While the site was down, I was looking for things to work on and on my to do list was upgrading the flash chat room so that's what I did. Unfortunately upgrading it resulted into data loss but I'm working on getting things back to normal with the chat room. As for chat credits, not sure what we'll do about that yet, I haven't found a way to see how many credits everyone had.

There's lots of new enhancements and features to the new chat room. Better stability, less server strain, better video/audio chat, better HTML chat, ability to access the chat using one of the Mobile Apps, cleaner look, a few features here and there and a lot of enhancements behind the scenes. Also while I was at it, I got the Video Conference module and this might come in handy for a possible 'Vizzed Movie Night' in the chat room.

For those who are wondering, we had been using 123 Flash Chat v9.6, now we are using version 10.0. Here are links to see all of the enhancements since version 9.6:

We wont be utilizing all the new features and it'll be up to play4fun to pick and choose what we use and how we use them.

All globals and admins will want to PM me passwords that they want to use for the chat room so that I can grant admin powers.

play4fun : you'll want to recreate any chat room I forgot to recreate and edit whatever needs to be edited. You'll also want to assign local moderators to the chat rooms.

As for chat, it's going to take some getting used to, but after that, it looks like it can become much better than the old one. Yeah. I'm going to miss all those credits. 

zanderlex : If you think you're gonna miss credits, I lost 330 million.

I do think it'll be an improvement though. It'll take some getting used to, but overall it's for the best. I'm sure I'll be content once I'm not a newbie anymore

mrfe : Yeah, as I was typing that reply, I right away thought about you. But what would you have done with 330 milion? It's not like you could spend it all. 

Davideo7 : What if the rate in which you recieve credits in chat increases? If you can't really give anybody credits back, I think doubling the credit output per minute or making chat free for a while would help offset the losses for some.

Thank you for the update! I've been wanting to get on the chat room with an iPad for some time now.

As for the credits, I had ~1.5 M (mostly from mrfe), but I don't mind starting over.

Most of all, I love chat's new look.

I have to admit that first I wasn't all that keen on the newer chat room. I had no complaints, but I liked the look of the old one.  However... after reading your post, there is one reason that makes the change totally worth it for me:  I will LOVE being able to open the chat room from time to time on my phone.
