The site migration and maintenance is complete. The site should now be working properly and running at top speed.

For those who don't know, the site has been in the process of a migration over the past few months and in the past few days, that process has been finalizing. This migration was a mandatory hostgator migration and I'm real glad it's finally done. This also means that the site wont be going down at 6 AM (central time) every day due to backups, it'll only go down once a week now at that same time for a single weekly backup.

If you have any questions or feedback, please post them to this thread.

In my opinion the site IS faster. Thank you for updating us. Your a great site owner. Plus this site is amazing by itself. Honestly I was mad that the forums where down, not the games, I've lost interest in them, but the forum is amazing. I cant stress enough how thankful I am. I cant wait to see what else you have up your sleeve. Keep um coming David.

Davideo7 : You're welcome, I willing to bet we're all as glad as you are that this site maintenance is finished as alot of us enjoy working on this site or just coming on here to take time to relax. We should all really be thanking you and many others for taking this site so far from when it first started even compared to how it was in 2010 to where Vizzed is now & what is planned to come.

Davideo7 : Will the new server your moving the games to be able to support resuming broken downloads? I ask because last week I tried downloading Final Fantasy VII and it kept resetting itself. It would get about halfway to 75 % and start over. I eventually hit my data limit and had to give up. Just wondering if it could do this or at the least be a lot more stable.
For larger games it would be a big help.

Jordanv78 : They did have a lot of servers to transfer so I understand why it took so long, just unfortunate. They also gave me a full month free for one of my servers, which is a $375 value so they at least made it up to me in some way. They've also upgraded their server plans and the new updates are insane, puts their prices above and beyond Godaddy's. My main file server is still with Godaddy but I'm going to transfer it to hostgator because for $75 more, I would go from 10 TB bandwidth to 25 TB, 100 Mbps uplink to 1 Gbps uplink (that determines download speed of files) and an overall far faster server. With the new changes hostgator has done recently, I'll probably save $500+ a month on server fees, which is a big deal since the site's traffic and ad revenue have dropped so much over the past few months.

Vizzed.com is very expensive to keep alive! The Ads pay for the servers.

Vizzed has 3 TB worth of games and 1 TB worth of music.  This site is free to use but the ads barely pay for the monthly server fees.  If too many more people use ad block, the site cannot survive.
