What RGR Plugin Features Do You Want?
The plugin developer is willing to work on the plugin for a little while longer but his time with the plugin is running out so if we're going to get any more updates, it needs to be soon and needs to be funded ASAP. Breakdown of all the possible new features if we get enough donations

More Systems to support Video Recording
Most of the game systems on vizzed allow you to press a single button and record your gameplay but not every system support it. N64, Sega CD and a few others don't currently support it.

Ability to have 2 plugin instances at the same time
This would allow you to have 2 instances of the RGR Plugin open at the same time. Now it would require a fast computer to have 2 instances open at the same time but this would basically allow you and another user to see eachother's games. You'd be playing in your game in your instance and you'd be able to see their game in their instance. This would be great for if you want to play through a single player game with someone else, show someone how to do something or race each other to see who can beat the game the fastest in real time.

Add DOS Games
This would allow us to add those old PC games known as DOS games. So basically most PC games released between 1981 and 1995 (and some between 1995-2000) would be capable of being added to the site.

Upgraded Plugin Architecture for External System Loading
This Plugin architecture upgrade would allow the plugin to load systems on demand. This would allow the plugin to be only 1 MB and basically each time you play a system for the first time, that systems files would download when you go to play that game. The huge benefit to this would be that it'd allow us to update systems without having to need another plugin upgrade since it'd simply re-download the system when it gets updated.

Google Chrome Support
Google Chrome is slowly moving away from NPAPI plugins (and doesn't support it with the default settings) which is the type of plugin the RGR Plugin is. While it is possible to make the RGR Plugin work in Google Chrome as seen here, the upcoming September update to Google Chrome will eliminate NPAPI plugins completely. The solution is to have the plugin upgraded to PPAPI but that is a difficult upgrade to do which would be time consuming and would ultimately cost me a lot of money. In order to make this possible, I'd need at least $500 worth of donations.

I'm in for upgrading the plugin architecture. I think it's the best update it could have, seeing how many versions of the plugin have been launched since Tom said he would be working on it last January, this new architecture will make things a lot easier.

As a Google Chrome user, I'm also in for supporting this browser. Sometimes I've used Firefox too, but the design is too zoomed in compared to Chrome. I can still go with Firefox to play RGR games and Chrome only to post, but if there's the slightest chance I can keep using Chrome for both I'll vouch for it.

EX Palen : Yeah the new plugin architecture not only would make it so that users would no longer need to upgrade their plugin but it'd also decrease the time it'd take to add new features and systems to the plugin. It'd also greatly decrease the chances of new problems being introduced (which tends to happen with each new release).

The Google Chrome support is a big deal, especially since 46% of the site's viewers use Google Chrome and only 13% use Firefox. Out of all the things I listed, the Google Chrome support is the highest priority and is one that I'd really like to get the funding for because I fear we're losing a lot of traffic due to our lack of Google Chrome support.

   Google Chrome support is the first thing I'd like to see happen. Like you mentioned, with how many people use Chrome to access Vizzed, it's very important that Chome works with the RGR plugin. But another thing that came up in what I believe was a Mother 3 thread was the ability to turn off Frame skipping. I can't be sure which systems have this feature turned on, but to me it seems that at least VBA games run at a lower framerate than Mednafen. Games like Pokémon may not really need this, but something that requires rythme could use those extra frames. Plus, emulators running the game slower than they should just because of the emulator settings in my opinion, just shouldn't happen.

patar4097 : You might actually be able to make that adjustment yourself.

On your computer, go to this directory:
C:ProgramDataVizzedVizzedRgrPluginUser-#VBA
(be sure to replace # with your vizzed user id number)

From there, open up the vba-over.ini file (be sure you don't have the plugin open).

Directly underneath the [preferences] line, place this line in:
frameSkip=0

Let me know if that helped.

Here I am again, saying that DOS games would be a good addition to the RGR.

Davideo7 : For some reason, every time I open up the VBA emulator to see if it works, it will not. So, I go back to see if I put the FrameSkip=0 line, but it's now gone, even though I've saved it, and gone back to the .ini to see if it was just not saving. It seems that it's getting erased every time I open the plugin. Thinking again, I guess for me it isn't that big of a deal, because Mednafen is just a lot better for me, but still odd.

patar4097 : Ok try this instead:

Open up the vba.ini file and find the line that says frameSkip=2 (it's line 16 for me) and change that 2 to 0.

Davideo7 : Yup, I tried that out, and it's working fine now. Thanks! I went into that file as well, just didn't look very well, I guess, because I didn't see the frameskip line at first.

Was wondering if it would be possible or practical to work windows 95-98 games into the emulator? They arent DOS games. Example would be Star Trek Armada

Davideo7 : Perhaps a Volume Button to turn the games sound down without having to turn down the computer volume I streamed Pokémon Emerald today and no one could hear my voice no matter how low I put it so a Volume controller would be nice so people can hear my voice when I stream.

I'd like to see the 3DO be added if that's at all possible. There's a bunch of weird games available for it (the 90s were a weird time - CD-ROMs go mainstream and suddenly every game company's a filmmaker). But if you're considering adding DOS games I'd like you to do that first.

I want DosBox added and maybe older pc games availible for download like Elderscrolls marrowind 

I want that Vizzed add DOS games and more system games.

I'd like to see N64 games support video recording more than anything else at this point. I guess I'd also like to see N64 DD games be added to the RGR if that's at all possible.

I kinda want a rewind function.

I was thinking that it would be cool to have Gamecube games. Would that be too recent for the Retro Game Room? Just thought it was worth mentioning.

Here are the additions that I really feel like are needed.

Updated Support for N64 emulation AS WELL AS Netplay. Tons of users want to play these games via netplay, but are basically unable to do so. Updating the emulators used for N64 would really help this issue.

As a quick side note, GBA netplay would be a huge hit as well.

The second would be Google Chrome support. Being as it's one of the most popular web browsers used, I think this is very important. I personally don't want to have to use a separate browser just to play games on Vizzed.

Google Chrome support because I was pretty pissed at Google disabling NPAPI. I mean, seriously. Java runs on NPAPI.


Also, Gamecube and DS pl0x Nah JK. I know that's not gonna happen and I know why. But Vectrex would be kinda cool.
And if you can find a way to add e-Reader (GBA) ROMs, that would be cool.
Plus those 2 instances and More recording things sound cool, I can finally stop using Bandicam for recording N64 games.

I think it would be cool if you could add PSP, N64DD and 3DO games to the RGR.
