Does anyone here ever eat something like a peanut butter sandwich then has to drink a glass of milk to survive [emphasis added]? It happens to me every so often as I do not know how I would live without peanut butter. A second question... Does anyone know why milk is helpful in this situation?

Well, no because I'm allergic to peanuts.

I never have a problem unless I eat like a whole case. Though I do relate to needing milk with a PB sandwich. I like it because it stops the PB from sticking in my throat so I feel better with it.

well thats not really an issue for me because i hate peanut butter,probably good that i do because they add so much oil to that stuff.

Yah I always have to drink milk or soda with peanut butter items.  Milk helps because it's a denser liquid than others so it can grab onto the peanut butter and swish it down to your stomach.  Soda also helps take it away with it's ability to break stuff down.  If it can take rust off metal it should be able to take off peanut butter~

Peanut butter has never gotten stuck to the roof of my mouth. I eat smooth peanut butter a lot more than I eat natural peanut butter, so that might have something to do with it.

One thing you can do is stop putting on so much... Just put a thinner layer on the bread and it won't be so difficult to swallow your bites, lol.

I have the trouble with even just bread. I always need a drink, I like soda or seltzer to help get it down. Seltzer is really good it cuts through anything in a blast.
