Fall 2014 Netplay Tournament: Tecmo Super Bowl 2015 = Sign up Now!
This is an "Official" Vizzed tournament. As some of you know, I host a Tecmo Super Bowl tournament every fall which contains a current NFL roster. Unlike the last Vizzed Tournament (which will be headed to the final round in a few weeks), this tournament will not involve teams.
This tournament will last for 20 weeks. The first 4 games will determine who advances into the regular games (I use this to weed out those who don't participate). The next 12 games are regular games and will be used to determine who goes to the elimination rounds. The last 4 games are the elimination rounds and the last round of course is the final game. The idea is to have this tournament last as long as the NFL season, so it'll begin at around the same time and end at around the same time. Tecmo Super Bowl tournaments are held every year and they last longer than any other tournament that I host. We'll be playing a 2014-2015 roster update of Tecmo Super Bowl. The hack hasn't been added to the site yet since it's still being worked on but it'll be ready before the tournament begins next week. Requirements: -You must live in the United States (unless you have had very little lag problems playing netplay with USA users) -The RGR Plugin must work fine on your computer, especially for Nintendo NES games -If you're on the ban list, you cannot enter. To see who is on the ban list, go here: https://www.vizzed.com/boards/thread.php?id=60334 Prizes: 1st = 100,000 Viz 2nd = 50,000 Viz 3rd = 25,000 Viz Team Entry Fee: 5,000 Viz (you can send me the Viz by going to my profile) Rebate: 4,000 Viz If you participate throughout the entire competition, you will get 4000 of that Viz refunded. If you drop out or fail to participate, you will not get your 4000 Viz back and you will be added to the ban list. Signup ends and Tournament begins on Thursday, September 4th. If you want to enter, send me the 5,000 Viz and reply to this thread: https://www.vizzed.com/boards/thread.php?id=79474 |

Vizzed Minecraft Accounts for Auction
Every Friday for the next 4-6 weeks I'll be auctioning off 4 Minecraft accounts for rent. What I mean by "rent" is that you get to use the account for 1 year but you cannot change the skin that the account comes with (reasons below). If you want to renew the account, the price to renew the account for each additional year is 25% of the Viz price that you paid for the account. These are full accounts that you have full access to and you can do just about anything with them (except change the skin as mentioned already).
These accounts serve 3 purposes: 1. The skins of the accounts will be used for the NPC's on the Pokemon Kanto Region world 2. To get more users on the Vizzed Minecraft Server 3. To give users another reason to earn Viz The reason that you cannot change the skin of the account is because the NPC addon that we use on the minecraft server lets you create NPCs but you can only use skins of actual minecraft accounts. I want to make NPCs in the Pokemon Kanto Region on the Vizzed Minecraft Server similar to the NPCs from Pokemon Fire Red and Leaf Green. These skins take a while to make and it also takes me a while to come up with the budget to buy these accounts (they cost me around US $27 each), this is why I'm only selling 4 per a week. The intent with these skins is for them to resemble their sprite from Pokemon Fire Red/Leaf Green as closely as possible. For those who don't know, Vizzed has a Minecraft Server that has been used by more than 500 users since it launched 6+ months ago. If you win one of these accounts and join the Vizzed Minecraft Server, you can use a nickname different from the name of the minecraft account. For more information on the Vizzed Minecraft Server, go here: https://www.vizzed.com/boards/thread.php?id=75152 Or if you want to see our Vizzed Minecraft World, go here: https://www.vizzed.com/videogames/minecraft.php Here's a list of the current accounts for auction: Vizzed_Red

Donate your Games to Vizzed = Earn Viz for Special Features
My quest continues to obtaining physical copies of games in the Retro Game Room. I have a lot already but still a ton to go. Systems you could donate games for include SNES, NES, GBA/GB/GBC, N64, Genesis, TG, PSX, etc (basically anything, even modern, but preferably retro games). I'll pay you 1000s of Viz for sending me your games.
Here's a few examples of items that you might want to earn Viz for: 10,000 Viz = Netplay item - Allows you to create netplay sessions without paying Viz 25,000 Viz = V-Machine item - Allows you to play any game without paying Viz (doesn't include cd games) 50,000 Viz = Laptop item - Allows you to play any game without paying Viz (doesn't include cd games). Also allows you to create netplay sessions 50,000 Viz = Playstation item - Allows you to play 480+ different Playstation games You can find a list of items that you can buy that do special things here: https://www.vizzed.com/boards/store.php?action=shops&types=accessory You can donate either retro games or modern games. For any game that I already own that you donate, I'll probably sell them and use the profit to invest into the site. If you donate a Playstation game, not only will I give you Viz for it but I'll also add it as a playable game on the site. You can of course earn Viz in many other ways, a complete list of ways can be found here: https://www.vizzed.com/boards/controlpanel.php?category=help&help=terminology&name=Viz#Viz Tell me in the following thread what games you're interested in donating, the condition of the games and I'll tell you how much Viz I'd give you for the games: https://www.vizzed.com/boards/thread.php?id=58552 |

New Systems & Games Added to the Retro Game Room + Other Updates!
Here's a nice batch of New Games and Systems Over the past few weeks, 7 retro game systems have been added to the Retro Game Room which has increased the RGR library by around 1,336 games. The added new systems include: -Sega Saturn (75% of the games work) -Phillips CD-i (only around 25% of the games work) -Atari Jaguar (only around 10% of the games work) -Pokemon Mini (most of the games work) -Sony PocketStation (75% of the games work) -Magnavox Odyssey 2 (most of the games work) -Sega Pico Since all of these games still need to be tested and configured, they are currently only available to Beta Testers of the site. To become a Beta Tester, you need to buy the "Beta Test Ticket" for 10,000 Viz here: https://www.vizzed.com/boards/store.php?action=shops&types=siteitem Each system will become available to everyone once the staff has finished testing and configuring the games of each system. The CD systems and the systems with a lot of games will take longer to test. Some of the games for these systems may not work and some may not function properly. Some of these can be fixed once the staff get to them while others may never be playable. Also, I'm still working on adding more games to these systems. You can find a complete list of the newly added games here: https://www.vizzed.com/playonlinegames/index.php?pm=true&ss=true&sp=true&aj=true&mo2=true&sps=true&cdi=true&search=&system=&searchBy=name Need Viz to play these new games? Scroll down for information on how you can earn a lot of Viz in a very short amount of time just for helping out Vizzed.com. New Item Shop Item: V-Machine CD As some of you know, the V-Machine item lets you play all games for free once you've paid the Viz for it but it doesn't let you play CD games for free (due to their disk space and bandwidth). I've added a new item to the item shop called 'V-Machine CD' which also covers CD games for 50,000 Viz (except PSX). CD systems on the site that this covers include: -Sega CD -Sega Saturn -Turbo Grafx CD -PC-FX -CDi (more to come) You can see that item as well as all other items here: https://www.vizzed.com/boards/store.php?action=shops&types=siteitem Playstation Games Vizzed has had Playstation games for quite a while and the library keeps on getting bigger and bigger. The only way to view and play our Playstation library is by purchasing the 'Playstation' item for 50,000 Viz: https://www.vizzed.com/boards/store.php?action=shops&types=siteitem Earn 10,000+ Viz I've created a new thread full of new offers which allow you to earn a ton of Viz in a very short amount of time. For more information, go here: https://www.vizzed.com/boards/thread.php?id=78350 New YouTube Channels I've created 3 new YouTube channels which will have different purposes: Vizzed Video Game Commercials: A channel dedicated to video game commercials (this is where all the old commercials will go) Vizzed Video Game Music: A channel dedicated to video game soundtracks Vizzed Productions: A channel dedicated to events, tournaments, competitions and compilation videos Of the 3 new channels, the only one which has content currently is the 'Vizzed Video Game Commercials' channel. The other 2 channels will get content added next month. Be sure to subscribe to the above 3 channels and also subscribe to the already existing channels: Vizzed Gameplay Videos David Auchampach If you have any questions or comments regarding any of these https://www.vizzed.com/boards/thread.php?id=78352 |

Summer 2014 Netplay Tournament: Teams = Sign up for a chance to win $75
This competition will involve 2 player teams facing off against other 2 player teams. This will be the very first Netplay Tournament with a Cash prize.
This tournament will last for 12 weeks. The first 3 games will determine who advances into the regular games (I use this to weed out those who don't participate). The next 5 games are regular games and will be used to determine who goes to the elimination rounds. The last 4 games are the elimination rounds and the last round of course is the final game. You must enter as a team, so find someone who is willing to be your teammate and let me know what your team name is. Your team may also contain a 3rd user, a user who will basically be one of your backups in case one of you can't participate in a matchup in any given week or someone who can fill in if one of the main players of the team is bad at a game that gets picked. The 3rd backup player isn't required but is suggested if you can find someone willing to take on that role. Be careful on who you choose as a teammate. If your teammate doesn't show up for a matchup, then it's you against 2. If your teammate gets banned from the competition or drops out, then you have to play the entire tournament alone unless you can find someone to The games that this tournament will involve: -Bomberman '94 (TG) -Micro Machines 2 - Turbo Tournament (SNES) -Super Spike V'Ball (NES) -Final Match Tennis (TG) -Hit the Ice: The Video Hockey League (TG) -WWF Raw (SNES) Only 2 games from last summer's teams tournament are present this year, the other 4 are new to the annual teams tournament. You can see the details and results of the 2013 teams tournament here: https://www.vizzed.com/boards/thread.php?id=61450 Requirements: -You must live in the United States (unless you have had very little lag problems playing netplay with USA users) -The RGR Plugin must work fine on your computer, especially for Nintendo, Super Nintendo and Turbo Grafx games (in fact, if SNES netplay doesn't work for you, you will have a disadvantage but you can still participate) -You be free at least 1 hour every week that this tournament takes place or have a backup player that can fill in for you any week that you're unavailable -If your on the ban list, you cannot enter. To see who is on the ban list, go here: https://www.vizzed.com/boards/thread.php?id=60334 Prizes: 1st = 100,000 Viz or US $75 2nd = 50,000 Viz or US $25 3rd = 25,000 Viz (teams will share the prize) Penalty: If you miss more than 25% of your matches, then you'll have 10,000 Viz deducted from your account. If you miss more than 50% of your matches, then you'll be added to the ban list. This rule does not apply to backup players and you wont be affected by this rule if you can get your backup player to fill in for you in a week that you'll miss. Signup ends and Tournament begins on Tuesday, July 1st If you want to enter, reply to the below thread with your team name, who the leader of the team is and who is on your team. If you don't a team or can't find one, respond to the below thread saying that you want to form a team with someone and I'll add you to the list of users looking for a teammate. https://www.vizzed.com/boards/thread.php?id=77195 |

Earn Cash = Sell me your Video Games
I've got a small budget to buy games if anyone is interested in selling games that they no longer need or use. I'll buy almost any game for any system. If it's a retro game that I don't own, I'll probably add it to my personal collection (since my ultimate goal is to have a copy of every game in the RGR) and if it's a more modern game or a game I already do own, I'll sell the game and put the profit toward the site.
Simply respond to this thread letting me know which games you're interested in selling to me. I'll buy the games from you for around 40% of what their worth in real money (and 60% of what their worth in Viz) and if it's a game in my wishlist, I'll give you 50% of what their worth (more info about that below). If you want just Viz, I can pay you in Viz (remember, US $1 = 1000 Viz). I can either pay you with Paypal or order something online for you. If my offer seems unfair, let me explain how it's actually a good deal. Most game stores and companies give you far less than that when you trade in your games, they usually only give you around 25% of what your games are worth. Also, there needs to be enough room for me to make a profit, especially considering there's various fees involve (amazon or ebay fees), getting the games professionally cleaned, shipping material fees, time and labor involved in testing the games, taking pictures of them, listing them for sale, shipping them up and taking them to the post office, etc. This is also a great opportunity to earn some money. If you see some cheap games at a local thrift shop (such as Goodwill or Salvation Army) or you find some games at a garage sale, buy them and resell them to me and you could profit it off of it if you get the cheap enough. You can find out what your games are worth by either using the Video Game Room or this handy tool: https://www.vizzed.com/priceguide/collection.php (You would save us both time if you added the games to your collection that you want to sell me) If you have any questions or comments, please ask in this thread: https://www.vizzed.com/boards/thread.php?id=77032 |
