What subject would you like to learn about? The mods here would like to hear your ideas, so we can search for a suitable teacher for your subject of interest. We can't promise to find someone willing to write articles on anything you want to learn about, but we can certainly look! And if we can't find someone knowledgeable on the subject, we might be able to lead you to a reputable learning source.

Request away, but be reasonable. Remember that this forum can be thought of as a 'vizzed encyclopedia', so we're not going to write articles on "Sonic the Hedgehog's favorite food" or anything similar to this. Also, try to pick subjects in which decent conversations can be held regularly. For example, asking about "The height of Mt. McKinley" is a single fact that can't really be discussed. Instead, you might want to ask to learn about the formation and erosion of mountains, instead.

If you're not sure what's acceptable as a request, just ask anyways. The worst we can do is cut out your tongues say no!

I'd love to learn more regarding coding (such as HTML, CSS, etc.)! While the topic does seem a little daunting, the rewards would be great!

Also, I'd love to learn more about cars and how they work (in the eyes of learning to be a car mechanic). While I'm not necessarily wanting to become a car mechanic, learning more in that area could help me a lot with future costs and such.

I really want to learn about investing, stocks, and all that really cool funky jazz. I had the chance to, at a club at my high school, but unfortunately, it was just me and a VERY unenthusiastic junior, who actually didn't know much about investing in the first place. I really didn't learn anything from there, but hopefully maybe there are people here who are much more enthusiastic than him!

I know just the basics of financing, so I am not a total noob at this. If there happens to be a teacher, maybe we can do a mock investing/stock market game or some sort, and keep daily tabs of the market!

Addition: Ah, I too would like to learn a little more about coding as well, like mrfe. I, again, know the basics, but would like to get a little more advanced and such.

I want to learn about literature.

From Shakespeare to folklore, etc. I want truly want to learn about them is what's inside the story. Sure, I can read the story, but I want to learn the meaning behind the characters' role, the message of the story itself, the whole psycho-analysis thing. I wonder if I make sense.

I also would like to learn a little about physiology. I've never took the class before, so something very student friendly would be great. I want to learn about how certain movements will affect and maybe even cause other movements.

Can you teach me AP Calculus BC. I want to learn a litle bit before I take it in college.

One thing that I would love to learn... psychology. How people can manipulate others by movements, how the brain works, that theory with the guy that uses a whistle so his dog salivates...

megamanmaniac :  I can actually do calculus if nobody else jumps to this. I was hoping to give other people the chance to write articles on here, so that this forum isn't about me and what I can teach.  If nobody volunteers though, I might end up doing it myself.

I have not actually helped anyone learn a language outside the three basics (JAVA, C, and Python) but would be willing to lend you my assistance in any way possible. If you would like to tell me how much you already know about the language in question, I can do my best to start the process of finding a way to teach you. My replies may be slightly delayed due to oncoming finals, but I will reply regardless.

Um, first one I would like to learn is to improve more on my grammar and writing....and also...could it be possible, if someone can teach me Japanese language as well please?

I'm in the same boat as Becerra here, I love Psychology and how people think, I mean it's possible to make yourself look like someone you're not and it's incredibly easy, I won't claim to be an expert but I'm decently rounding in Psychology personally, especially for my age.

becerra95 : If you're interested I can talk to you on the subject, but I don't think I'm the teacher you're looking for, maybe more of a fellow student or college (I spell that right?) on the subject if you're interested. Although basically all my knowledge on the subject is first hand, that being said I've been observing people for fifteen years so I do at least know a bit.

Eniitan : Try talking to Corrina about writing and grammar, she has had books published and if we see her anytime soon I think she may be willing to help you out in that boat. As for Japanese I'm learning myself so I'm pretty much out of the question.

If you want to learn programming then search a site called dash.generalassembly
and Microsoft offers an free easy-to-use HTML coding program called Microsoft Web Developer.
What would be very interesting would be actual programming like C or C++ I already know some of these but I don't think I could teach it, instead I can help getting started with learning coding or programming.

A lot of these are really exciting! I'm great with grammar so after I brush up on a few of the rules, I most certainly can help with that. I was a former English major, so I have a some background in literature as well. I'm not necessarily a fan of a lot of literature, but I can definitely psychoanalyze some things. I'm interested in stocks and investing as well, so what I'm going to do is spend some time researching it and offer a few different view points.

I have two jobs, but I graduate college next week so I will have a lot more free time!

A lot of the topics being requested here are... super exciting.  I'd love to read up on most of them myself, and I'm hoping someone is willing to take up the teacher mantle in those topics.  My grammar is pretty strong as well, but I don't want to take on yet another topic without other teachers being added first.

I think that because there is so much to the English language, multiple grammar threads or grammar teachers would really be beneficial. I'll definitely help out. I was thinking about how my girlfriend struggles with "to" and "too," so I might delve into some of the common problems we run into every day and how to fix them once and for all.

I would like to learn how to use editing software for videos. So i could have better quality videos. So it would help a lot if someone could teach me that.

mourinhosgum : I can definitely help you with something like that. Part of my interest is in filmmaking, and not only have I done two feature films to compete in my schools inner film festival competition, but I also am developing an apologetics series on YouTube. I know certain basic and advanced techniques in editing as well as cinematography since that was my role in making those films. I know of resources and knowledge in incorporating music and audio, better cuts in your sequence, different angles to improve the video, etc, etc.

However, you might want to find someone else if you are thinking of how to composite videos (special effects using After Effects or Motion) since I know different theories and methodologies on how to use those software, but I haven't done a lot of practice because I don't have the software themselves.

Singelli : Are you sill going to teach me Calculus BC? I know differential and integral calculus, but I never dealt with hyperbolic functions.
