So this is something I've been wanting to talk about for a while and I figured now was a good time. I'm usually not one to so adamantly take a stance against something like a youtube channel but... There's this in my opinion outright crap channel that's been emerging over the past year on Youtube. Those who frequent the site regularly probably know about it already, DramaAlert. It is essentially a channel dedicated to reporting news about the youtube world. Essentially a channel gossiping about youtube celebrities. Now while that sounds innocent and harmless enough on it's own it really isn't.

They regularly accuse both big and small youtubers of extremely serious crimes like Rape and Pedophilia often times without really questioning or double checking sources. An example of that would be when they talked about an old man that was a pedophile and tried to attract children over video games and they took the wrong person. Leading to several people flaming an old man who just enjoyed streaming Runescape actually resulting in him crying on one of his own streams after people started telling him to kill himself. This was only remedied once another big youtuber called out Keemstar (the host) and DramaAlert on it. 

Other than that these allegations has caused many youtubers to have public meltdowns due to the attacks that follow from the often times rabid DramaAlert fanbase that don't question the show. Such as in the case of the youtuber Bashurverse. While you could argue that's not DramaAlert's fault (even though he made like 25 videos on it). Keemstar often openly encourages his fans to flame and attack people he talks about in videos so it kind of directly is. Not to mention he's the one persuading people to do this in the first place with his videos fully aware of what will follow but not caring. He's been actively contributing to making the gaming community a more toxic place even since before the rise of DramaAlert. Having attacked youtubers previously on other accounts but having been banned and being a well known troll within the gaming community. As if that wasn't enough he has on top of that also made many outright racist statements.

While this is just a really lazy and irritating way to make money off of people in general, it goes beyond that. It's ruining people's lives and creates a ton of drama on Youtube and what's even worse he's passing it off as doing some sort of social justice. The only reason it hasn't grown even faster is likely because several big youtubers including the biggest of them all (Pewdiepie) has started to speak out against him but that also results in his channel getting even more publicity.

What are your thoughts on this channel and its host? Do you support it, or do you like me hope for the eventual shutdown of the channel...

That's really sad to hear because that will well destroy a lot of people without him knowing. And it would like further embarrass people the wrong way. If that happens people would well stop what they usually do or fun on youtube. Or anywhere else for a matter fact. Why make something that will cause more chaos for people? It shouldn't even be made anyway its better of staying dead and not known. :/

I want to begin by, is keemstar is a scumbag? Yeah.

I find the channel disgusting for a few reasons.

1. The false accusations, jumping on anything just to get that youtube money.
2. The host.


Keemstar is a hypocrite and a liar.

His overall stupid rant about pyrocynical completely overreacting was a prime example.
I'm not gonna go back to his old video's because people make mistakes, but the fact is that he is still making mistakes regularly, and there are too many to talk about.

Now. Pewdiepie should also not have responded to this because he was hypocritical in his video.

He says that there should be no drama in the community, yet goes on to make a video that will obviously create drama. Plus he cops out by not naming dramaalert.

So yeah, Keemstar's a hypocrite and Pewdiepie's a hypocrite.

The funny thing is Half of his stuff is false information that he tries to upload,  one time he ended up being caught and had to fire one of his employee's that way.
He only apologized to save the remaining subs(aka the people who fund his pocket)

Remember the time he said he was gonna make Thrust Nation into a Cod Community channel? Well that never happened,    Thrust nation is completely gone too.



TL;DR

I don't believe anything that guy says, and neither should you.

Keemstar is a hack fraud. And the last thing youtube needs in the wake of the whole Leafy/H3H3 fiasco is more pointless eceleb drama that Keemstar more often than not makes up, or just regurgitates what other people make up.

Him and his channel are everything wrong, toxic, and cancerous to YouTube. He should be ashamed. And if YouTube was going to randomly shut down a channel with absolutely no word before or after, it deserves to be this guy.

Yet another reason why I hate the internet and youtube. People like this who make money and get attention by attacking other people makes me sick. And to top it off they encourage people to go and do even worse by attacking these people on their channels as if that is the best thing they could do.


This is why I stick to my handful of smaller channels and am very picky about what I subscribe to and watch. I hate crap like this guy.

I'm Killer Keemstar, lets get rooooooooooooiiiiiiiiiiiight into the news! Yuck, cant stand that guy, watched him back when he did trolling in halo 3, but looking back at those videos he isnt funny at all.

DramaAlert is basically the YouTube version of a tabloid like the National Enquirer. 
It's all click bait garbage with no talent "hosts" reporting rumors or outright lies just to get views.

These kinds of channels/"news outlets" are disgusting.

Yeah, but remember one thing: There is no such thing as bad publicity, as regardless of controversy, that person will gain massive amount of popularity, because, nowadays, news outlets want to entertain people for viewers.

Like zlinq mentioned, keemstar once made a 62 year old man cry because he once again got his facts wrong.

It all ended well in the end with the 62 year old streamer getting a lot of followers because of another youtube called scarce, but if it wasn't for scarce, I don't know if the twitch channel would still be up.

I only have one thing to say about this

I've never really watched him much, aside from the one thing with the Minecraft youtuber that actually WAS a pedophile. Never really supported him, and he doesn't really seem like the kind of guy I want to support, from what I've seen and heard. He tends to have a bad time taking criticism, and talks as though he's providing a great service to YouTube by making videos and pouncing on anything that looks even remotely like YouTube drama for cheap views.

NovemberJoy : Yeah that's the problem. While some individual cases might've lead to actual law breakers being caught the vast majority of the time these video cause far more damage than it fixes. Keemstar really only seems to be in it for the money so he probably doesn't care as long as the videos get him ad revenue.

As someone studying law (and hopefully working towards being a lawyer), I have to say that Keemstar really needs to get solid evidence before he accuses. I probably wouldn't mind half as much as I do, if he were to at least, say,  double check his sources. I say that he's either a terrible person on purpose, or he's just lazy in making sure the "facts" are the facts, and looking at how much money he makes, I'd say it's the former.

Damn, I'm glad that I'm not the only one. He's someone I discovered when he accused that old man of being a pedophile. The most stupid thing was that this allegation was based on him looking similar to a well known pedophile in the USA, but a quick google search showed that the actual pedophile is in prison right now. Keemstar removed the guy from his team, but the fact that he trusts his team enough to not even question claims and allegations like that show how he bad he is.

But nowadays people love drama on Youtube. I do too to be honest, I found it really amusing when Leafyishere and h3h3productions got in kind of a big fight about something stupid. But Keemstar often makes stuff like this worse, and he gets tons of views for it. He earns his money from other people their misery, that's sick. The only good thing other people have said about him, is that he's straightforward, but you can find so many haters that they outweigh the fans. 

imamonster : Dang, it's TMZ all over again. But what caused all this drama to reach such peaks? Let's take a look back at the Fine Bros trademark controversy. After the react world announcement, people reported that other reaction videos were being taken down (including #DramaAlert), and caused the drama to reach such peaks that it gave spawn to multitudes of rant videos and the #WTFU movement, raising the drama further up. So if you're wondering where all this drama reached such peaks, blame the Fine Bros for making #DramaAlert one of the most controversial channels.

Keemstar gives me all the diseases imaginable.

vaderzlk11 : Drama has always been around on Youtube and this isn't the first time drama has reached a massive peak. Remember Jessi Slaughter back in 2010. That was an interesting event. I would say though the fine bros controversy has caused more people to speak out more about the site and its awful fair use system that has been in place for a few years.
