This month's Speed Run competition is for 'Thunder & Lightning' for the Nintendo NES. You can play it here:

The point of this competition is to beat the game as fast as you can. Every year in August we have a high score competition for this game, this is the first time we're having a speed run competition for this game.


Since the Vizzed YouTube channel doesn't currently support videos longer than 15 minutes, for this competition you can upload your video to your own YouTube account or you can split your video into 15 minute parts and upload those to the Vizzed YouTube account.


VIDEO REQUIRED: You must post a video of yourself accomplishing the score you submit. You must use the RGR Plugin's built in video recording capabilities.

RULES: You MUST play the game using the RGR Plugin in 'Timetrial Mode' and take a screenshot of the ending screen by pressing F6 when you've completed the game. To play in 'Timetrial Mode', scroll down the page where it shows the Speed Runs, you'll see a link that says 'Click Here to Compete for Speed Run', click that. Once you've taken your screenshot, click the link near that one that says 'Click Here to Submit your Speed Run' to submit your speed run.

You cannot cheat or use glitches of any sort.


Prizes:
1st = 10,000 Viz

3rd = 1,000 Viz

I just thought I'd mention that you forgot to edit your script of the rules, since for this competition, we can split the video into 15 minute parts.  

By the way, I really like that you swapped the competition styles for these two games. What a fun idea.   I wish I had time to give it a shot.

I don't think anyone will ever beat this game, I just attempted it and it's incredibly hard, probably among the top hardest NES games. I had to use save states just to beat it and even that was hard to do.

Farthest I could get was level 28. Level 30 is one of the easiest levels in the game, so it sucks that I died one level short of that point. Just don't have the time to practice this game enough to beat it consistently. A drawback of living an hour away from where I work
