Probably 2 or 3 days at best, but I will say I missed 2 days of school recently and also had a 2 hour delay just because of some icy sleet I got last week. I am not complaining but it didn't even snow. I wish I had a few more snow days throughout the year and  could miss school for it. Most of the time we get "snow days" off, it doesn't even snow, just a thin layer of ice that prevents us from going to school. 

I would just like it to snow a bit more often. Not every day, but just enough to keep it rare and interesting. I would hate to have it snow every day, but then again, it is almost like I have forgotten what it even looks like because I hardly ever get it anymore.

Apparently, tomorrow New York City is supposed to get its third snow day in 20 years, and I'm a bit sad about it because i'm in college, so there's no school. All the public schools get off, which is why I would have preffered if the snow day was on a day where everybody had school.

Considering you had created this thread, I assume school had been closed for you, too. I live within the state of New Jersey and I believe it is suppose to eventually reach the one degree fahrenheit over here. I enjoy the frozen weather, so it is not an issue for myself. Really depends for me. I live in Texas, home of unusual and impractical weather. I mean, this really did happen to me, one minute it could be snowing, another minute hailing, and another minute clear as day! It's VERY unpredictable.

I usually get about a week as here in Dundee we sometimes get a lot of snow and sometimes there is absolutely none. I hope it won't be as bad as 2010 this year. That was horrible.

We actually do get snow days, even when we shouldn't sometimes. Our new superintendent takes precautions, unlike the previous one who would send us to school, even if there was a tornado (exaggerating, but probably true). The only reason we missed the two weeks, five years ago, was because the buses could not even make it through the roads. The weather was still pretty bad, even when the roads were clear, but we had to go back, anyway.
