I would've posted this more in advance, but yesterday, I was competing in the TdV and I knew it wouldn't be right to post it then.

As quite a few people have seen in the Christian Conservatives forum, I'm getting baptized tonight!!! That means starting tonight, I'm going to put God first in my life, and I won't have near as much time for Vizzed as I have lately.

I'll be reading and studying the Bible, which as you probably knew already, is very long. Reading it takes long enough, but I'll study it as well, so it might take at least a year for me to be finished with that, especially since I'm giving my all in school and I'm going to get much busier.

I'll make sure to stop by once in a while, but I might only be able to be online for an hour a day at the most. I'll try to respond to notifications, but I should only go through the more important notifications unless I have time for more, so I might not answer some of them for a few days.

I'm going to miss this site a lot, but don't worry, I'll easily get through it with God being in my life.

I have to go offline at around 3:00 P.M, so I might not be able to reply to most of your posts in this thread, but when I have the chance I'll private message you my responses (it's TdV month so this thread will be closed quickly I'm sure).

PacmanandMariofan :   I'm gonna miss you, bro! You're a very great user, and it would be a shame if you leave this site permanently. As long you haven't left the grassy field on the land of V, be sure to tell us how the baptism was, and try to understand the Bible as well ! Good luck with your future, goals, and God bless you! Vizzed can be distraction, so be sure to focus on the more important things.

An hour a day is still a long time and is enough to get plenty of stuff done, and even if you can still visit every day but only for a few minutes, that's nowhere near the same as leaving. It does look like you are going to have a lot on your plate in the near future though so I hope that everything works out with you in the long run and that you always keep us up to date with what's going on in your life.

Well, since it is a temporally leave, it isn't against the law to post so we all are alright with that. I sure hope that you new find in life get you somewhere in life that you have never reached before, and sure, your time will be limited after you get back on, but hey, it will be worth it for you. I hope you have fun.

I really admire your desire to put God first, and the steps you're taking to ensure God stays first. Be sure to let me know how it's going from time to time!

I have enough time today to be on and reply to this thread. Eventually I'll post the story of the night of my baptism. It'll take a while to write so I won't post it for at least another day and I'll summon everyone who replies to this thread so they can see it.

zanderlex : It looks like most days I'll only have a few seconds of good time to be here based on my best schedule XD I never said I was planning on leaving, just a long hiatus. I'll almost definitely have a few hours of good time to visit on days where I have a lot of free time. Everything is working out so far, and I've determined my best schedule so everything will continue to work out. I'll definitely give an update here and there.

IgorBird122 : Yeah, thank goodness temporary hiatus threads are allowed. I thought it would be closed faster though since it's TdV season. I'm having a lot of fun so far!

The night of my baptism was phenomenal!!! First, I arrived at the church 2 hours early to receive my clothes I would need to wear when I get baptized. Also, I was there early so I could attend a baptism class so I would know exactly how things would go, and whether I should be baptized or not.

After that, all of the people who came specifically for my baptism arrived. My Grandma and her friend, my other grandma, dad, sister, brother, uncle, other uncle, aunt, and my best friend!!! All of them are awesome Christians!

I talked to all of them (especially my friend because that's what teenagers usually prefer to do ). After that, I had to go sit in the back of the sanctuary with all the other people getting baptized. The band played a few Christian rock songs, I clapped along, and then there was a short message about what we should do as a church.

The message ended, and then the band played a lot more songs as everyone got baptized. When a person got baptized that night, they had to face the stage and they were on 2 big screens (one on each side of the stage). Someone from my school got baptized and he talked to me beforehand. I was excited to see him give his life to Christ especially since I knew him, and I'm sure he was the same about me.

I clapped for everyone who got baptized, and when it was my turn, I put my arms in the air and shouted in excitement after I was pulled out of the water. After I got cleaned up and changed my clothes, I finally had a chance to sit with my family and friend supporting me. Everyone wanted to hug me. My friend gave me a surprise hug, and I later gave her something for that. All my family members gave me a hug too, except my mom because I gave her a surprise hug.

I was smiling like crazy almost the entire time (over an hour), and it didn't even hurt!

After a few more songs (which I clapped to and one of them I even sang to!), we all left. Some of my family members went home, but the others went to my Grandma's house for a surprise party for me! On the way there, I acted all suspicious about the gift bag sitting in front of my friend, and then I said, "OK, open it!" It was a month-late Christmas candy bag XD

At my Grandma's house, we had cookies, brownies, and milk. I got some surprise gifts (a devotional book, a keychain that says the date of my baptism and that I started a new life that day, and cupcakes and brownies to take home ). I thanked everyone so much for attending my baptism and/or giving me gifts. After that, we all headed home (except my grandma because it was her house XD). My friend thanked my grandma for having her over, and on the ride to my friend's house, I thanked her for being there and said it meant so much to me.

That night, I realized that I have the best kind of friend I could ever have. A Christian girl.

Teenagers usually prefer to talk to friends? I guess that's acurate. I wish I could remember what mine was like but that was waaay so long ago. Glad that you liked the day.

Well, I've managed to be active almost every day so far. I guess I'll be able to go on most days, but I won't have much time to do so. So I still stand by what I said about not being able to go through some notifications.

I'm so glad you had many Christian friends and family surrounding you that day bringing a smile to your face, and I hope your happy mood stays for a long time ^^. It's always happy, to me, to see someone so happy and excited and dedicating themselves to their religious beliefs .~

I may neither be Christian nor exceptionally religious, but I'll do my best to be a good friend anyway, and I hope everything goes well for you, your friends, and your family .

NintendoFanKimmy : It's hard to be happy when almost everyone around me is being a dork at school, but I've been able to be at least content most of the time.  Everything has been going very well so far, and I've only had a few issues so far, but they're normal.

ACTIVITY UPDATE: Because of the schedule I've worked out, I should be able to go on Vizzed for at least a few minutes almost every day, until I take my 2nd trimester exams a few weeks from now! I'll also be online for fewer days when I go through the 3rd trimester of this school year.

I'm reading the New International Version (NIV) of the Bible which is a lot shorter than older versions. Definitely well worth the read

I started reading the Bible about a week ago. I've barely read any of it, but my Bible gives me all the scripture I need to have a basic summary of the story, so I'm reading and studying that before I start reading the whole Bible.

I've been pretty bad at time management lately so I haven't had much God time every day and I was slipping away from my new ways for a while, but starting today after getting home from school I'm trying to redeem myself and dedicate more time to God each day than I have been. I've been praying a couple times every day for everyone I remembered

I haven't been doing bad for a new Christian, but I haven't been trying as hard as I need to. If I gave all my effort I could be really amazing for someone my age I've been doing a lot better at reaching out to others more though.

It's fine that you left the board so long without warning. I accidentally do the opposite and warn people that I might become less active, but most of the time I'm only on for like 30 minutes less than usual

It would be awesome if you could be active posting every day again. Just don't let it get in the way of important things such as spending time with God.

Wow, that's a pretty young age to get baptized, but it seems most people get baptized when they're babies.
