Jar Jar Binks is freaking awesome. I think he is one of the best supporting characters in the "first" Star Wards series. I mean, sure, there were some other good ones, but Jar Jar is my main man.

   I don't think I'll ever understand why he was hated as much as he was, while Chewbacca didn't seem to be labeled annoying. I didn't really like either of them, personally, though. Jar Jar seemed like too much of a character made to appeal to kids, but it isn't like he was the worst part of the prequels. Maybe I'd have to watch the movies again to really see why he was hated, but it isn't like it would be the first movie ever to have a goofy character in it.

Even though I have never been a big starwars person, I don't really like JarJar much, granted, I don't watch star wars a lot, I've seen enough to know that he looks really ridiculous (even by the standards of most starwars characters) and he has a really annoying, shrill voice....seriously, if it were up to me, and I was on a mission with him, I would probably just leave him behind. This is just based off of speculation and the little bits and pieces I've watched of star wars. I don't really know a lot about him personality wise, except that he is a coward, so if I were to form any more of an opinion of him, I would have to watch the star wars movies more in depth. I don't really like him though, there are plenty of other characters I think that are way cooler than him.

I'm indifferent to Jar Jar. I like and dislike him, it really depends on the situation. Sometimes he's pretty cool, sometimes he's despicable, so overall I just feel indifferent. I wouldn't say that I don't like him, but he really wasn't my favorite character. With just a little more character development, I honestly think that he could have become so much more of a better character. I didn't hate him, but honestly not too great for me.
