The Minecraft Competitions are now going to be seasonal competitions. You'll now have up to 3 months to create your submissions. The competitions will also have a higher Viz and Cash payout!

Since this competition is introducing the whole "season competition" thing and the new Creative world, the payout will be the largest every for a Minecraft competition that I've hosted. This competition will also 1 1/2 months longer then all future competitions (for a total length of 4 1/2 months).

In this competition you must create the best structure on the Vizzed Minecraft Server. The structure can be of anything you want it to be. You can present your submission in the form of a video or screenshots. If you do a video then you must upload it to the Vizzed YouTube Account. If you do screenshots then you must upload them to Vizzed and then post them to this thread.

The structure should be created in the new Creative world. You'll have flight and unlimited blocks when you're in the creative world so there are almost no limitations on what you can create! More info here:

You can also rent an admin in order to have access to World Edit features which will allow you to have basic structures created in a matter of minutes and also have stuff copy/pasted, moved, etc. More info here:

Staff will vote on the submissions after the competition is done. They'll vote based on structure uniqueness, difficulty, and the presentation of the video or screenshots.



Instructions for taking a video and submitting it to the Vizzed YouTube Channel:
You can use Camtasia (probably the best and has a free trial available), Camstudio (free), Xsplit or any other program to record with. You may also edit the video however you want (example, adding music, subtitles, etc), just make sure it is less than 5 minutes long.

Once you've recorded the video, you'll want to upload it to the Vizzed YouTube page and add it to the game's page in the Video Game Room. You can do this by going to the game's page (link found below) and then scroll half way down the page to the 'Minecraft User Submitted videos' section and click the 'Click to Upload your Video to Vizzed Youtube' link. Once the video has been uploaded, be sure to place a link to it to this thread, otherwise your submission will not count.



Rules:
-Up to 5 submissions per a user (this also includes structures you've teamed up on)
-Minecraft Staff may compete and I will be competing
-Please separate your submissions with 1 submission per a post
-You may work with others on a submission (you'll then split the earnings)
-No command blocks
-You may use some of your old structures with your new structure as long as your old structures make up less than 25% of your new submission
-The structure has to exist in the new Creative world to count
-When showing off your submission, you cannot use any resource packs unless you created the resource pack (and if you do create your own, be sure to place a link to download it with your post)

1st = 500,000 Viz or $250
2nd = 150,000 Viz or $100
3rd = 75,000 Viz or $50
4th = 50,000 Viz or $25
5th = 25,000 Viz or $10

Davideo7 : Just a quick question, my computer is not powerful enough to run bot minecraft and a  video capture program at the same time, would a cell phone or camera video be ok?

pikachu369 : You could but the quality would be bad and the staff may give it a poor rating because of that. You could just have someone record it for you.

This should be an interesting competition.

If real life doesn't interfere, I may take part.

I'm really stoked about this. I feel like 4.5 months is enough time to create something amazing, and I have huge plans already.

mrfe : That's exactly what I was thinking. 4 1/2 months is enough time to create some epic structures, I'm really excited to see what gets built. I have a few ideas for things that I'll be creating for this but I'm not sure if I should invest all my time into a single structure or try to increase my chances with multiple structures.

Heh, I'm a little disappointed I can't use my castle as a submission, especially since swhen I became an OP after its initial; construction, I added something in that had command blocks in. However I have an idea that I may work on. Maybe. Two actually.

I wish I had Minecraft, I would so compete in this if I had it.

Barathemos : We can, as can all other 4 OP's, because literally everyone now has access to worldedit via renting admins.

Darkpower508 : Structures created before this can only make up 25% of your submission so it wouldn't have been eligible anyway. Plus, the structure has to be in the Creative world.

Barathemos : Like mrfe said, everyone has access to World Edit now, whether it be directly or indirectly. Everyone is allowed to compete, even me.

mrfe : well you still have it 24/7 and we only get 1 hour a day if you are available.

Barathemos : Realistically though, when we use World Edit, we only have to use it a few times for a structure. The average structure we probably only have to use it less than 15 minutes total.

World Edit doesn't do as much as what you might think. It can only create very basic structures, such as a box or a wall and other things like moving or copying. You can't tell it to go create a sprite for you or a house.
