to finally reach 8,000 total posts, anything more than that is just icing on the cake.

It's hard to believe that it's already time for the TdV again. I'll probably compete in it a bit and earn some points, but I'm not planning on battling others for jerseys.

Davideo7: not sure how, but it appears the last hour of day 1 didn’t get counted towards yesterday’s total and is instead showing up as day 2’s total…

Also no totals are showing up in the total standings at all.

I am not competing in this tour for a few reasons. First the weather can be tricky in January for my area. Remember I got a rare snow storm last year. However, my wife is taking 4 days off later in the month. It is not everyday we get 4 days off together due to her work schedule. It is also my 40th birthday so me and my wife have plans for my birthday weak hence her 4 days off.

That is why I'm not competing this tour. However, I plan on competing in July. Good luck to all who are competing this tour.

Yeah there’s a lot wrong right now. Dauntez should have rainbow, I should have green jersey and gray banner, and today’s current results are incorrect as part of the totals were supposed to be counted towards day 1.

In all seriousness though, that was a pretty good start to this TDV. I can't remember the last time I hit 25 posts and had my username italicized, but it's nice to know I can still do it when I put in the effort.

I also forgot the gray banner was a thing, but it looks pretty nice on its own. It's definitely overpowered by the yellow jersey though, or at least that's how it appears to me on my phone.

I got on today and I was shocked how many new posts their were to look at.. It has definitely been awhile and I will say part of it is probably my fault since I am more of a backend helper(someone please don't take this wrong way I just find niche fixes everyone else can mostly already do..) vs posting to post..

When I logged in on January 1st I was shocked to see so many active users after essentially a month of the forums being dead. You guys must have alarms set for January 1st and July 1st or something lol.

Today, is a good day to compete, people have already started, and there is way more then yesterday!

Also, I think something is glitched where it thinks the day ends at 11:00 PM, but shows the results as the day, but then the next day, it takes off everything that happened in the last hour, and adds it to the next day.
