My favorite Sonic is Sonic 06 I'm not very fond if the classic Sonic games in fact the oldest Sonic game I had played was Sonic Advance I think that is what the game was called and yes I believe it was the third one I believe.

Was never the biggest Sonic fan, but I really enjoyed Sonic Battle and Sonic Heroes for the Gamecube console. I also played Sonic advance 2 on the gameboy which I never really got through beating but I did enjoy the challenge and loved using Cream. I loved Sonic Heroes because of the soundtrack and the animated introduction which I loved the music and it was all around epic! My favorite team for that title was Team Chaotic. I never actually beat it completely because I did not enjoy the game enough especially the weird puzzles they kept throwing in each stage which didn't confuse me it just made the game too weird for my taste. I loved Sonic Battle because of the awesome stages and the free movement you had. Overall between Sonic and Mario I lean a lot more towards Mario but I respect the Sonic franchise even though it is not only under Mario in profits but also under the contender for first which is surprisingly the Pokémon franchise believe it or not. Which makes me want to create numerous hacks for Pokémon games because that franchise doesn't let online games with sprites for it even though they pocket almost as much money as Mario and because of the fact that they almost actually sued me for creating an introduction video for a friend's online Pokémon game. (Yeah I know really incredibly ignorant of them!)

Will more than likely be the big odd one out here but my favorite Sonic game has to be Sonic CD. I use to have that for the PC back in 93' and man did I play that thing.. I personally thought it was one of the coolest Sonic games they had at the time with the ability to warp. Plus the Sonic Boom theme song came from that game and I loved the animated cutscenes. I love many Sonic games but Sonic CD holds a higher place on my list because it blew my mind as a kid.

I mean, it's a two player fighting game man.


If you mean a more traditional game, then I would go for
Sonic 3 and Knuckles. Lock on technology was pretty cool.
You could play as Sonic, Knuckles, or Tails, Sonic had his shield
abilities like the mid air fire spinball attack. I loved the fire shield.
Fun walking on lava while fighting Dr. Robotnik with that shield.
And who could forget Hydro City and exploring it with the water shield
so that you didn't have to hunt down air bubbles.

Oh yeah you cannot go wrong with Sonic the hedgehog 2, it is just a classic, the music is awesome, the graphics and everything about it is just amazing. I am going to go with Sonic the hedgehog 2 because of this. It is my favorite game to this day and I still own it for the sega genesis. I think it is still much better than most modern sonic games to tell you the truth. But that is just my silly opinion on why I think sonic 2 is the best sonic game ever!

Awesome-Kid : I actually liked the Sonic R game on the computer / PC for some reason. That is one of the few sonic games I have, and I think that it is the best in my opinion. Probably the worst for some people. :p
