One of the most famous and well liked actors has passed. It's unfortunate, and I hope that he rests in peace.

I loved Jimanji, Night in the Museum, Mrs. Doubtfire, and Aladin. 

I'm not going to lie, once i heard he was dead, i frowned. That's not an easy thing to get me to do. I loved jumaji, dead poets society, and good morning vietnam. Oh, night at the Museum, too.

Robin Williams was one of my entire family's favorite actor. He was so funny yet he had some of the more serious movies and tv shows as well. I was shocked to see him go. I knew he had some type of problems because of live tv interviews and things I have seen him on but I didn't know it was this deep and it's so sad. He will be truly missed!  R.I.P ROBIN WILLIAMS!!!!!!!!

I was able to recognize that he was a troubled man. His face often hid a powerful depression. I know because I've been there. I can see it on peoples' faces and can relate. Yet he still made a powerful impact on the world. I will remember him always from Flubber, Aladdin, and Jumanji.

I couldn't believe it when I saw this thread.  I think this is the first celebrity death that I can say actually affected me... Although reading it a few minutes ago, my throat is still a bit constricted. I know everyone has to go eventually, but it's so hard to imagine such a happy-looking man going due to suicide.  Death was shocking enough, but to see he killed himself?  Just the other day I was watching a clip with him joking around with Koko the Gorilla.  I don't keep up with news very often, so I never knew he was battling depression.  This news makes me very sad, and it's a blow to Hollywood, for sure. His innocent humor (compared to most of today's standards) was something I grew up with.  I'm so shocked that's gone.

Strong case of the sads right now. I love his movies. A really superficial way to miss a person, but I had no personal connection to him. Either way, he will be missed. 

My sister only told me about 20 minutes ago. As soon as I poked my head online, news of his suicide went EVERYWHERE! It's amazing to see how beloved Robin Williams was, and upsetting he committed suicide. I heard he was going to do a Mrs. Doubtfire 2 movie, which normally I'd be apprehensive of, but if Robin Williams was involved, I figured it wouldn't suffer too poorly from sequelitis.

Part of me wants to go back a marathon through all his best movies now.

He is one of the few celebrities that has died and has actually made me sad because of it......it's a shame because I like a lot of his movies like Happy Feet, Aladdin, Dead poet's society, Night at the Museum and so on. I didn't know about it until my parents checked their phones and they got a news notification and they started reading...their faces were in complete shock when they found out.... 

At 63 too...I still consider that a young age to die...he was one of the funniest actors I had ever known and I never would've guessed someone like him would pass away as a result of suicide. Like Legacy said, it's a shame how some of the funniest people are actually some of the most depressed on the inside...

I can't believe he's gone, rest in peace Robin Williams. 

Wow, the things I remember Robin Williams the best from is either Flubber or Mrs. Doubtfire. But mostly Flubber because I remember I would used to watch Flubber about every week. It's sad that it only has a rating of 4.9/10 I loved that movie so much.

All of my feels have been washed up to shore on this. He was a pretty good amount of my childhood, and I will miss his presence. RIP Robin Williams.

I loved jumanji and night at the museum :'(

I wasn't really too bummed out but I was more shocked about the way he died. I wouldn't have expected Robin Williams would commit suicide. I also never would have expected he was battling depression. He hid it extremely well. Even though I never watch a lot of his stand up acts or movies anymore I loved him as a kid. Jumanji was one of the first movies I saw with him. Thanks for the memories Robin.

I've seen Good Morning Vietnam and I loved him in that movie, he was a funny and great actor. It's a shame he died, although 63 is somewhat old it's not an old age at which people usually die because they are too old. I didn't know he had a depression, that makes me sad to hear about.

Yeah, This is really sad, He features in one of my favourite movies Flubber! So many childhood memories, It's really sad, and he will be missed, He was a terrific actor! And he was really funny.

I was heartbroken when I heard about this last night. I'm crying while typing this. He was one of my favourite comedians and was a big part of my childhood. He brought so much joy to other peoples lives and he will be truly and deeply missed. RIP Robin Williams. 

I just went through this thread "liking" many of the posts because they said exactly what I felt. My friend told me about this last night via email, and I just sat there and stared at my monitor for a few minutes. Once I started regaining some feeling, I reread that line probably five times, but I could still barely wrap my mind around the news...



Never have I been bothered by the death of a celebrity, but this left me devastated for a bit. I couldn't believe it. Robin Williams was a major part of my childhood, and I actually kind of looked up to him (probably helped that he looked like my dad). It sounds ridiculous to say, but the death of a man I never met left a small hole in my heart that I still can't quite come to terms with. Maybe if he'd known how many people really cared about him... Funny, I never would have thought his death would affect me at all, let alone as much as it did. Poor Robin, if only someone had noticed the signs and tried to help.
