Oh man, I have, I know that feeling.

It was my disc of Smackdown, for the X360.
Man, I didn't even wanna ask money for that piece of garbage, I just tore the disc in three pieces and threw it away. ^^'

What's your history of irresponsibly and brutally destroying  your video games?

I'm thinking of the only disc which I broke, "The Granstream Saga" for PS1.

I bought this game, probably about 10 years ago, from GameStop (disc only), this was when I knew nothing of emulation.

I played about 20 hours into it, there were tons of scratches (normal back then), and it stopped working.

The disc was clean, but I just couldn't repair the scratches.

Good times snapping the disc in half.

tRIUNE : Was emulation even a thing already in 2004? Anyway, yeah, don't you just love how fragile game discs are, when a couple of scratches could mean the end of your game? ^^'

Probably not, but my point was I didn't start learning about computers until about 2007-2008.

Yes, too many times

No, seriously. My brother and I had this Modded PS2, and i kept breaking the games because I forgot to put them back in to the case.

Luckily, now I know how to burn games so I can play them again.

I have only had one disc that actually went in half. A CD-ROM disc of a Thomas The Tank Engine game which was subtitled as "Trouble on the Tracks" and how I broke it wasn't even my family's fault. The disc was somehow shot (For real) and about more than a quarter of the disc was seperated. I got that in 2005 to play and watch what used to be one of my favorite TV shows. I will admit that. Just because it was shot, it wouldn't be able to even read it, so we didn't want to wreck the CD drive in my dads old computer even further by trying.

I have many old games that suffered scratches. One of the worst was another CD-ROM disc called "Nicktoons Basketball" and that game was so fun when I was 7. It was so scratched that my dad couldn't install it when he got a newer computer. It would stop at 61% because apparently, the game was scratched where a spot of the character data. It said "Danny" meaning that the character data for Danny Phantom got scratched and couldn't be found.

Besides that, rest of the discs I lost were from scratches. Notable one for me was another old game, called "Super Mario Strikers" for the GameCube. That was really fun when I was 6. The game couldn't read the Records data on the Main Menu. Other than that, it was perfectly fine. I had another GameCube game called "Spomgebob: Lights, Camera, Pants" that suffered a very similar problem. This time, the superhero cutscenes after finishing a role in the game wouldn't work, NONE of them! So after completing a role, I would have to reset the game after it finished saving to my memory card.

Seems interesting, though as I lost many discs to not leaving them into their case when I was 6. I was too young and stupid at the time.

Just twice. Amped, when I threw it against the door. Cracked it in two. I was frustrated with a certain part.

The second game was WWE '12. That one was an accident. I was just putting the game back into the case, and the edges around the hole cracked pretty badly. The disc is still intact though. I was in EB Games a few days later and overheard someone telling an employee about how she cracked the centre of her Call of Duty game or something while trying to put it back in the case. He mentioned something about a few game's where the little bit in the centre was
really stiff (WWE '12 was one of them) and people were bringing games back in that were cracked or broken.

It still works, but I'm kind of paranoid about playing it now. lol

I did once.

I can't remember the game, but i know that day i was frustrated over something unrelated. So i decided to dig through a pile of unused CD/DVD's and break one. I just snapped it with my hands.

I've never had an instance of me breaking a disc just by dropping it, and i don't see how it could happen.

I really cannot say for sure. I do not remember having broken a disc, but may have done something of the sort in my rage at the kameks on mario. And I do remember accidentally kneeling on my notebook computer. But that would be about it.
