The main thing that sucks in the games is the story, your start in the little town you are boy or girl then you go meet Professor Somethingsomething and choose one starter Pokémon (fire, water or grass) Then you have a rival who challenges you now and then to see which one of you are stronger. And then there is Team Somethingsomething who wants to rule the world or steal some pokemon's. And of course there is always 8 Pokémon gyms you have to beat and then go to the victory road and beat the elite 4 and the champion.

So it's really dull that in every pokemon game the base of the story is the same.

But do I love or hate these games? No I don't love or hate them.. I sometimes even play them when I'm bored. Not so much as I did when I was younger.

I love it. It's my favorite video game franchise of all time. I also really like interacting with the Pokemon community online. I was kind of disappointed at the last game for barely having any post game content (the story about locker was nice though).

I would have to say I love it.I played it since was seven,I watched the show starting at 5.Not much of a fan of the show now,but I love the games.I love RPGs.I don't think it's entirely for little kids,there's some really messed up stuff in the games.

I used to be a hardcore Pokemon fan but it sort of died a little due to school. I am still trying my best to keep up with the newest Pokemon anime and games though. I still like Pokemon. I've had more fun with the older games when I was younger. At least the Pokemon series and franchise are still going for the whole general audience.

I am drifting ever closer to the hate side. As I play more games, and have more experiences with JRPGs, I end up finding better offerings in the genre, and the games seem less like the best thing ever, and more like a bland, repetitive, pretty much story-less mess. The fan-base has also started to irritate me more and more as time goes on. Especially when I hear that Pokemon is the best game ever, and that all other JRPGs suck, and that they are unwilling to try those other JRPGs. I find it rather irksome.

actualy i like pokemon because it really makes u think and its not for little kids because most little kids wont comprehend how to get certain tms or hms and if they lost they would just straight up break the game if and its a game of trail and error because if you lose you will just have to be better prepared for next time like i actualy lost to the fighting gym in emerald and it was that makihita that defeated me but then i knew how to deal with makuhita XD

I like Pokémon. I played it more when I was younger though but at this point I'm playing Pokémon Platinum and I still like it. Sure, the stories may be bad but the rest of the game is always great. I don't play pokemon a lot, but I do respect the battle mechanics (aka, I like it but not so much), and those that say that pokemon is not a complex/great RPG game, let them try pokemon showdown and tell them to win at least 5 random battle, they'll find that this task is far harder and more complex than their average RPG games.
