This is an "Official" Vizzed tournament. As some of you know, I host a Tecmo Super Bowl tournament every fall which contains a current NFL roster. Unlike the last Vizzed Tournament (which will be headed to the final round in a few weeks), this tournament will not involve teams.

This tournament will last for 20 weeks. The first 4 games will determine who advances into the regular games (I use this to weed out those who don't participate). The next 12 games are regular games and will be used to determine who goes to the elimination rounds. The last 4 games are the elimination rounds and the last round of course is the final game. The idea is to have this tournament last as long as the NFL season, so it'll begin at around the same time and end at around the same time. Tecmo Super Bowl tournaments are held every year and they last longer than any other tournament that I host.

We'll be playing a 2014-2015 roster update of Tecmo Super Bowl. The hack hasn't been added to the site yet since it's still being worked on but it'll be ready before the tournament begins next week.


Requirements:
-You must live in the United States (unless you have had very little lag problems playing netplay with USA users)
-The RGR Plugin must work fine on your computer, especially for Nintendo NES games

1st = 100,000 Viz
2nd = 50,000 Viz
3rd = 25,000 Viz


Team Entry Fee: 5,000 Viz

Rebate: 4,000 Viz
If you participate throughout the entire competition, you will get 4000 of that Viz refunded. If you drop out or fail to participate, you will not get your 4000 Viz back and you will be added to the ban list.


Signup ends and Tournament begins on Thursday, September 4th.

I'd like to enter though I do live in Sweden I'm also in the summer netplay tournament and haven't had any major problems with playing on the U.S servers.

Also if I understand this correctly each person is competing on their own?

Forest Dragon : I would assume so considering he said the rgr plugin should work fine especially for nes games.

Forest Dragon : It's a mod/hack of Tecmo Super Bowl for the NES that Tecmobowl.org does every year with updated rosters for that year.

Although the game overall plays similar to the original there are differences each year with regards to teams strengths/weaknesses.

I'm actually kinda bummed. A few of the guys we could always count on to play week in and week out and be competitive haven't been active on the site in awhile. Hopefully we can get some new active blood in here to fill their space. I know Omally will, but I wish that boomer at least was back and active.

And is there a maximum number of people you are taking David for the first 4 weeks, or is that what the first 4 weeks are for? To get it down to a set number? 

Also, I talked to MattyIce on Facebook. He said is NetPlay is iffy, but that he would think about it.

Im in, but would it be ok if I skip the preseason matches? I ask this because Ive hurt my hand and I think it will be in much better condition next week. I also have more stable internet now. It was fixed the exact day I was eliminated from the bomberman tournament, which was such a shame.

bobq : Yeah me and him always went head to head and could flip a coin as to whom might win most games. Always great competition. He will be missed this tourney.
