Life has been hard lately. Recently, two of my classmates, Riley and Kailey has planned a "PARTY" celebrating us 5th graders graduating to Middle School. MOST people got invitations EXCEPT me. I do  not know why. My best friend Dane said that he was told the list who weren't invited, and I was on the list...What do I do? Me, not being invited to a celebration party?! There will be a bonfire, s'mores, food, games/sports...AND MORE! I wish I could go, a little sad and depressed right now...

Well, you could always pop on the One Ring and become invisible...OK OK joking aside, I'm sorry for your predicament.  It can be hard being excluded from something your close friends are going to.  Have you tried talking it out?  You could tell the people in charge how you feel.  They might insult you or name-call or whatever, I don't know, but you'll have the satisfaction that you gave them a chance to explain in a good way.

Sauron422416 : That sucks, man. Why wouldn't they invite you? Your classmates need a valuable reason why. If I were them, I would invite every single 5th graders, whether I hate them or not. Talk to your friends, and ask them why they didn't invite you.

I can feel you, man. Why would your friends turn their backs to you? Anyway, if you have more information, I recommend sharing them!

Why would you be sad and depressed about something this small? Trust me, you don't know what depressed is until you're a bit older.

It's just a stupid party, don't worry about it, mate. I have had this happen numerous times, and I was also dissapointed a few times, but then I realised, it's just a stupid party, mate.

Welcome to my life. I haven't been invited to anything since 4th grade. Fun.
It's no big deal. Just ignore it. Life goes on. You're pissed, so let them know it.

   Yesterday, I asked Kailey if I could come to the Bonfire party...here is what she said:
Me: "Can I come to the Bonfire party?"
Kailey: "No."
Me: "Why not?"
Kailey: "No..."
Me: "Come on..."
Kailey: "Fine, I was just kidding!" *chuckles*
  My thoughts? Either she was getting annoyed I kept on asking so she just said: "I'm just kidding!" or maybe she forgot to invite me or it was a prank  all along...
  Dane said that I was on the list of people who would not be invited to the celebration (Dane was told the list and is not the host, he wants me to come), some people on the list were annoying and boring classmates or people who did not really do anything that much. Actually, I think I do not care anymore...some people like Nathan and Dane and others can't go because they have things to do over the summer. Some have Baseball tournaments and games, some are on vacation somewhere out of town or state, some may not come because he may be the only boy in the party (Kailey and Riley are girls). But I will get some more information about me not getting an invitation and I will tell you if they ever give me a "late" invitation...

Sauron422416 : Something similar happened to me, one of my friends were planning a birthday party and then I never found out about the party until I was taking a walk outside to take the trash out then I saw all of our friends there, I went over to ask what was going on He said it was his birthday party, I asked if I can go and he said "I'm not inviting you because you didn't give me the Pikachu card" -face palms-

Anyways my advice is never worry about the people that don't invite you to stuff......I'm not that good at advice...

Not everyone people know gets invited to parties usually. They might have had good reasons for not inviting you, or they only wanted to have their "cool" friends over there

There's one time (this year) where I didn't invite someone to my birthday party, and he kept asking and asking and asking about what the plans were and when it would be. (His cousin, who I invited, told him about the party, not me...)

I later had to explain to the guy's cousin that I didn't invite that guy because he'd hog all the attention and he's quite inappropriate most of the time. It wasn't that I was just doing what I wanted by not inviting him. It was for my other friends that I invited there. I didn't want them to have to put up with him.

Also, since it was my party I figured they'd want to talk to me a lot, and with him there, he'd hog all the attention (like I said). I just wanted to keep it fair, and I never invited him. It turns out he called me during the party and told me he couldn't go anyway.

In the end, it all worked out, and I'm still hanging out with him. It's a great idea to hang out with him when it's just us two (and his family), but when I have other friends around as well it's a terrible idea. Especially since I often want to have important discussions with my other friends, which can't happen if he's around.

After all this was over, I discussed that situation with my parents. They said I made the right choice and it was good for me to think of my other friends like that.
