I recently joined Reddit to see the posts on there when im very bored but it seems many posts are raided by trolls who try to be funny and crave the attention mommy and daddy doesnt give them at home. Some trolls are funny but come on most of em are not clever and just plain annoying but, it also seems the people on Reddit are a-holes just for the sake of being one. I dont know i must be rambling but it was on my mind and it seems that i see this crap all over reddit and it baffles me how people enjoy this site.

TristanTehGamer1 : Reddit is full of baloney, that's for sure.  As a frequent user of it, I've come to realize it's a gem covered by a lot of crap.  You have to wipe away the crap to see the gem inside.  I like the good it brings, but I've also seen bad enter my life because of my use of it.  I have learned things that at times I wish I could unlearn.  I have seen things that shouldn't be shown.  But I've also gained a lot of experience, and that I don't regret.  I recommend you limit the subreddits you're subscribed to to things that are uplifting or useful.  I wasted a lot of time on /r/gaming in my earlier days, and made some comments I wish I could take back.  Reddit can cause cancer, but there is good in it, I promise.  Be careful.

Edit: We'd love to see you on /r/ExplainLikeImCalvin.  It's a subreddit for those who wish to explain things and have things explained like Calvin's Dad.  It's among the best of Reddit.

Reddit is like just about any other place on the internet. It has good and it has REALLY bad. Just need to be careful what you waste your time with there just like any other site.

I personally avoid reddit because I think it is a pretty big waste of time overall and only go there if I get linked to something specific.

Wow good thing I never went there in the first place. It may seem to be a website that would only break people. Even if there is some good in it. I would rather stay away from the site. Fun fact: /r/furry (a sub which I frequent) does an amazing job of filtering out the problem users, despite having over 20.000 subscribers and hundreds of posts a day. Even /r/movies does a good job of filtering out the problem users when you consider how many people post in it in a single hour.
And believe me... Reddit is nowhere near as bad as the global channel in TERAs Mount Tyrannes server. Last time I was on one of the popular users was named "ThePornographer." That should give you an idea of how bad the /global chat was.

Trolls are all over the internet. Have you ever read the comment section of a major story on facebook, or the replies on twitter to popular tweets? Same thing, if not worse. Youtube? Youtube is full of trolls going crazy on peoples videos. The anonymous nature of the internet allows childish people to start crap without fear of any real repercussions.

For those of us old enough, we recon back to a time where AOL had "police" in chat rooms that would basically ban you from using their service (and thus the internet) in it's entirety for swearing and other bad behavior. We are sure a far cry from those days lol
