So, basically, I love the sight of many notifications at once. It gets me excited, and sometimes they're replies, so I don't have to search for threads to post for the day. Summons also appeal to me, and thread replies are always welcoming. 

Bottom line, I'd like the sight of 20 Notifications. 

Now, I was wondering whether anyone would prefer the opposite. Can't see why someone wouldn't want to have that many, but t'was just curious.

While I don't dislike the sight of many notifications, I normally have them at a low number. This is because I want to know what those notifications mean. I've sometimes found myself surfing through the board trying to find a summon and be unsuccessful on my odyssey.

I don't really dislike them it really depends how many notification's I get sometimes it is large sometimes its not. So its like 50/50. I never had a thing not to like it but to have it gain my attention to seen what I get as I am either summoned for something or someone has liked my post or thread. I can't remember the most I have had, but it would have been up to 30-40 for when I left vizzed for sometime to sort out things in real life.

I love the notification system. It's so nice to get told when someone has replied to my threads or responded directly to me rather than having to remember places I've posted to see if anyone is responding to me. Really hard to do on a forum this size.

Also, I love when I log in and see 10+ notifications because it means I've got lots of stuff to read and respond to.

I love when I get on and there's a few notifications waiting for me because it means that I have something to do eight away. If I have none or just one or two, I would only be on for a few minutes and then I would need to go and look for things to do. Love those times when you have like 5 or more notifications but the way it is now, I only get like 5 or so per day. There was a time when I would wake up to a dozen or more and that would give me like half an hour to an hour worth of stuff to do right away.

I try to write and reply to as many posts as I can, but there's a lot of stuff on here that I know nothing about! That's why even when I find something I do know and reply to it, it may be the only one that day!I see a lot of "famous" people on here, that reply to a lot of posts, and I see them everywhere! And their replies to posts are so interesting! How do they do that? 

That's why, when I get on vizzed the first time in one day and see 2 notifications I get really exited. (1 is the reward for coming to vizzed). It's usually a reply, but most of the times I only get the one notification.

I really like the notification system. If someone needs to tell me something in a post then it is very useful to get a notification of it. You can do what the user ask you in the summon post right away. I usually don't get many notifications but I do like getting much. It makes me feel important, lol.

As far as the actual system goes, I think it's good, though I'd be more surprised if there wasn't one since it seems pretty much standard to have some sort of notification system for sites like this, and if there wasn't one it would be incredibly inconvenient. I like getting a lot of notifications, means there's usually a lot of posts to reply to or someone liked one of my posts which is fun when I'm not doing anything in particular and I'm just idling not doing anything on the site.

I do like the notification feature, it does keep an eye out on things I have posted and any summons I happened to get, without this, I would be hard to keep up.

The more the better in my opinion. I like interaction and I love reading threats and game reviews so, when someone comments on something I posted I feel good and want to keep the interaction going. It's also great to talk to as many active users here as possible. I feel everyone has something to teach or share.

In my opinion, I really don't mind notifications one way or the other. I generally don't get very many at once, and that doesn't bother me at all. I think the most I've ever received at once is probably around 15...give or take a couple. But I do like the fact that the Notifications tab is there. Same way with the Private Messages tab...sometimes I like to see if I have received something or not.
