On Wednesday, 12/23/2015, from 5 - 7 PM (central time zone), I'll be hosting a Christmas themed stream which will involve rating submissions to the Christmas Music Competition, Mario Paint Christmas 2 Competition, and Christmas Minecraft Competition.

I will be hosting this event on my Twitch channel and I'll be giving away a total of 200,000 Viz and $200 worth of Steam Games to random viewers of the stream so the longer you stick around and vote, the better your chances of walking away with a cash prize. To qualify for the raffles, all you have to do is vote on the submissions of the various Christmas competitions. You can find a list of selectable steam games here:
https://www.vizzed.com/boards/thread.php?id=91602

If you can't stick around for the entire thing that's fine but it'd be cool if you could stop by and hang out in the chat for however long you can. It's usually a lot of fun chatting with vizzed users, talking about video games and listening to awesome video game music.

My twitch channel can be found here:

If you have any questions or comments, please post here:

The netplay lobby and the chat rooms are back up. Due to the server migration I did recently (which you can read about here), it resulted into the chat room having to start over again and me having to set it up again.

It needs a lot of configuring and it also needs staff to be assigned as mods. Globals and Admins should PM me the password they'd like to use so that I can set them up their accounts.

The Minecraft server has been working with the IP Vizzed.co for the past few days now but I figured I'd mention it for those who didn't know it was back up and running.

Most other site services should be functioning properly again but if not, please be sure to let me know right away in this thread:

Win $75 in Vizzed Minecraft Competition
The Autumn Minecraft Competition has barely any submissions so far so there's still a huge opportunity for users to walk away with cash prizes by creating anything Christmas themed on the Vizzed Minecraft Server. The competition ends on December 23rd and has a $75, $25 and $10 cash prize. More information can be found here:
https://www.vizzed.com/boards/thread.php?id=90649

NOTE: The MC server has been down for the past few days but is back up under the IP of 162.214.2.210. You'll be able to get on using the IP Vizzed.co within the next few days but for the time being, log on to the server using 162.214.2.210.

The site has only received $40 worth of donations over the past 30 days and that's the small donation amount in a 30 day period the site has ever received in the past 3+ years. Without donations, the site has no ability to expand in ways that I'd like and that also leaves me with no budget to get RGR Plugin updates.

Thanks to everyone's donations from a few months ago, we were able to get Google Chrome support added to the RGR Plugin in version 2.40. Thanks to tom760's willingness to do some work for me for free on the plugin, we were able to get Windows XP support added in version 2.41. Even if you can only donate $10, every little bit helps out and if enough users donate small amounts, it adds up.

What RGR Plugin Features Do You Want?
To help me prioritize what should be added next, please vote in the poll in this thread (multi-voting is enabled) and also feel free to respond with any feedback.

Benefits of Donating
-Access to PlayStation games with the PlayStation item for 50,000 Viz
-Access to beta systems with the Beta Test Ticket for 10,000 Viz
-Faster game downloads with the Game Accelerator for 15,000 Viz
-And many other features obtainable from the site's Item Shop

Donate to Help Fund New Updates!
Getting updates added to the RGR Plugin is not cheap for me. I've invested around $25,000+ into the RGR Plugin over the course of over 4 years. The site is struggling pretty bad financially at the moment so if you'd like to help us get new features added then please consider donating! Every little bit helps, whether it be $10 or $100, donate whatever you can whenever you can. Not only will your donations help us get new features but you'll also receive lots of site benefits as well (such as access to more games, access to more systems, faster download speeds, etc).

If you're interested in donating toward the RGR Plugin, go here:
https://www.vizzed.com/boards/donations.php

If you can't afford to donate money, you can donate games as seen here:
https://www.vizzed.com/boards/thread.php?id=58552

Or if you can't donate anything, you can help out in other ways as seen here:
https://www.vizzed.com/boards/thread.php?id=78350

Breakdown of all the possible new features if we get enough donations

More Systems to support Video Recording
Most of the game systems on vizzed allow you to press a single button and record your gameplay but not every system support it. N64, Sega CD and a few others don't currently support it.

Ability to have 2 plugin instances at the same time
This would allow you to have 2 instances of the RGR Plugin open at the same time. Now it would require a fast computer to have 2 instances open at the same time but this would basically allow you and another user to see eachother's games. You'd be playing in your game in your instance and you'd be able to see their game in their instance. This would be great for if you want to play through a single player game with someone else, show someone how to do something or race each other to see who can beat the game the fastest in real time.

Add DOS Games
This would allow us to add those old PC games known as DOS games. So basically most PC games released between 1981 and 1995 (and some between 1995-2000) would be capable of being added to the site.

Upgraded Plugin Architecture for External System Loading
This Plugin architecture upgrade would allow the plugin to load systems on demand. This would allow the plugin to be only 1 MB and basically each time you play a system for the first time, that systems files would download when you go to play that game. The huge benefit to this would be that it'd allow us to update systems without having to need another plugin upgrade since it'd simply re-download the system when it gets updated.

More Systems
What additional systems would you like to see added?

If you have any questions or feedback or want to vote on which features you'd like to see added to the RGR Plugin, go here:
https://www.vizzed.com/boards/thread.php?id=87980

This is a surprise feature I've been working on for the past few weeks that I've only told a few users about and it's already mostly finished! Vizzed finally has video game music!
https://www.vizzed.com/videogames/music.php

For the time being there's only Super Nintendo songs but I do plan to continue adding more systems over the course of a few months and I may even open up a staff application asking for users to help out.

If you want to view a soundtrack for a single game, every game that has a soundtrack available will have a link to the soundtrack from its game page in both the RGR and VGR.

Here are some features that I've added so far:
-Ability to rate songs (earn 50 Viz & 0.5 CP per a song)
-Ability to create playlists (250-500 Viz & 2.5 CP - 5 when rated)
-Ability to rate playlists (earn 100 Viz & 1 CP)
-Plenty of stats
-Lots of search and filter features
-Ability to playlist page look from 'Edit Page' link (this is in beta so be careful)
-Player itself has lots of features like shuffle, loop, search within, etc
-The feature works great on mobile devices like tablets and cell phones

Features I plan to add in the near future:
-More searching and navigation features
-Ability to delete playlists and songs from playlists
-Ability to see what songs you rated
-Ability to comment on songs
-Playlist editing features including:
--Ability to manually sort the songs
--Ability to have songs ordered based on name, rating, length, etc
--Ability to change how the music player functions and looks on your playlist page
--Ability to rename your playlist

Earn up to 50,000 Viz
I need as many good songs rated as possible so that users can find highly rated songs making it easier to find great songs. I'm willing to pay out lots of Viz to users who rate songs that they like. You can either go through random songs seeing what you like, look up songs that you know you like or do research on the internet to find highly rated songs and then find those songs in this feature and rate them. However you go about this, DO NOT RATE RANDOM SONGS without knowing what they sound like. The last thing I want is for users to go through and mess up the rating system by just picking random songs and giving them a random rating. Only songs that you rate a 4 or 5 will count. I will be looking through the songs you all rate to make sure you didn't pick random songs!

Here's how much Viz I'll give you guys based on how many songs you rate:
+25 Songs = 5,000 Viz
+50 Songs = 15,000 Viz
+100 Songs = 50,000 Viz

Once you've rated enough songs to qualify you for Viz, be sure to let me know in the below thread and I'll send you the Viz. Keep in mind that you'll also be automatically earning CP and Viz when you rate these songs so you'll be getting my bonus Viz on top of the regular Viz.

The report abuse function has been renamed to report post. The function itself has not changed but hopefully the name change will make it more obvious as to its use.

Happy 11 Year Anniversary & 2015 Vizzed Awards
As of Today, 12-06-15, the current Vizzed Board is 11 years old!

This has been a big year on Vizzed. We got RGR Plugin updates for the first time in a few years which added Dreamcast support, MAME netplay support, TAS features and more. Most of the RGR games had a huge Viz price drop, especially the larger CD games. I did a complete overhaul of the entire site and began migrating many portions of the site to the new code (still working on that). I added some new forums to the site for the first time in many years which includes an Information forum and a News and Current Events forum with 4 more forums planned to be added within the next 1-2 weeks. I began expanding the site with a Video Game Music feature which I'm just announcing for the first time here (about half way finished). Lots of other features took place over the past year which you can read about in the News and Updates forum.

You can find the awards and additional anniversary information here:
https://www.vizzed.com/boards/thread.php?id=91346

Do you like Christmas? Do you like creating post layouts? Then join the first ever Christmas Layout Competition for a chance to win 100,000 Viz! There's also plenty of Viz for 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th place as well. Be sure to check it out here:

Chat Rooms Back Up
The Chat Rooms are back up which also includes the netplay lobby. Unfortunately I was unable to transfer the files from the old server to the new server for some reason. I invested a few hours into this with no luck. This basically means that all of the chat room settings have been reset and all user chat room stats have been reset. The accumulated chat room minutes on your profile are still the same.

The staff are in the process of trying to get the chat room back to how it was. We'll be trying to adjust the settings to match the old settings over the next few days and we'll also be adding back some of the old rooms. The chat room may run better now and be more stable.

Vizzed Minecraft Server Back Up
The Vizzed Minecraft Server is up and running again. Nothing was lost and the server should definitely be faster and more stable (of course your own computer's performance ultimately determines how well it runs).

I've also launched the Autumn Minecraft Competition which is Christmas themed so be sure to take a look at that for a chance at some nice prizes: https://www.vizzed.com/boards/thread.php?id=90649

File downloads for non-CD games and some CD games should be faster over the next few days. I'm not sure whether this will be a permanent change or not but most likely these speeds will only be temporary (and eventually exclusive to staff members and users with the download accelerator).

I've still got a few more things to take care of but I'll be taking care of those things later this week. Those additional things include adding and removing netplay servers, fixing various things that need to be fixed due to the transfer and adjusting how and where the files are retrieved.

If you have any questions or feedback, please go here:
https://www.vizzed.com/boards/thread.php?id=90494

All CD games should now work! PC-FX, Turbo Grafx CD, CDi and Sega CD were transferred and made available again sometime yesterday. The transferring of Sega Saturn took place around 36 hours ago and was just made live now. PlayStation was made available again a few days ago which I posted an announcement about already.

The Vizzed Minecraft Server, Chat Rooms and a few other services will most likely be available tomorrow. The migration of those services takes some custom configuration which can be a little time consuming. The Minecraft Server files have all been transferred and extracted but for some reason I still can't get it to work; I'll continue looking into the issue tomorrow and will hopefully have it working again.

Over the next few days I'll also be making some adjustments to how the Game Accelerator item works. I'll also be adding 1 or 2 new netplay servers and taking down 1 or 2 of the current (hopefully the new ones run better).

Thanks again for everyone's patience and please be sure to take a look at my previous announcements if you haven't already. If you have any questions or feedback, please post it here:
https://www.vizzed.com/boards/thread.php?id=90494

PlayStation games are finished transferring and are available to be played again! Well technically some of the games have been available for a while since the games have been transferring for the past few days but they're basically almost all finished transferring now.

The transferring of the other CD games will begin tonight and will probably take until Sunday to finish transferring. The next CD system that I'll be working on will probably be the Sega Saturn so you can probably expect them to become available again Saturday night.

The main Chat Rooms are still down (including the Netplay Lobby chat) but I'll hopefully get them back up over the next 2-3 days. The Vizzed Minecraft server is still down since I'm having troubles transferring it over to the new server due to the size. There are probably a few other lesser known services that I'm forgetting to mention that are still down but I'll be sure to let everyone know as I get each down service back up.

Again, I apologize for all of the inconveniences lately and as a way to make it up to everyone, PlayStation games will be available to everyone for 0 Viz for the rest of the month. For more information on that, go here:
https://www.vizzed.com/boards/thread.php?id=90586
