Hello everyone!

Today there’s a new competition starting. A post layout making competition with Christmas as theme. Every layout counts as long as it is Christmas themed in some way. Everyone is allowed to participate!

Thank David for the great idea of having a Christmas themed layout competition. It’s a fact that many users switch their layouts for Christmas. So why not a competition? That’s why I created this thread.

~The rules~

- Follow every Vizzed rule.
- Up to 3 layout submissions per a user.
- Only recently made layouts are counted.
- Your layout must have Christmas as theme. If not, then it won’t count!

How do I enter this competition?
That’s simple. You only need to post with your Christmas themed layout in this thread.

~The prizes~

1st = 100,000 Viz!
2nd = 50,000 Viz!
3rd = 25,000 Viz!
4th = 15,000 Viz!
5th = 10,000 Viz!

Start competition:
Now!

End competition:
December the 20th.

When the competition ends, the competition thread changes into a voting thread. Everyone is allowed to vote. The rules for voting will be explained on the 21st. The results of the voting will be posted on the 25th of December.

Tips from Mudkip:
Use your head for once and be creative! Make something unique!

If you make layouts, get this contest started! Hopefully everyone that knows how to make layouts enters. :3

Vanelan : I might participate, but I've never been the artistic type. I'm more into doing the judging and watnot. But who knows, I may be feeling extra festive and will come up with something. Just depends on how much free time I have before now and then.

Since I already made my Christmas layout for this year, uhh, here it is I guess. Will probably make another entry or two later on.

Davideo7 : I definitely want to see what you would submit. :3
Unfortunately, I haven't had the time to really become proficient with CSS to make a good enough layout to compete...otherwise I would submit one as well. ^^;
I have ~20 days though...so who knows what can happen in that time. ^_-

Chindogu : I dunno if that counts since you made it before the contest.

TornadoMudkip : What do you think? Should that count?

Eh, might as well enter this with the layout I'm using this month. I'm not that great at layouts so I doubt I'll get a high score but now people can have an idea of what they'll need to beat in order to win 100k Viz. Early entries might also encourage others to submit their layouts and I want this competition to be a success

Guess I'll bite. I'll try to enter more designs, but for now, I'm using entry #1. It's best for those who like simple designs.

I'm going to submit my first entry from the wonderful world of Walfas.  A worthy design indeed.

Vanelan : I don't have many problems with it. There are some users who made their Christmas layouts before the competition started. It would be a little unfair not to count them. Also I am pretty sure that there will be more users entering with layouts they made before the contest started (without telling about it in their post). So yeah.. We can't check when someone creates a layout.

Some nice looking layouts already in my opinion. I can't wait to see more of these beautiful layouts!

Chindogu : After some discussion, I think Mudkip and I have decided your layout can't be counted since you made and have been using it over a month ago...
And honestly, I am not so sure it really is Christmas themed...

This post should be a better fit for the page on normal monitors, I just have a really wide monitor, so all other layouts looked too stretched. On the one about, it was way too tall (650 pixels tall) This one is a lot shorter (at 575 pixels) so hopefully it will be a better fit for other views. 

Hello. This is my layout submission.

Be sure to check out the music as it is very festive, almost as festive as this layout.

Vanelan : Makes sense, heres my first submission for this contest thingy then. No one said I couldn't use last years desktop wallpaper...

Chindogu : Nope, no rule against that. You can use any desktop background you wish...of course as long as it adheres to vizzed rules. ^^;
