What makes you  feel old?   Mine is  that I have been a member of this site for over 1000 days and feel that each time I log in is as exciting as my first!  David and his crew have made this home for me, in more ways than even he knows!  I have been a member for a while, but had to go back overseas without notice.  Since then there have been many changes to this site and my penmanship, but I am thrilled it is still here for me and I am able to post my thoughts upon it as well as play the games I grew up with.  Thank you for all that you do and your dedication, I hope you realize what it means to all us over seas and domestic as we all appreciate or time spent together now in and the future as we will look forward to our future together. Thank you, my old friend for having this to come back to!

I think about a lot of things from my past days on vizzed....and now thinking of the present time of how so many things have changed. People come and go friends come and go. vizzed changes as the years go by weather you like it or not. I still remember my first time on vizzed and with the chance to play sonic 2 games. That's when my adventure began of how I am now till this day....there are happy memories and there are also sad memories as well. The things that you had on the past you have to treasure them. And I am also grateful for David too for so many things. The hard work and the dedication for this site. And I feel he doesn't always get the thanks he deserves.

I think with me being a vivid poster and being a mod had made me stay around Vizzed for a little while and I have seen a lot of changes with the site with both the staffs and the layout of the site. I mostly started with playing games on the RGR to posting on the boards to helping David and being a mod to post-modding today, with all I have done on Vizzed, it does in fact make me quite old. It's either that or a syndrome called "Vizzed Aging" or something.

Things change overtime, especially going through staff roles.

Any social network or community can make you feel old. Facebook, for example, is reminding me of things I made five years ago that I nearly forgot about. Old as in old on Vizzed? Thinking about when I only used to go here to play games, when I first tried Pokemon Ruby or when I first started posting and knew no one here.

Well despite being fairly young, probably remembering stuff from when I used to go to middle school and below, first discovering anime, having a gamecube as my main gaming console, playing Runescape with friends, or when I used to collect Pokemon cards and play with others (except people didn't know English well enough so played using weird rules we made up) not really worrying about much in general. It feels so long ago despite that not being the case. Crazy how things change so quickly.

Oh man,you asked the wrong guy on this one. I would say everything. From your reflexes and your body is not as resilient as it used to be,to the music,to how idiotic kids act and my general lack of patience. But since this is a gamer site,I will try to keep it limited to gaming.

I started off gaming in the early 80's when every corner store and establishment would have an arcade game or two. Then I had an old Atari and it was awesome to play the games at home instead of looking for quarters. Sure,it was not arcade perfect,but it was a good start. Then the NES with the joypad and that made an interesting transition. Then the SNES,that was the beginning of near perfect arcade games,as well as a confusing as hell joypad with 6 freaking buttons. Then the PS with 8 buttons and the use of CD's and arcade conversions.

Something that really makes me feel old is looking around and seeing that I'm either the same age or older than most of the people that I looked up to when I was younger. I am over 13 years older than my younger cousins, and their cultural differences are SO different than mine! Even though I'm not that old myself, what makes me feel old is realising that in the place I live now kids playing outside is a rare occasion. I live on a side street and I remember back when I was 7 or so all the kids on the street would know each other and we would be outside causing mischief everyday. It didn't matter if you where 6 or 16 you would be included. Now adays I look outside and the street is dead silent, it's not that there aren't any kids on my street but they are locked up in there house playing videogames or on their phone. It's like that on most side streets that I pass by as well not just mine. Just remembering the days when all the kids from all the streets used to meet up and play manhunt or nicky nicky nine door makes me feel old.

I feel old that I remember pay phones and it used to be you could find them anywhere,now,good luck finding one. I guess one of the big signs that I am old that I remember having a Woolworth's (think Wal-Mart or Target and you have the general idea) in a neighboring town and the store had almost everything you needed or wanted. I liked it because it was like having the city come to you.

Vizzed.com is very expensive to keep alive! The Ads pay for the servers.

Vizzed has 3 TB worth of games and 1 TB worth of music.  This site is free to use but the ads barely pay for the monthly server fees.  If too many more people use ad block, the site cannot survive.

We prioritize the community over the site profits.  This is why we avoid using annoying (but high paying) ads like most other sites which include popups, obnoxious sounds and animations, malware, and other forms of intrusiveness.  We'll do our part to never resort to these types of ads, please do your part by helping support this site by adding Vizzed.com to your ad blocking whitelist.
