as many of you probably know by now DAVID had to remove over 2,000 games because of a letter he received from NINTENDO,S lawyer  telling him to do so and although many of us (myself included) have different opinions about why NINTENDO would choose to do this it,s still nice to see that despite this big game removal there are still plenty of great games to play the ones that I like most are the older games such as ATARI and MAME I find that they take less time to load then the PLAYSTATION or any of the CD games and because my computer is a bit slow I choose to stick to the older games,while going through the MAME games I noticed that there appears to be a certain amount of them that are broken and I was just wondering if anyone would be able to fix them,if not then I understand since some of the games are probably not fixable. I have been coming to Viz now for over 3 years(it will be 4 years in JUNE) and although I have been to some other game websites in the past I find that Viz has the biggest and best selection of games and so this is one of the reasons I keep coming back, I also can,t think of any other website that has staff members that are always willing to help whenever a person has any problems.  KEEP UP THE EXCELLENT JOB GUYS! IT IS GREATLY APPRECIATED!                                                                        

Indeed it still is. Just because of the recent things that has happened with Nintendo. That's no reason to leave. vizzed stays vizzed no matter what. It may go through a lot of things but the site can fight back and get better. David won't give up so easily. So we should continue to do what is best and enjoy ourselves no matter what. And maybe take a chance to play a console game you never tried out before, instead of being sad about it. Plus I heard you still can play them but through another way. ^-^

This is pretty much the only website that I visit on a daily basis.  I probably spend more time posting and reading what other users have posted than playing games.  Sometimes that's easier since the little ones cause me to have to leave the computer frequently. 

On the play your own games section I'm having trouble with the piece where you copy a URL for a rom that you want to play.  Do you have to have the roms downloaded to your computer before you can play them?

You're right. It was a bit of a shock at first, but now that the dust has settled I think we can move on. I don't agree with Nintendo's move, but legally they have every right to do what they did (and as mentioned before could've taken it much higher up). Sometimes things have to fall apart so that something better can come out of it. 

Eniitan - I like your idea. You're right, there's many other games on vizzed, and now might be the time for anybody who's thought about trying out another console (I've played with the idea myself even though I'm unsure of it). 

Yeah is true for me vizzed is the best site to play retro games....I know many sites that are like vizzed bit no one can compare with vizzed....I have played and finished all nes games here on vizzed and now I have plan to finish all snes games here on vizzed.....I dont like RPG games but I like action,adventues etc etc. I like nes snes sega Mames,tg16,tgcd ,gba,gb and gbc....I have plan to finish all the games that are here exept rpg games.

Yeah this was bound to happen with Nintendo realizing they can make money off of their virtual consoles. You know, like selling Earthbound, Pokemon R/B/Y, amongst others again but virtually to be able to be played on the WiiU and 3DS respectively.

It's unfortunate, but I think that Vizzed will still be okay. I mean there will always be ways to play/emulate the games for free despite what Nintendo wants. I'm sure David will work things out the best he can. He always has.

There are tons of sites that had similar done to them over the past couple years. The CoolRom situation being the most memorable before this happened to Vizzed. We had a feeling it was coming at some point, we just didn't know when. Glad it lasted this long.

Also, Nintendo is NOT the first company that did this, as Atari and Activision I know requested some games to be removed from the site several years back.

Still though, there are THOUSANDS of games still available to play. Maybe this will force some people to branch out and actually play something ASIDE from Pokemon.

Also, I would like to point out, we have a GREAT private Minecraft server that's free and up and running. You guys should check that out as well!

Agreeing with Jordan, this has happened in the past because we had a whole lot more Atari 2600 games, but both Atari and Activision (a.k.a. greedy hogs that cares more about CoD than any of their other games) wanted to get games on Vizzed down. Plus it isn't the end of the world because you can't play 1st party Nintendo games on here anymore, just have to find a way to play them once again.

Also we aren't just famous for the RGR room, we got a Minecraft server and a great community, so I don't think anything bad will happen. If so and the site gets closed down, well, majority of the users on Vizzed will form a new community on a newer format, so basically, we can be down, but not out.

I only come on here for the community (forums) and I feel it's one of the most understanding and friendly communities I have ever come across since I started using forums.

The problem with the Nintendo thing isn't that it makes Vizzed a useless website. Most of us that use the forums don't come for the games anyway. The problem is that there are a lot of people that do come specifically for the games that were removed, and they will no longer visit the site. This will cause a big drop in revenue, and Vizzed was already struggling financially before this whole debacle. The big problem is not that the games are gone, the big problem is the loss of money due to the games being removed.

Agreed. Even without the Nintendo games Vizzed is still a great site to be at. It's not like there aren't thousands of other games to play as well as the forums to visit.

I'm annoyed that the Nintendo games are gone but there is nothing we can do but move on and make the best of it.

Sure, a lot of games are gone. But do you know how many thousands more games are here? A lot. And not only that, but you can also play the games that were removed with the new Your Games thing, if you want. Sure, it sucks but Nintendo didn't want them all gone, and they were fine with the site staying up. Legally, that is being really merciful to this site.

It sucked that this happened, but we all need to be glad that it didn't get worse.

The whole Nintendo thing was a blindside to everyone,especially David. Nintendo is showing their true colors and being the corporate scumbags they always were. But Vizzed offers so many games that Nintendo's action really does little to hurt Vizzed. Sure,a lot of people are Pokemon crazy, (I never understood the f--king appeal of it,I guess I am just old,lol.) but there are still tons of hidden gems on here. If anything,this gets players to explore Vizzed and see what is out there. This may have been a good thing in retrospect.

A lot of us also like to talk on here and share our joys,sorrows,concerns,questions,and just hang out on here. I know from my own experience that I participate in many threads,make a few of my own,and I enjoy reading what you think of my reviews. I am also pleased that I run into very few people that just act stupid. I see that this site has many mature and insightful users and we tend to enjoy each others' company. I like skimming the threads and inputting my opinion where I think it is wanted or helpful. So if anything,Nintendo's actions brought a lot of us closer and if you are leaving because the Pokemon games got yanked,then you are not a true gamer. A true gamer likes many types and will explore other games out there.
