So the title says it all....do you prefer to eat hot food or cold food? There are people I am sure like to eat cold food in the winter while hot in the summer. We people can be strange at times of how we eat in a way. Personally for me I prefer to eat hot food mostly because I can't always eat cold food for reasons. I can only eat cold food in the summer where it would be warm and won't lower my temperature. I do like to eat cold food really. But its my health that says it all on what food I can eat and when I can eat it. So how about you?

It really depends on the season and depends on the food. Like during the winter, I mostly eat hot foods and during the summer, I mostly eat cold foods. Plus, it's not just the seasons, there is foods you can only eat cold or only eat hot. Although on occasions, I don't care about what time of the year it is, I'll eat food either if it's hot or cold.

I mainly prefer hot food, there's probably only a few kinds of cold foods that I would eat.

Generally hot food, with a few exceptions.  I have a thing for frozen delicacies.  I really like ice cream that just melts on the tongue, so I don't eat it too fast.  Stuff like Dulce de Leche or Pumpkin Pie.  I really like certain kinds of sushi, too.  Often I'll eat certain things cold instead of hot because I'm hungry and don't want to make a mess, even though I prefer eating it hot.

It depends I mostly like hot food in the winter and cold food in the summer but it mainly depends on what food it is like I like my subs hot and waffles frozen

I mean there aren't that many "cold" foods that I eat on a regular basis as most cold foods are a "treat" rather than something I eat on a regular basis. Aside from something like Salads.

I guess if I had to choose, I would much prefer "hot" foods than cold ones overall.

It all depends on what kind of food we're talking about. If it's a stuffed food then I very much prefer it cold- something about hot "innards" makes me cringe (repressed memories?). I also like my meat somewhat cold but of course not freezing.

However, if it's a breakfast food I like that hot. Really gets you up in the morning.

I would have to say that I also prefer hot foods.  Cold foods tend to leave me feeling un satiated.  However I will say that when properly mixed cold and hot food together can be the best.  For my money I love a hot brownie sundae with a scoop of cold vanilla ice cream.

By cold, do we mean cold, or room temperature? Most cold food is nasty unless we're talking about deserts. I love hot food, but room temp works for me too. Especially because we don't have very good air conditioning and it's usually very hot here in the summer time.

I definitely prefer hot food! If I think about some of my favorite dishes, such as pizza or parmigiana, I find them very good even when they are cold but if they are hot they are much more enjoyable. And then pasta... a too low temperature can turn it in something almost inedible

Regards to the season, where I am living right now you can still enjoy a good warm soup in summer, sooooo... there is no difference at all to me

I've never been a fan of cold food most of the time. I'd prefer a hot meal to a cold one.

However, there are obvious things that are usually cold that I do enjoy. Sandwiches, dessert... things like that.

Hot meals are the way to go though.

I used to love cold foods and meals, but after awhile they seemed to start hurting my teeth if too cold (i.e. ice pops). When I say that I don't mean after awhile of eating said food, but after awhile as in me growing up.

So now I like them equally as much and it's just dependent on the food.

One thing I love to do is bake up some chocolate chip cookies, place them in the fridge, and then come back for them later. It's simply amazing, I get really excited as I image the taste of the cookies while I wait for them to cool. 

Hot food. I love meatless sushi which is of course served cold, but generally speaking I find when I need to eat and I'm not too hungry it's a lot easier to eat hot foods. It's more comforting.

I love hot food the most... I like cold food like ice cream for instance year around... but summer winter doesn't matter I like hot food the most.

It doesn't matter much to me really. With almost any food I'll eat it hot (and by hot I mean warm. I hate food actually being hot) when it's made, but when I eat the leftovers from it I like it cold usually.

Now a lot of my favorite foods are cold as well, such as salad, wraps, and sandwiches. I basically eat warm food just because it's warm after it's first made. If anything I favor cold. I'm weird though. I also prefer microwaved food over food cooked on the stove or in the oven.

IgorBird122 : That's a good thing to know I mean some people do eat cold food like cold milk or salad pasta of the sort in winter and they like it as long as they are happy about it. That's all that matters.

Y4123 : I would do the same thing you do actually I do in a way lol. So then when its summer your able to eat the cold you that you want. Such as salads, pasta salad cold milk with cereal and icecream as well.

Eirinn : Oh. No. That's not weird at all I mean not everyone has to be the same. A lot of people have their on preferences of what they enjoy eating hot or cold.

Eniitan : I generally don't discriminate between seasons.  I like my hot food even on hot days, and my cold food on cold days, as well.  Now if it's extremely cold or extremely hot, I may make a choice based on that, but not in general.

Like a couple of the other users who've responded to this thread Enii, I would prefer to eat cold food in the summer and hot food in the winter. I don't really have a preference on which one...it just depends on the time of year

I prefer hot food year round, really. I mean, this obviously depends on my mood and there are times I don't want something hot... but there's just... a certain comfort around hot food.  Then again, I'm always cold. Even in the summer, I often keep a heater at my feet and use it to keep warm.  Usually, my classrooms are torture for me because I can't control the thermostat and feel like I'm standing in an icebox all day.

Funnily enough though, I don't typically feel the need to re-heat food. It drives my husband nuts. Whereas he'd rather put leftover pizza on a plate and nuke it... I'd rather just grab it and eat it as is.

I prefer hot food over cold food. Hot food has always been very yummy for me, and I eat it almost every time. Never been a fan of cold food, anyway.
