Yes. I have been here 5 years. I would have made this thing yesterday but I was too busy watching the Arizona Wildcats beat the Buckeyes and then the Utes slam the Georgetown Hoyas on an extra wide screen TV with a 240 refresh rate. I love my life.

Milestones are a pretty important thing here if the sheer amount of threads about reaching them is any indication. My relationship with Vizzed has lasted longer than my full-time employment. My job did occur over the course of 5 years yet I couldn't get full-time work towards the end. I have worked part-time since my termination.

I couldn't think of a better excuse this week to go to Milestones restaurant to celebrate. 5 years is a long time. Much has changed on Vizzed since then.

Outages used to be a regular thing. They aren't anymore. That recent one was ironic because I was just telling someone that I hadn't experienced one in a good long while and it happened the next day or something. The Tour de Vizzed event takes place quarterly now. Before this brainchild was brought into being, posting activity didn't have such a high sustained spike on any month of the year. I think there are those who want to post all the time but to get the most out of them, the Tour de Vizzed motivates posting activity to even greater heights now.

Davideo7 started offering cash prizes for some monthly competitions. We began seeing enormous generosity from many users donating to Vizzed. Davideo7's April Fool's Day jokes repeated themselves a few times but strangely not one of them got old; it is just once a year and you can't mess with the classics.

The Retro Game Room hosts many more games now. It was no slouch when I joined. The RGR plugin is more advanced now than it has ever been thanks to tom760 for (pardon this) 'plugging' away at it. It wasn't too bad to begin with and now it is even better.

A strange but interesting creature called Leggy started appearing all over the place a few years back. Many recent confirmed sightings at the Vizzed Market and Innocent Town.

I've written game reviews in time's past, taken many screenshots and recorded many gameplay videos. I have sampled the delights of many Pokémon games in the RGR. I enjoy a good play-through.

I don't know what is next for Vizzed but I can wait to find out.

Wow, this is an amazing milestone thread! I've never seen a milestone thread until this one where the thread creator mentions what has changed on vizzed in their time here!

Congrats on 5 years, which makes you a vizzed veteran! Judging by what you mentioned in this thread and what I've seen you do in the past, you've done a great variety of activities on this site. I hope you can stay here for more years and more fun!

Try five. I'll have been here for five years in September, I myself am almost a veteran.

A few years ago, Innocent Town came to be, though, so it's not totally wrong.

I think its great that some people can last being a member of this wonderful site for at least 5 years. I'm coming up on 4 years in the next couple of months myself, and I can't wait to get to 5 years like you have! I plan on sticking around here for many more years to come, and I hope you will too

By the way, its nice to know someone that has been here for that long a period of time, but doesn't have that many posts. I say that because I always feel bad about people who have more posts than me, but I've been a member longer. I don't know why...

Wow nice! This is a amazing milestone, Congratulations ! Still a little over another year before I become a veteran . It's great that you remember all the memories from the past on vizzed. I hope you get to stick around for a long time and I get to see your 10 year milestone ! 

legacyme3 :   Yes. Yes, but you didn't start posting in earnest until early 2011 according to your record. I was speaking on my perspective of your activity. Sure I noticed your username on the board page in my first year but there were a lot of names there - like alexanyways, tRIUNE, JigSaw, vizwiz123, septembern, Juliet, tj4bigred, Annette to name a few - and everybody seemed cool to me and I didn't know who was going to stick around. The nickname Leggy came into my consciousness later than that even. I didn't even start cruising the forum regularly until after I started writing reviews. Capisce?

Oh yeah. I forgot to mention that most of my first year I just came to play Pokémon Silver only. It's always been a good game. I had searched for it to see if could play it online and that's how I found Vizzed. I had seen a neighbor playing Pokémon Blue on his computer back in the 90s and I wondered if I might not even need a Game Boy of any kind to play Pokémon. Years later my cousin had a Pokémon Silver so I was very curious about the game. I think I might have written one of my earliest reviews on it.

Thank you all. I didn't realize I had so many buddies here. You guys may not know this but I consider myself a bit of a loner. I think of myself as a one-man wolf pack. So there I was alone in the pack and you guys came along and I said, "Could it be?" And now I know, I added several more members to my wolf pack! Ha!

Not to correct you, but I had about 2104 posts between 9-14-10 (signup date) and 12-31-10 (about 108 days). So I averaged roughly 19.5 posts per day in late 2010, when I registered.

You may have just been inactive at the time, because in those days even, I was one of the top 5 most active members haha.

So I guess I was pretty slow to catch on to the legacyme3 phenomenon, after all. As I stated, most of my early days were spent playing Pokémon Silver and little else. As a fan of Pokémon games yourself, you know well how one can get wrapped up in them.
