When you first joined (and for some of you that might be awhile ago) - what did you think? Was there someone who stuck out to you? Did you make a wrong first impression of somebody?

I didn't think much of chat at first, but I assumed the wrong gender for a lot of people lol. The only person I remember sticking out in my mind is m0ss. I was surprised by how nice he was, and his willingness to help despite the fact I literally just joined that day or the day before.

plasticinsanity : I only started using chat in December of 2015, but have gone back almost every day since. I had a similar experience with moss. He was one of the only people to chat with me at the beginning and explained things that I didn't know or understand. At first, not many people talked to me, but after I became trusted, a lot more people have talked to me. It's a really fun way to get rid of stress, get your mind off of other things, and pass time in general.

My first impression was rather rough. I was muted by an abusive mod, and the person who flamed me got off free. I would have reported had I known how. But I came back to spite that person really.

But my second time there I was welcomed by a lot of really nice people, and made some friends that I still talk with today. And now I strive to be as welcoming to new people, as I was welcomed by people long ago.

I've spent so much time in there that I can hardly remember my first time in chat. Don't know who was all there at the time but I think I was hanging out with some of my old 'friends'.

I do know that I found chat very unorganized, with the user list on the right and the chatbox on the left. That just doesn't make sense to me and it made me pretty stressed while I was in there (might be some weird mental thing but idk)

As soon as I learned that you can change the position of the user list I became a lot more active. Now I love chat

I had frequented another video game website from 2007 to 2008 and they all treated me like complete garbage, so it was a refreshing change. I remember specific people, like my first friend and someone else who was particularly nice to me.

Overall I can GUARANTEE you that the chatroom is the reason I'm still here after almost 7 years, and I mean look at me now. I might have 10000 hours before the end of the year. Where did my life go honestly.

My first impression of chat was that it was fun and chill and crazy. That was probably because Aria was in chat when I first came into chat . Ever since then, I've been in chat pretty often except for a few times when I was inactive, and that one time chat became really inactive. That was bleh.

I've also met like half the people on my friend list because of chat, so there's that.

I stayed in there for about 10 hours a day for the entire week, and while at first I was like what even is going on in this chatroom, it was actually pretty cool to have a live chat with people I hadn't really seen around the boards.

After a while, the types of conversations we had in there actually got to be pretty normal between users, and I began to start to like it. Now I completely understand why those first few days of my chat experience were so wild, and pretty dang fun.

I love all of those chat people, and miss so many of them.
