As some of you know, Vizzed has been struggling financially over the past year after it took some huge traffic drops and now that January and February have come along (which are already the worst months financially out of the entire year), things are even worst financially. What's even worst on top of that is having to pay taxes this time of year and being self employed (since my income depends on the site's revenue) means that I have to pay in money to the government and it's usually a lot (I don't have the luxury of getting a nice tax return every year). I've been able to get site fees down a little over the past few months but they're still $1000+ a month.

If you have any money to spare, even if it's as little as $10, the donations would be hugely appreciated. If you can donate a big amount, that'd be fantastic but if you can only afford $10 then that's fine too since it adds up. If for example 100 users donated $10 each, that'd be $1000 right there which would help out greatly (and the majority of users most likely can afford $10, that's like the price of what some people spend on junk food in a week). My job is this site which allows me to work on this site full time (sometimes as much as 60-80 hours a week) so I don't really have any other source if income besides selling my possessions.


Earn Up to 1 Million Viz for Donating!
From now until the end of the month, users will earn double the Viz from donating! So here's how much you'll now earn from donations:
$10 = 20,000 Viz
$25 = 60,000 Viz
$50 = 150,000 Viz
$100 = 350,000 Viz
$250 = 1,000,000 Viz

Why donate besides helping the site out financially?
Well donating grants you lots of Viz and lots of Viz can get you access to lots of nice items in the Item Shop. For 10,000 Viz you can get the Beta Test Ticket which grants you access to games, systems and features before they go public. For 25,000 Viz you can get access to the V-Machine item which allows you to play all games without paying extra Viz for them. For 50,000 Viz you can get the PlayStation item which gives you access to play 2500+ PlayStation games on Vizzed. There are lots of other things you can spend Viz on and I've got lots of additional items that will be added to the item shop in the upcoming weeks. Don't have PayPal?
If you don't have PayPal but still want to donate, you can donate in any other way that you can (and you can even donate your unused games as seen here). I'll still add you to the donations list and you'll also still get the CP and Viz from doing so. Keep in mind that PayPal allows people with Credit Cards but no PayPal account to donate. There are lots of ways to help out the site even if you don't have money. I really hate how how I currently don't have any way to get money added to my paypal, because I have plenty of money I want to donate to help you out, but I currently can't get out of the house. I'll have a chance to get some money tomorrow so hopefully. The only money I currently have is a ton of amazon money and iTunes...

And it sucks that Vizzed has been down in donations so much recently, I haven't seen anything over $1000 in like 8 months. I hope things really do get better.

Barathemos : Yeah the donations took a huge drop over the past 6 or so months. It's also one of the reason we don't get RGR Plugin updates any more, just can't afford it. Heck, for these next few months I wont really be able to afford anything unless donations pick up a little.

I suppose Amazon money could work if you were wanting to work something out with that. If not, no big deal.

I don't have a credit card and I only have 1.61 USD in my Paypal...do you want that? I mean I can see that I'll get nothing out of it, but that much money is worth about a music album maybe, so I can just hand it over.

I do want to ask what would happen to the site if its financial situation does not turn to the better. Will Vizzed go dark? Or will you just be forced to shift your work and focus to a job, but Vizzed would remain up?

Scohui : You can hold on to the money. Maybe save it until you've accumulated $5 (I plan to add $5 donations eventually).

If the Vizzed financial situation doesn't get better then I'd have to get a full time job somewhere which would result into me putting very few hours into the site (probably 10-20 a week compared to 40-60). And if it got too bad, I'd probably have to pull some of the games from the Retro Game Room including CD systems since those take up the most space and bandwidth but I don't think it'll get to that point.

Davideo7 : I don't think I'll accumulate more money any time soon, but ok.

And that's reassuring, I guess. At least the site won't just disappear.

Davideo7 : If you were to have to get a full time job, would there be any minor things that you do that you could maybe rely on the staff for to put less stress on you? 

Hopefully it doesn't get to that point, but if it does I hope Vizzed can continue to run well. 


And I think $5 donations would be great, it would allow users to be able to donate just less than an hour of minimum wage work, which could work out well. 

Scohui : I didn't mean any time soon. Maybe like a year from now or something.

Barathemos : I'm not sure, I think the staff already do a lot to help reduce my work load. If I was only able to invest 10-20 hours into the site a week, probably only 5-10 of those hours would be used for development since a lot of my time gets invested into other site related things such as responding to users via PM, responding to posts, hosting competitions and tournaments, posting in general, responding to emails, responding to users who chat with me on Skype/Steam/Cometchat/etc. I really hope it doesn't come down to that but I've never been known to give up so I'm going to try and do whatever I can to get the traffic back up.

Honestly if I had a way of donating I would but not able to use paypal, I think I'll try donating a little bit monthly a few years from now assuming I have the money to spare. Until then I'll just try doing my best as a local moderator to help the site.

Davideo7 : I'm terribly sorry man, but since this is a US website, I am unable to donate as I hardly have much money or least a job to get some, along with this donation being in dollars not pounds so I hope you understand, btw Davideo7 I was there when you were doing the smash bros steam but however I don't have a twitch account so I couldn't respond man, so if by chance next time you do play it again would you consider using youtube? or maybe notify me here when it comes thanks man.

Davideo7 : It's sad to see traffic and revenue overall dropping. I know how rough tax time must be this time of year for you and I also know how much work you put into the site. At the very least you should be able to keep the site running and have a few bucks left over to help compensate for the HUGE amount of time spent doing great work for this site.

I'll do what I can donating this month (as my tax time is rough as well usually)

I would also like to point out to people that are having a hard time getting money on their paypal accounts You can purchase a PRE-PAID Credit card and use that to make a donation to Vizzed. These pre-paid cards usually only have a minimal cost and lots of times you are able to re-load them. They are available online as well as most big-box stores or grocery stores, so please keep that in mind if you have a bunch of spare cash burning a hole in your pockets.

I would also BEG you all to stop using adblocker browser plugins when on Vizzed. I understand why you use them, but know that it REALLY hurts our ad revenue when you use these. Keep in mind that the only reason we have ads is so this site can keep running and you can keep enjoying it.

I'm so sorry, David! I want to help out but I can't seem to get my parents to donate even a dollar! I would give you the money that I've earned on my YouTube channel, but I don't know how to claim it. Also, I only have two cents...I'm very sorry.

My donation opportunities are too lacking in chances. Although from my experience
in minecrafting for so long now. Maybe included with donating you can give the
donators neat perks in the minecraft server? That may prove to be a community divider
in some aspect but a lot of mc servers manage to run due to this donate in exchange for
things perk.

Davideo7 : I would donate since get checks from temp job every week (thrusday's) but...my family doesn't trust paypal since are afraid would mess up my bank account, and I don't want anything like that to happen since am so afraid of whom I give my info out to specially with all the hackings and stuff you see lately. If it was something like youtube donation or patreon then would be ok. Sorry and would love to help out after so many years, but as of right now just isn't much of a way for me to do so.

~Note~ I don't use adblock on vizzed since that messes with my games anyway and doesn't allow them to be played. Plus I only use adblock on sites I'm not really going to use much or videos I'm not really into. Since if do enjoy something as such, I won't put adblock on since can usually skip ads or don't last long time and it helps others out in end so 2 for 1 deal to me.

It's so sad that, even if we're low on donations, we don't have a great level of activity to try to balance it out.

I'm unable right now to donate, but I'm not someone to use adblock and I fully plan on keeping my levels of activity to contribute as much as I can with content. Also, whenever I can play a game in the RGR, I'll use the 0 Viz link. Every little help adds up, as you said.

I fully intend to donate once I am employed again. Can't really justify it until that point.

I'm incredibly poor, but I was able to donate $10. I love this site and I really hope it keeps going.

I've been here for years and still haven't donated.  I've at times been selfish with the little money I have gotten.  Once I am able to afford to donate again, I will.

As you're aware, I've donated $100 so far in the past 2.5 weeks and plan to continue to donate $50 every other week for the foreseeable future. I might be able to swing a bit more than that sometimes, but not consistently.
