I'll be doing another server transfer over the next few days which will result into a few services being down for part of or most of that time. This includes:
-United States W2 Netplay Server (it'll be completely replaced)
-Minecraft Server
-Chat Server (both the netplay lobby and chat rooms)

Game downloads shouldn't be affected by this transfer and no other services should be affected.

I'm doing another server transfer because Hostgator had an insane deal on Dedicated Servers during Cyber Monday. They were offering 80% off of servers for new servers but since this didn't apply to renewals, I had to get 2 new servers to replace 2 of my current servers. Here's the best part though, the offer allowed customers to buy as many months worth as they want so I purchased 12 months worth for each server which means I basically saved literally $1000s on those 2 servers! I didn't have the money to buy those servers so I had to charge them to a credit card but it was definitely worth it due to the crazy savings. My other 2 servers with Hostgator I wasn't able to do this with since doing a server transfer with them would be such a big task and would result into so much down time that saving $1000s wouldn't even have been worth it for those 2 servers.

Glad to hear about the cost savings. While it might be tough right now in the long run the cash you'll save should be a big help.

And I think we can all survive a few days without some stuff if it means you get to save money like this.

This is pretty cool not only that it helps to improve vizzed in a way. So many new things that are happening on the site new good things for the better. Things like this has to happen or the site will never progress in a way right? ^^

As for myself, I've never been to Minecraft, I don't netplay because of distance issues and I've detached myself from the chat room because it didn't allow me to focus on my writing. So, basically speaking, I won't feel any difference.

Since the chat is transferring servers again, will we have to deal with the "I had my account reset" threads and PMs, and more importantly, chat bans? It has been a pain to deal with last time, I hope it doesn't happen again this soon.

Yay, I'm probably going to lose all my chat credits again.


I haven't even been able to get on the Minecraft server in the first place since the last update, is there a new address or something?

That's great news! 

This actually couldn't come at a better time for me. My mouse basically died so I can't really do anything productive on the minecraft server anyway until I get a new one.

zanderlex : As far as I'm aware the address is still the same. I was able to get on the server with the vizzed.co address like a week ago. Are you sure that you're using 1.8?

Furret : I tried all the different versions, from 1.7 all the way up to windows 10, I tried saving the address over and over and direct connecting a dozen times.

Davideo7 : This is so awesome!! I'm excited that you were able to save so much money of server costs for the site! Now if we can start picking up on the donation side, we can really start adding some great features to the site!

I'm also going to be excited that all servers will now be on Hostgator. Should help bigtime.

It seems like a lot of this stuff is back up and running. I know the Minecraft server is back and I was able to get on chat last night as well.

Is netplay working as well or is that not done transferring....
