Okay, so there are a lot of famous people in our world. For example, Justin Timberlake with making modern music, J.K. Rowling with writing the Harry Potter books and Pewdiepie with uploading gaming video's on YouTube. But did you ever thought about how it feels like to be so popular? I think you already thought about that so i'm not going to ask further about that. However, what if YOU found a job or hobby that made you popular enough to be known in the entire country? Would you take the chance to be popular and why or why not?

I would say it's hard to say for me what i would like, though. I would like to be popular, but on the other side: I'm too lazy for hard work. So keeping my 'fame' up isn't easy for me. So... I would say yes?

I would much rather be wealthy than famous, Simply because fame does not guarantee food on the table so to speak... 

I'd much prefer to just live my normal life without the fuss of having to deal with other people trying to intrude into my personal life.. but meh...

While I agree than being wealthier is better than famous, I'm not really sure I would want to be any of them. Your private life is at risk of being stalked if you're famous, and living a calm life is one of my goals. I prefer that nobody cares about how I have my coffee rather than having to "hide" myself so as to really live my life.

I'm also quite impatient, which can lead to fits of rage if enough people is messing around with me, so I'd probably be famous for punching paparazzis Not something I would like to be famous for, honestly. I prefer to be known within my group of friends and acquaintances rather than acclaimed by the world at large so I can be myself without major consequences.

Simply put no. Fame can be both for good and bad things, either way with it will come a lot of unwanted attention people trying to intrude into every inch of my personal life. It's a life that probably wouldn't suit me considering I very much enjoy having my own personal space and I wouldn't want to be in the spotlight nonstop. I don't really see how it would help one feel important considering some people get famous for the most stupid of reasons. Maybe if it was a smaller sort of famous.

I would not want to be famous. At least not the type of famous people are talking about in this thread.

I wouldn't mind being "small town" famous or something like that. Something where being recognized doesn't happen no matter where you go or who you run in to. Some sort of niche famous would be okay.

It's been everyone's childhood dream to be famous and rich at one point (don't deny it), and I never really grew out of that, especially when I got onto my high school's soccer team in 9th grade when I was 14. But only if it's positive, like a pro athlete or being a nice guy. If it was negative, like for being stupid or robbing a kindergarten of its candy, then no, that'd be something I and probably everyone else would hate.

So, basically: Only if people know me for being a good person and someone people would want to be around.

I've been thinking about this recently, actually. While I think it'd be awesome to have an epic gaming channel like PewDiePie and be rich and famous like him, or create popular games like Fallout or Skyrim.

However, it could always be a bad thing to be famous.

-Conspiracies or death hoaxes
-Accusations

Nope for me. zlinqx and palen have stated what I would say. I like my happy private peaceful life. Being famous or wealthy in a way can ruin it. You will not be left alone when asked. And be followed everywhere to where you go which will just get you annoyed and upset. When famous or wealthy the paparazzi will do anything to squeeze information to get on you....and that I don't want to deal with.
